Terrible service. The girl who was«running» the register was more concerned with how her nails looked than to help ANYone in the store. Though, her friend came in and was expedited to the front of the line. No one else got service at all and I had to walk out. There are plenty of bagels places who would love to take my money. NEVER setting foot in Steve’s Bagels EVER again!

Bagels are not great, but OK. Ditto for the coffee. What’s attractive here are the old-school prices, which are way less than at newer, trendier shops.

Steve’s son is the best employ they have working, not only are their bagels amazing but this kid always has me smiling a coming back for more, he always makes my ice coffee just the way I like it!!! I love the everything bagels with veggie cream cheese, the prices aren’t crazy, you get what you pay for!!! Thank you steve for making my mornings wonderful!!!

I like to come here to get my bagel fix in the morning. I always order an everything bagel with cream cheese, NOT toasted. Why the workers would even ask if I want a freshly made bagel to be toasted makes me shake my head. Steve’s Bagel is easily the best tasting everything bagel from sunset park to bay ridge. This was the first bagel place to make me question did I really need any cream cheese at all. The everything bagel is on the doughy side which is a good thing for me. The«everything» toppings were great and unlike most places also covered the bottom of the bagel. The bagel had an awesome crunch and flavor from the garlic and on the saltier side which I like also.

Best bagels in the area! Fresh made daily. Their coffee can be improved by buying better coffee beans to brew, but let’s go back to the bagels… My fav is whole wheat everything scooped out, toasted and plain cream cheese inside.

Take 4th avenue, drive down 80 street and 3rd avenue and GOTOBAGELBOY. I waited 20 minutes to get my order taken while some chick behind the counter flirted with a customer before me. That should of been a sign to leave but no, I decided to be patient. It was NOT worth the wait and definitely never coming back.

Been coming here for years and there’s one guy who just sucks at making sandwiches. The guy puts the same amount of meat that subways would give and charged $ 7.50… get your shit together Steve’s bagel and retrain that tall deliman with the glasses.

$ 9.50 for a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese and lox. $ 9.50! Now I don’t know when the prices have raised but $ 9.50 is pretty ridiculous for the amount of lox or even cream cheese that I’m getting. The bagels are tasty and their everything bagel is great, no skimping on that end but I won’t be returning for my favorite lox and cream cheese bagel anytime soon. Really sad about that since I pass by every time I’m on the way to the train.

My doctors office is near here so I always stop in for a bagel. The bagels are good, the cream cheese is tasty but my favorite thing? It’s a family run business and you can really tell. It also seems like the neighborhood place as so many people know each other there. Other then that? There’s no seating area but there is counter space to stand at. Don’t compare this place to Dunkin Donuts or what other chain bagel place you have in mind. It’s not that kind of place. It’s better.

I’ve walked past this store so many times in the past. I can’t believe I’ve never stopped in for a bagel before! Steve’s definitely has deliciously fresh bagels. They’re humongous and carry more flavors than most stores do. They even have whole wheat everything. They’re not skimpy on the everything seasonings on top. The whole top of the bagel is completely covered(mmmmm). They are also very generous with their cream cheese as well. Everything in the store looks very fresh. I can’t wait to come back and try their other goodies.

I was a fan until they charged me $ 3.75 for a whole wheat bagel with vegetable cream cheese? I would rather go somewhere else and add an extra dollar for a sandwich. The bagel is good, but definitely not worth about $ 4.

Delicious place to grab breakfast – the bagels here are ENORMOUS and will be generously covered with your choice of schmear. For me, that’s lox and cream cheese on an everything bagel. I also love that they have so many flavors of iced coffee; it’s the perfect cool accompaniment to a hot toasted bagel. If bagels aren’t your thing, the pastries behind the counter also tend toward the super-sized and look equally delicious. As for service, even when the line is long, it moves quickly because the guys behind the counter are so efficient. They’ll getcha in and out with breakfast in hand in no time. Definitely stop by here if you’re in the Bay Ridge area.

