EMERGENCY FRACTURED TOOTH: I had a fractured tooth which happened at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. I reviewed online providers in my area covered by my insurance and Dr. Souferian was part of the network (Assurant /​Aetna). I found out that they were open 7-​days a week (Sundays!). I called first thing when they opened (10:00 a.m.) and they got me in that early afternoon (1:00 p.m.). The staff was friendly on the phone, the dental assistant and front desk personnel were professional, courteous and personable.
They had forms available on their website which I downloaded and had completed before my arrival. I also photocopied my insurance card and provided search result printout and had ready for them before arriving to the office. This sped up the 1-​time-​visitor process.
Dr. Souferian was pleasant, professional, personable and comforting. I was concerned as I was leaving for Spain two days later. The doctor assured me that they could take care of it right away.
They did an x-​ray to ensure that the fracture wasn’t deeper than it appeared. He carefully explained (1) what the problem was (2) what the procedure would be to remedy it (3) what could be necessary in the future and (4) assured me to come back if there were further discomfort. I was in and out within an hour: he removed the old filling, put in a new filling, shaved the tooth down for proper bite-​alignment. Before anything was done, he explained what was to take place. And made sure I gave permission for move ahead.
I did not have to wait in the waiting room and they attended to me immediately.
I highly recommend their facility. A professional dental clinic in the neighborhood.

Dr. Souferian is personable and conscious. Trust me, you don’t want someone messing with your teeth and they’re half-​asleep! My problem was with sensitivity in my wisdom tooth. He actually palpated my gums to determine what else was bothering me and, on top of that, he didn’t tell me to take out my other wisdom teeth… only the pesky one that has the cavity. Other dentists would just say take them all out even if it’s not bothering me.
Also, he was the only dentist I’ve ever gone to who talked about proper flossing. (you’re supposed to floss on both sides of the teeth where you’re flossing)

Like too many people, I put off going to the dentist until I am in pain. As a result, I had not been to dentist in several years, up until two months ago. About this time, I began experiencing pain in two teeth. I assumed I had cavities and finally made an appointment, to see Dr. Souferian.
Turns out, I had several cavities, two of which were rather deep. He told me exactly what my options were and said he would remove the dead pulp, fill the cavity and do his best to avoid me having to get root canal. Over the course of several visits, I found Dr. Souferian to be honest, easy going and very clear about what he was doing.
It would have been more expensive, and therefore profitable for him, to use resin fillings, he suggested I go with the silver because it is stronger and will last longer. When it was determined that I needed a root canal on one of the teeth, he told me that it was a relatively complex root canal and would feel better if I had the procedure done by a specialist. I took his advice, went to the specialist (who told me it was a tricky tooth to work with) and was extremely pleased with his work as well.
I’ve now visited Dr. Souferian’s office six times over the past few months and cannot praise him enough. I almost look forward to going to the dentist… almost =)
Professional, great bedside manner, very reasonably priced and great communication. His assistant, Shania (sorry I don’t know how to spell her name) is also very pleasant and very good about scheduling and confirming appointments. I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment time.
To sum up, the best doctor I have ever been to!

My husband and I both have Dr. Souferian as our Dentist and both have recently had work done. He is by far the best Dentist I have had. He is always great about explaining what is going on and my options. He is very personable and an honest and wonderful person. I do have some anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist and I never feel this way with him. I do not see myself going to anyone else as long as he is practicing.

Dr. Souferian is unmatchable in my estimation. He is caring, considerate, wise and does his work proficiently and in an expert manner. He saw me immediately once I called to make an appointment. I had a toothache over Christmas and he set up the appointment quickly. He worked arduously and carefully, saving me from many hours of continued pain. I have been to several dentists who ended up doing shoddy work. Dr. Souferian is in a league by himself. He outshines by far any other dentist I have ever had. By all means, he is the person to see. He also saves you money. He is very considerate of cost and tells you upfront what prognosis and price will be. The man is a gem. Do not call anyone else CALL HIM!!! He’s just superb.

I felt compelled to write a review for this dentist because after my previous experiences with dentists and with some of the horrifying stories my friends have told me, I was glad to find a dentist I actually liked. I chose this dentist at random after determining he takes my insurance.
Positives:
–I did not have a long waiting time. There is a particular dentist (in BR) that I used to go to that always had me waiting FOREVER. I actually was able to sit in a patient room not too long after I filled out all of my paperwork. While you are waiting for him, his assistants will have you do this or that so that you don’t feel like you’re waiting long at all for him.
–He actually talks to you. I found him to be very friendly. He does not chastise you, which was nice considering I hadn’t been to the dentist in awhile.
–I felt he was incredibly honest. In retrospect, the old dentist I used to go to definitely ripped me off, claimed I had all of these cavities, that I needed my wisdom teeth out, etc. Dr. Souferian told me that I had no cavities and that he felt, in my case, getting my wisdom teeth out was not a necessity but an option.
–E-​mail reminders for when you need to go back for your check-​up.
All-​in-​all I had a very positive experience with Dr. Souferian and will be returning soon. I have no negatives to report as of yet.

Dr. Souferian is absolutely the best dentist I have ever had. It’s not even close. I have never felt more comfortable in a dentist’ s office. He tells me exactly what needs to be done and show’s me on digital x-​rays. The work he has done on my teeth is excellent. Also, he is open six days a week and does late appointments.
