Taco Mix

I love finding a good street taco place. There’s something about the grittiness and DIY aspect of two people manning a makeshift cart/​booth in Brooklyn that strikes me as very genuine. However, if the food were awful, it wouldn’t matter. Luckily, it doesn’t.
Taco Mix mixes up a good taco. The al pastor was especially flavorful, as was the carnitas. I washed mine down with a Jarritos, which was sugary, cold and hit the spot. The chicken taco wasn’t as delicious, but would do in a pinch.
The tortas are also impressively huge. While you might find slightly fresher bread elsewhere, when it’s fried up along with your torta meat, it most likely won’t matter much. Feel free to splash some sauce on, as it gives it some extra kick, if that’s your thing.