Jackson and I come to Steve’s every Saturday. We look forward to it all week. We have to stop ourselves from going on Sunday too, as it is very tempting. The staff: The staff is all very nice. It is a family business, and everyone is really great. I saw someone comment below on the daughter not being nice. She has always been nice to us, and very pleasant… so i think it is probably the Unilocaler with the issues, not Steve’s staff. The bagels: I have been to many bagel places in Brooklyn, and I feel the Steve’s is the best. I am yet to have a bad bagel from Steve’s. If you are looking for a good place to grab a bagel sandwich you can’t go wrong at Steve’s. Bakery: I am hesitant to comment on the baked goods, because I don’t want you going there before me and taking the last chocolate scone. I am serious, don’t order a scone on Saturdays, because it’s mine. You can order it on any other day. Best chocolate scone I have had in my entire life. I dare anyone who is reading this to make me a chocolate scone, and i will give it my honest assessment. I am a scone aficionado. The muffins are also very good. As i previously mentioned, we go to Steve’s every Saturday, and will continue to do so. It is the best bagel around, with good prices and great service. The food is consistent, and hits the spot every time.

I love this place. I use to come here a few times a week because I went to school nearby. The bagels here are huge and they’re not cheap with their cream cheese. I always get my favorite, Cinnamon Raisin with cream cheese lightly toasted. The employees here are so nice as well! Oh! And their muffins… THEY’RETHEBOMB. Please share your recipe with me! I will definitely stop by again when I’m in the neighborhood!

Unfortunately Steve’s has some of the worst bagels in Bay Ridge, and they don’t offer green bagels on St. Patricks which I think is a little lame considering the large Irish population in Bay Ridge. Their muffins are pretty good though, and if you get there at the end of the day and buy 2 they will give you the third for free. The sandwiches are ok but they don’t offer whole wheat wraps. The pre made salads look ok, but all have meat or chicken in them. I go here because its convenient, the people are nice enough but it’s nothing special.

Steve’s bagels is the only bagel place that I know that has their everything toppings on BOTH sides of the bagel! And with lots of it! The everything bagel is flavorful and chewy. They have a whole wheat variety if you want to be healthier, but«stuff» is only on one side of that one. Lots of other bagel varieties like cinnamon raisin, egg, pumpernickel, etc. Lots of different cream cheese spreads! Their ice coffee is pretty good too! They always have a long line in the morning but it moves fast. They open till 10pm so you can get a bagel anytime! Always fresh and made on premises. I’ve been coming here for years and now that I’ve moved away from the hood, I appreciate it so much more. Sigh.

The initial reason I came here was because it’s just steps away from the train station = Easily accessible. In the mornings they do have a long line but it never stays long as they are very fast when taking orders. So you are pretty much in and out in about 5 — 10 minutes depending on what you ordered. I’ve only had their bagels here:(but they also have breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, pastries, etc.) Their bagels are a decent size and taste decent. Not too dough-y, and not dry. Faves are the cinnamon rasin and the whole wheat honey. Not so faves are the blueberry(the blueberries don’t taste like fresh real blueberries) They ALWAYS put TOOMUCH crème cheese on the bagel so I keep telling them not to put so much. I do wish the crème chese didn’t taste so generic. They do have other crème chese options like strawberry and chives. I also think the bagels taste better if they are toasted: Crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Cost for a bagel with crème cheese? $ 1.75 They do accept credit cards via a cellphone and the SQUARE credit card reader. Staff is great!

I don’t know anything about the neighborhood. I don’t know anything about the shop or the owners or the staff. I don’t know how much the bagels even cost. Really helpful review so far, huh? So what do I know? Steve’s Bagels are awesome! Thanks to a generous co-worker who surprised us with a bag of bagels this morning I was able to try one of Steve’s whole wheat bagels. With a slight crunch on the outside, the bagel was so soft and chewy inside and huge compared to those silly bagels from the grocery store. If I find myself in Bay Ridge in the future best believe I’ll be stopping in for a dozen.

This place has been my go to spot for fresh bagels. Being that there are not many bagel spots left in Brooklyn. I should know going to school in Brighton Beach when you could get a bakers dozen for a dollar, bagels are a lost art. The bagels are very fresh here so there is never a problem of what the shelf life might be as compared to going to your local supermarket. I love the cinnamon raisin, poppy. ooohh poppy, pumpernickel, onion dam how could u go wrong just give me one of each. So I usually get a sandwich, the virginia ham with swiss cheese a little bit of mustard. Yummy, so good a nice filling sandwich. They have a fresh assortment of cold cuts and hot table food to choose from. Not bad, not bad at all.
