Deliiiciousssss chinese food. Plus the delivery guy is extremely friendly. I love the dumplings, they’re very doughy which I like.

Nothing special about this place, I was just hungry running by and decided to calm down my hunger with some Chinese food. I had Chicken with fried rice, the rice was really good but the chicken was just alright, maybe they fried it more than it usually has to be. Also I had some egg rolls and I liked them, they were fresh, yummy and crunchy. Service was alright, and I am pretty much satisfied with it. It did not too l them much to prepare my order, it was not super fast but it was not slow too. I think it is a nice spot for a lunch or if you are starving and need some hot, fresh food.

If your looking for refined gourmet dining then this is not the right place for you. Since the gourmet bars, restaurants, yuppies and real estate developers took over Park Slope’s 5th avenue they pushed all the really good hole in the wall Chinese food places out sun luck is basically become an oasis in a dessert. I eat here for the cheap eats like fried chicken wings, the appetizers, and soups if I want great Chinese I go to the many high end spots dotted along 7th avenue. Anything after the cheap eats I always come out dissatisfied. Ordered general tso’s chicken which was very dry and not well coated with sauce plus it had way too much breading. When I order vegetable dishes they are always greasy and the spare ribs taste rubbery, dry and reheated from several days ago. The chicken wings and homemade lemonade are great In all you get what you pay for.

I should say that I’ve only ever eaten the General Tso’s chicken here. But I’ve eaten it 6 times. I have to say, it’s some of the best General Tso’s I’ve ever had(in the perfect-for-cheap-Chinese kind of way). They fry the chicken in oil for probably 15 minutes, then spend another 5-or-so minutes stirring it in sauce. Now, make no mistake, this is the cheapest of cheap Chinese food. Don’t come in expecting $ 10 service for a $ 6 meal. Yes, everything is dirty. Yes, there are probably health code violations(I have no way of knowing for sure, but you get that feeling, ya know?). Yes, the person taking the orders seems not really to speak English, but only to have memorized the words for the dishes. Yes, if you give them anything more complicated than an extremely simple order, they’re going to screw it up. But hey, come on, it’s $ 6 for a meal that can feed a grown man. If you’re going to complain, go to No Pork Halal Kitchen on 4th Ave. They have $ 8 Chinese food, and the service that goes along with it.

Got food poisoning when I ordered from here, got the pork lo mein and a pork bun. Brutal day and a half. Not OK I would suggest passing on this place, cause it was awfulness incarnate.

I’m only giving them three starts even though they are my go-to dirty chinese place. this is only because when I lived in Manhattan, the dirty chinese places there are so good and so cheap that it’s hard for me to compare lol. I’m a huge fan of sweet plantains but here its a hit or miss. Some days they are super good and sweet and ripe, other days its totally not ripe. Their wonton soup is good, though they skimp on the wontons most of the time. Disappointed with their fried chicken wings. It tastes really weird and artificial or something. I love fried chicken wings from chinese to go places but theirs is not the best. One of the best dishes they have is their chow mien noodles. Its always good and the sauce is on point. Beef with broccoli is good too. the prices are cheap. Not as cheap as Manhattan(I assume its because we are in Park Slope) but reasonable.

I wish I could give less stars. This place is HORRENDOUS. Yes it’s Chinese food, but it’s not even decent cheap Chinese. I ordered through last night, BBQ ribs combo and chicken chow mein combo with some dumplings. I got the order and it was chicken with cashews. So I call the place up to let them know the mixup, and the girl on the phone immediately started SCREAMING at me– no exaggeration. She kept yelling over me and saying ‘I’m sure you ordered wrong,’ and I kept trying to tell her I’m looking at the screen as we speak and did not order wrong. She finally yelled about bringing the dish back and swapping it out before hanging up. When I did get my food, I showed the delivery guy MY receipt, but big surprise, he didn’t care, haha. Either way, never ordering from these crazy a**holes again.

A little surprised at all the glowing reviews for the entrees at this place. I’ve ordered from Sun Luck a few times, and I’ve found that it is OK for convenient, cheap eats, but it’s not that reliable when it comes to quality. They do a good job on hard-to-screw-up appetizers – their dumplings are yummy, as are their won ton soup, scallion pancakes and egg rolls – but I’ve even had the occasional bad experience with dishes that I had previously thought were impossible to mess up, like fried rice, lo mein, and moo shu pork. On the bright side, their delivery is quick as anything(I once clocked them at 15 minutes) and unless you have the bad luck to get the occasional greasy entrée, it hits the spot for Chinese delivery. Still looking for a go-to Chinese place that I really love, but in the meantime, this hits the spot.

We ordered vegetable lo mein and they did not give us noodles. Lo mein with COMES with noodles. They had some nerve to tell me the dry noodles(soup crackers) are served with lo mein. ALLAND I MEANALL Chinese takeout restaurant serves noodles with their lo mein as a standard and this restaurant had the nerve to say those are our LOMEIN noodles(soup crackers); thanks for the fu***** goldfish crackers. Get the fu** out of here. Every New Yorker knows their Lo Mein so why lie. I recommend you order from NO. 1 Chinese over this a shady a** Chinese joint. And what’s worst is they forget our egg rolls in their rant of bit***** at me. I said two words and the lady hung up on me. Thanks you a*******!! DON’T ORDERFROMTHISPLACE.

