I just had my first appointment at this salon, and everything has turned out amazingly. I booked through Lifebooker for a cut and full highlights. I was a little nervous about the highlights because I’ve never really had them done before, and I was going with blond. I brought a picture in that I liked, showed my stylist, Michael, and hoped for the best. He really got it right! My hair doesn’t look unnatural, or brassy, or too blond or not blond enough. I am really, really happy with it. I am also really happy with my haircut, which is also impressive given that I had about two inches cut off. I feel like my hair has lots of bounce and volume. I also have to mention that the laDy who rinsed and washed my hair was amazing. Very friendly, and gave a bit of a scalp and neck massage. I didn’t feel pushed into buying anything. Michael suggested a product, but didn’t push it and he even gave me a discounted glaze, despite the fact that I used a deal from Lifebooker. The space was clean, and bright, and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back.

I have been going to this spa for my Brazilians now for a couple months. First experience was trough groupon and I’ve been going ever since. Wonderful experience, great costumer service and the place is just beautiful. They greet you, give you a beverage while you wait and always ask about your experience after. Services are very reasonably priced and I will continue my waxing journeys at this wonderful business.

I cannot say enough great things about this salon. I initially was drawn here because of a groupon for haircut and blowout, the good reviews, and location near Brooklyn Heights. Mario was so talented and full of energy, he did a fantastic job. I am 8 months pregnant and started to have a fainting spell near the end of my blowout and the staff was incredible and really took care of me until my husband could arrive. I found out at the end of my appointment that Mario doesn’t take groupons and the receptionist made an error by booking my appointment with him– but the salon honored my groupon, no questions asked.

Very nice people. Stayed open tonight in order to accommodate a last minute blowout need for me and my daughter. Great job. It’s easy to see why they’ve stayed in business so long!

I have been going to Diva Salon for haircut/color for about a year now and really like the service and the salon. My stylist Ester has flawless technique and she is always striving to make me happy when I walk out the door — and always suceeds. She is a very good colorist and her cuts grow out well. The salon itself is a large and clean space with some bling in terms of the style. All the staff are helpful and very kind. Highly recommend for good service at a good price.

Great service for the price. Nice clean location. Not a luxury spa, but still very relaxing. I got a Swedish Massage and Facial(2 hrs service) for $ 95. At that price, it’s my new monthly treat. Irina was fabulous!

Every time I call to make an appointment they ask me over the phone if it’s a groupon first(I tell them yes) and then they tell me there is no available appointments. This has happened on 3 separate occasions, Tuesday, Wednesday and finally on Saturday. When I called the last time someone else answered and when they asked me if I had a groupon I told them NO and what do ya know, they had an available appointment. This place is so shady. When I arrived for my appointment the guy at the desk(pretty sure he was the owner) asked me if I had a groupon, I told him yes and he said I can’t take you today, I told him I already had an appointment and he can’t do that. After arguing with him for 10 mins over him being wrong about this, he finally said okay fine since you’re here I guess we will have to take you(like he was doing me a favor or something). So I go to the back to change in the room I hear him talking to my massage/facial lady saying that I am using a groupon. I felt like they weren’t going to do as good of a job because I had a groupon.(I’m still going to TIP what the actual amount is). Well what do ya know… It was probably the worst massage & facial I’ve ever had!!! Let’s just say that my 3 year old niece could give a better massage. She started my massage like 5 minutes late and ended it 10 minutes early. Out of the 45 minutes of that maybe about 10 minutes of it was actually good. Then she started my facial and she put something on my face and walked out of the room for 15 minutes(I was looking at the clock) usually they are still massaging your neck area or arms. I still gave her a good tip even for the lack of talent. They really shouldn’t advertise on groupon if they aren’t going to be available for groupon customers!!! Too bad because the place looks nice inside. I would have made a 2nd appointment too for Monday(my birthday) but not now! I would never want to deal with that asshole again!!!

Received awesome treatments at Studio Diva today. Best. Massage. Ever. by Nila. Just what I hoped for on a cold Brooklyn morning. I also had a wonderful facial and pain free eye brow wax. I was met on time for appointment, all facilities were spotless, and all staff very polite. I keep coming back every time I visit Brooklyn.

I had a great coloring experience at Studio Diva recently! I haven’t colored my hair since high school(which was, ahem, a long time ago!) and I was very nervous about doing it. Michael was my stylist, and when I told him that I wanted to make my already blond hair just a wee bit blonder and brighter, but also look VERY natural, he completely understood. The result was gorgeous! It is a nice light honey color. Nobody would ever know that I had it colored(which was the goal), but everyone will think I have the most gorgeous hair ever! I told Michael that after my appointment I was going out on the town with girlfriends, and he took the extra time to give me a little curl so it would(per his words): «bounce when I was dancing.» What a cutie! It looks great — I highly recommend this salon!

Great news, Mario is now styling, coloring and straightening hair at Diva Salon! He strives for perfection and we reap the benefits. Also, Mario actually listens and executes what you ask for. He is incredibly talented and makes great suggestions, never acting before you are comfortable with what he is about to do. Also his blow outs are amazing and he works expertly on curly, difficult hair. He is kind, considerate and really loves what he is doing with your hair.

Mario, formerly of Studio 78, has joined the team at Diva Salon. His haircuts, blowouts and color continue too be flawless. He is able to manage all types of hair regardless of texture, straight, curly, long or short. He listens to his clients and makes suggestions never trying to force anything on someone.

