Description

Specialties

Our vocal studio specializes in voice training. We help people to develop their singing voice.

Our teaching method is derived from the Bel Canto technique («beautiful singing» in Italian) which proved to be equally beneficial for singers of any musical genre: classical, jazz, musical theater, pop or rock. In class, working on vocal technique is inextricably linked with development of such an important aspect of performing as acting. In fact, good acting and ability to deliver a great performance is a key to success for a singer.

Loyalty and consistency are great keys to success as well. We are interested in working with students who have goals for their studies, are serious about mastering their instrument and stagecraft and willing to work hard. The result of our mutual work is transformation, a miracle happening when students finally meet the voice they might have never suspected in themselves.

Meet the Business Owner

Sofya P.

Business Owner

My name is Sofya and I am a vocal coach. I was born in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. When I was 4 years old, my fascination with music and especially singing was noticed by my mother who sent me to the children’s chorus academy. Music has been an integral part of my life ever since. I graduated with honors from Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory with dual degree in Vocals and Conducting of Choir and worked as a soloist and choirmaster in Nizhny Novgorod State Opera House. I have been involved in various stage productions: «Eugene Onegin», «Iolanta» and «Queen of Spades» of Tchaikovsky, «Prince Igor» of Borodin, «Aida» and «La Traviata» of Verdi, «Tosca» of Puccini among many others.

Aside from working in a theater, as a head and soloist of vocal ensemble «Canzona», I had a privilege of performing on multiple stages across Russia, former republics of USSR and several other countries around the world.
