Tandem Weddings and Events

I had the opportunity to work with Elizabeth on a wedding in June. Being the makeup artist sometimes the wedding planners forget to leave out important details like times and even location. From the very beginning I felt Elizabeth confident energy that she would not let this bride down. She not only emailed me consistently but even picked up the phone a week before to make sure we were on the same page and that I had everything I needed. A few weeks later I reconnected with the bride to hear about how the day had been for her. She raved about how the day was seamless and «thank God for Elizabeth being there!» I would highly recommend Elizabeth to any future bride of mine as her passion for taking such great care of people is evident after your first meet.

When we began planning our wedding, we had every intention of doing it ourselves and were convinced that we wouldn’t need any outside help. We quickly learned that wedding planning is a full-​time job and there was no way we could have done it alone.
Beginning with our initial consultation, we were immediately impressed by Elizabeth’s organizational abilities, professionalism, and enthusiasm for event planning. Once she met our parents they had the same impression, and throughout the process, she did a great job at mitigating our vision of what we wanted with what they did (which more often than not was quite different), and this one of the areas in which she most excels.
We would have liked there to have been a stronger urge to negotiate with vendors, but all in all, Elizabeth was a joy to work with and we couldn’t have done it without her. Not only were we able to plan our wedding in 5 months, but with Elizabeth’s help, it was the wedding that everyone wanted. We would highly recommend her and Tandem Events to anyone looking to plan their next wedding or event.

We recently used Tandem Weddings for our ceremony and reception, and it was an extremely positive experience. Elizabeth is a pleasure to work with — she is highly organized, creative, resourceful, and thorough. We had all kinds of unconventional requests (baskets of in-​season apples as the centerpieces; gluten-​free cupcakes from Babycakes NYC in lieu of wedding cake; kosher wine for all; an eight-​piece band with a singer traveling from out of state; and more) — and she handled everything with confidence, excellent judgment, and genuine enthusiasm for our wedding.
Elizabeth works extremely well with all kinds of people from clergy to catering staff, and during our ceremony and reception she proved herself to be extremely skilled at ensuring that we were buffered from all the behind-​the-​scenes details and logistics — freeing us to truly enjoy and absorb the day as the meaningful and beautiful moment in our lives that it was. At the same time, she has a keen eye for budget and cost-​containment, and this helped greatly in the early-​to-​mid stages of the planning process.