I went in for a blowout, and was talked into a trim. I was very explicit about only wanting a very minor trim, and my hair ended up 6 inches shorter. Also I asked for a curly blowout and there are no curls in my hair. My hair is shiny & soft and objectively looks good, but is not at all what I wanted or asked for.

Sadly the head guy at the desk is not a clear communicator. Be wear when scheduling anything with him.(English is not obviously his first language). I walked in and told him a wanted a hair style done for a wedding. He was on the phone at the time and said sure, I asked how much and he said $ 35 dollars. Thinking, he understood what a hairstyle meant. I scheduled an appt. When I walked in the next day he was not there but another lady Helga I believe, helped me, she then said it was around $ 50 for a hairstyle and a blow dry was $ 35. I explained nicely that’s not what I was told the day before, I never mentioned anything about a blow dry ever! I showed her a clear picture of what I wanted– I explained 2 or 3 time please make my bangs and curls look like the picture. she added 3 bang Curley things and didn’t swoop my bangs like I specifically asked or what was was shown. I was on a time frame which I also clearly explained to her but, she did what she wanted. At the end of it all the original guy was there, but again on the phone when I was trying to speak with him and clear up the confusion when paying. He was rude, unaccommodating and lacked being a professional. Plus I’m just really unhappy with how my hair looked. I am quite unimpressed with this place and so not worth $ 50 bucks!

Ester is an amazing hair magician beautician that gave me a gorgeous haircut and blowout. They do try to up sell you on everything, but for looking like this, I don’t really care. Clean, affordable, and professional.

Yesterday, I had easily the most horrifying experience at this salon. I just purchased a condo in Brooklyn Heights and while walking the neighborhood, stopped in Studio Diva to replenish my supply of Aveda conditioner. When I was ready to check out, the hair stylist asked me repeatedly if I was sure that I was purchasing only one item, and I repeatedly, and confusedly, responded in the affirmative. Apparently not satisfied, the hair stylist went to do an INVENTORYCHECK in front of everyone before ringing up my purchase. It was not till I paid that it clicked– the hair stylist thought that my sister and I stole from the salon. I should also mention I am Black. This was my first brush with overt and blatant racism. Color me lucky that it took this long for this to happen. But I am still disgusted enough that I know I am never patronizing this establishment and shall make sure that my network, as far as it can reach, shall not be patronizing this store EVER.

This place used to be a kind of dumpy salon on the corner of Henry and Orange but about a year ago, they moved a block north in a new renovated space and it now looks much prettier and modern. I live on Cranberry and Henry, pretty much upstairs from the Salon, so it couldn’t be more convenient for me. However, I remember about 3 years ago I got a haircut from the dumpy old place further down the street and it didn’t wow me at all. I had super short hair at the time, and felt like the end product looked like a poofy 80s old lady cut — I went home and washed the style away immediately, but the cut that I was left with was actually not too bad, still didn’t wow me though. I haven’t had color applied to my hair at all in almost 2 years and I was sick of my flat color, so I popped in yesterday for partial highlights. The place is very clean and the staff extremely sweet and nice. They’re mostly Russian, however, and I feel like you just have to expect them to be a tad pushy(still 100% professional though). Esther did my hair and she did a fantastic job! You can tell she is really passionate about making you look beautiful — she loves her job. For $ 80 I got a half head of blonde highlights and I’m super pleased with the result. She was super nice and offered me water during the whole thing, took a few opportunities to show me the color during the process and ask if I wanted it lighter, etc. She also asked if I wanted it more chunky/modern or very fine and blended in with my hair more. I’ve never had a colorist ask me this before and I thought it was very cool of her to get an idea of how I envision the end product. The only slight thing that costs this review a star? She was kind of pushy and made it very clear that she was doing a bunch of favors for me. The blow dry was supposed to be $ 31(WHAT?!) but she gave it to me for free because I also bought a deep conditioning treatment for $ 15(originally $ 30!). Also, there was a lot of talking while getting my hair shampooed(by a guy — not by her) which I despise — it might just be me, but I prefer it quiet and calming. She proceeded to talk about her facial/massage lady as if she were the best in the world and suggested I book a massage with her since everyone raves about her. She also took the opportunity to tell me that my hair wasn’t cut properly and I should return for a haircut, oh and she gave me a discount card for their nail place down the street — a mani/pedi for $ 30. Actually, that wasn’t a big deal, and I might even try that place out, but it just overall seemed like she was pushing the salesperson thing. Didn’t bother me too much since I don’t have much of a problem telling her«no thanks» but I can see how others would find it annoying. Overall, for $ 95(+$ 25 tip for her and shampoo guy), I got gorgeous highlights, a nice deep conditioning and a pretty good blow out. Not something I would do more than 3−4x a year, but it was a reasonable treat for sure.

Booked a wax through Groupon. Making an appointment over the phone was easy. Once I got there, Irina was very nice, and did a decent job. I did have quite a few stray hairs the following day. I would recommend the experience if you can get it for a discount. Its not a service worth $ 60 or $ 70.

Found them on lifebooker — convenient location so i decided to give it a try. Had appointment for highlights. I was very very picky about the color that i wanted as i have a strong reddish pigment in my hair and wanted ashy blond highlights on light brown base and Michael got it right! The girl who washed my hair — loved it! i thought i am going to fall asleep in the chair how relaxing it was. I ended up coming back few days later for haircut. I get compliments about the color every day! Overall its a nice neighborhood hair salon with no attitude and very friendly staff. oh and they have special kids chair — so cute!!! never seen those before!