I have finally found delicious Chinese delivery in Brooklyn. I ordered shrimp egg rolls, moo shu pork, sweet and sour chicken, Hunan chicken and sauteed broccoli. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. My only complaint is the Hunan chicken was lacking in spice despite ordering it extra, extra spicy. Regardless, I will be ordering from here regularly.

Dimsum — Seemed to be siu mai. Steamed and normal. Pork Bun — sweet, generally tender pork. Actually fluffy bun. Not too dense. Szechuan Wonton — spicy and oily.

Without a doubt, the worst«Chinese» food I’ve ever had. I ordered through GrubHub and it arrived in a timely manner, but it was inedible. Cheap ingredients, greasy and just plain crap. Avoid this dump at all cost.

I disregarded a review that mentioned food poisoning when I ordered… I’ve spent the last 24 hours between my bed and the toilet. They get 2 stars though because they delivered this poison in about 15 minutes.

So 2nd review on Unilocal.Currently, I am in bed sick with the GF. very nauseous, puked and can’t even eat a morsel of food since we have FOODPOISONING… doing my semi-CSI research — my gf and i only ate the mooshu chicken with white rice from sunluck for dinner… and feeling sick after 10 –12 hours after having dinner. BOOOO!!! seems to me that this is the place that is handing me a sour stomach and bad taste in my mouth. to be fair — i have ordered here before and never had issues. def would like a credit/debit machine available. but i understand that this is brooklyn and shop owners dont want to spend the cash. but please spend cash on serving clean and cooked food with proper chefs and help. this sucks … never coming here again.

Simply put: for the price, it’s the best Chinese food in the area. The small orders are actually plenty for one person, and they deliver, which is also great. Make sure you have cash, though, because I don’t think they take cards. Could be wrong, I’ll check next time I’m there.

I used to live down the street from Sun Luck. They serve your typical Chinese and fried American fare. I’d typically hit this place up when I was in the mood for a chicken box(wings and fries, for those who don’t know), and my food was always tasty and fried perfectly. I’ve since moved, so I haven’t been in a while, but I would definitely recommend it if you’re in the mood for some golden-fried goodness.

The service here is consistently friendly and fast. The food is cheap, there are a ton of menu options, and they have a great special where you can get a free soda with orders over $ 10. The food is good, but nothing to write home about, and it’s definitely inconsistent. The«veggie meat»(fake chicken) is hit or miss. I’ve had it and LOVED it, and then ordered it the very next day only to have to throw it away because it was essentially inedible. Overall, exactly what you’d expect from a cheap, hole in the wall Chinese place, but with slightly better service.

Its good. Its cheap. It takes like 10 minutes from the time you hang up the phone to get your food… I don’t know how they do it and I’m pretty sure I don’t want to know.

Given the insanely confusing ambiguity of reviews for this and most hole-in-the-wall chinese pit stops, I felt inclined to offer my two cents after trying Sun Luck for delivery tonight. Me and the live-in got a few different things, as it was all cheap and to have a backup in case any of the dishes were a fail. In this case, that was the wonton soup. I’ve experienced wonton soup like this before, where the wontons themselves are really unappetizing looking, especially after you bite into them and instead of porky goodness there’s this weird, congealed brown mass that tastes as off as it looks. I really don’t get why this is so common across various chinese establishments. 0⁄5 Girlfriend got the shrimp and broccoli, her staple. It was pretty tasty, maybe a little light on flavor but good sauce, broccoli, and surprisingly fresh and well-cooked shrimp. 4⁄5 Orange chicken: Again, nothing mind-blowing but certainly satisfactory. A lot of chicken, a little spicy. What I expected/hoped for. 3⁄5 Beef Lo Mein: Pretty enjoyable, maybe a little heavy handed on the oil but good flavor, esp with a little hot sauce. Bok choy and other veggies weren’t overcooked and actually tasted like vegetables, beef was surprisingly tender and well cooked. Noodles themselves were good, standard. 3.5÷5 Overall Sun Luck seems to be a pretty reliable place, but DONT get the wontons in any form and be aware there’s certainly the risk of a few other disappointing items, but for general consistency in quality along with speed and price it’s appealing enough for a second go around.

After reading all of the review of this place on and , I decided to place an order. I ordered, shrimp lo-mein(w/soft noodles), shrimp fried rice, shrimp and broccoli, one shrimp egg roll, and orange chicken(that’s right, for meat, I only eat seafood and poultry). I received my food in less than 25 minutes and I found the man who delivered my food and the lady who placed the order more than pleasant and attentive to details. Now on to the food: The orange chicken… wasn’t as good as Panda Express. The crust was soggy and the sauce was meek but overall it was okay. I would have also liked more chicken and less broccoli at the bottom on the container. The Shrimp fried rice– I’m not quite sure this rice was fried at all. It was more like boiled yellow rice with small pieces of green onion and bean sprouts and no eggs or soy sauce. I wouldn’t order this again. The Shrimp Lo-Mein– the best part of the meal but it too, lacked flavor. I think the mixture included lettuce instead of cabbage– not sure since it was so meshy but in a real crutch, I would order this again. The egg roll– too much dough that covered too much meshy cabbage(no carrots, onions, spices, etc) and two small shrimps. Please avoid this item. Additional con: I only received two small packets of soy sauce to go with my relatively medium order of chinese food. Additional perk: Since my food cost more than $ 20 w/delivery, the threw in 2 cokes without mention. :-)
