Wonderful. any pastry, cookie, cake I’ve tried was definitely delicious fresh, and beautiful… only 1 little problem. I think you need to spend $ 15 to use a credit card. please lower the limit!

Just picked up a «tophat» sugar free cake for my dad. He loved it. It has chocolate, bananas, strawberries, and whip cream. They have a huge selection of sugar free and gluton free. Very impressed and I’ll definitely be back. Finally found a bakery to serve my friends and family who have special diets.

I’m not a big sweets person but their pasticiotti is delicious! They have a huge selection of baked goods and the largest selection of sugar free baked goods I have seen. They have a huge line around the holidays but it is worth the wait!

They will always be my #1 bakery/pastry shop. I have never been disappointed with any order I have ever placed. We love the fruit tart that comes with a hard crust coated in milk chocolate. The fruit is always fresh and the custard cream filling isn’t too sweet-perfectly balanced. I recently ordered 48 cupcakes-24 vanilla, 24 chocolate & I asked for the buttercream frosting to be 16 red, 16, yellow, &16 blue. THEYNAILED IT-the colors were perfect for my daughter’s super hero themed birthday. Every single cupcake was moist and absolutely delicious. Everyone asked where I got them from and I replied :“Tasty Pastry, of course”. Amazing customer service, top notch ingredients, quality deserts.

Fantastic but BEWARE! The pastries and cakes are out of this world, including the sugar-free which are delectable. However, they use sorbitol and if you have a sensitivity to this sugar substitute you will pay for it after eating the sugar free items. Play it safe and just eat less of the regular pastries.

Tasty Pastry is one of the best bakeries in the area! Their cheesecakes are so good and the brownie cheesecake is to die for! If you’re a chocolate lover, you have to try their brownies here. So rich and delicious. Everything is good here and the girls are helpful and friendly. During the holidays the line is so long, but you can smell the bakery down the block and it’s worth the wait. Love their new renovations as well!

This place has an amazing selection. The cannoli and layer cookies are amazing… and worth getting if you’ve ever made either of these treats — they’re so time consuming to make! I buy from this place a few times a year and everything always tastes fresh. My only complaint is that recently I went in to buy cookies, selecting what I wanted from the case, and when I got home I found about a dozen cookies in the bottom of the box that I didn’t pick. All I can think is that the saleswoman threw them in to bring up the weight of the box, since I was paying by the pound. We ate them but next time I will watch more carefully.

Hands down the best bakery I ever been in In the area often so I make at least 3 visits a week Always fresh and always friendly When they get to know you it gets even better and faster Try everything The whole number taking thing I read in other reviews is only when a holiday is approaching Normal days no wait because of plenty of counter help They have a pastry or bread for every holiday even some I never heard of Being across the street from a church they also cater to that crowd Beautiful renovation just completed late 2015 ALWAYS something on sale ALWAYS something on the counter to sample ALWAYS stop in when your on 13th Ave in Dyker Heights area

I could easily give tasty pastry a 5 star rating, unfortunately the reason I’m giving 4 is after my recent encounter. Legit amazing pastries, everything is delicious It is Xmas eve and expected to be busy. That being said, I called two days ago to enquire on some items and ask if I can place an order in advance. The young lady I spoke with said no need to place an order just come in. Fast forward to Xmas eve. Today. Not only are they busy, there’s a line out the door and tickets necessary to make a purchase. I called asking about tickets and was told if you placed an order you come to back if not you need a tickets to wait on line. How ridiculous! I specifically called regarding an order and was told I couldn’t place one to then be told I could have placed an order. To make matters worse, I asked if I could then place an order to which I was told they’re no longer taking orders. W T F To run around looking for a bakery with a newborn on Xmas eve while still needing to get yourself and three children, including a newborn, ready in time for the holiday is beyond insane, especially when you made an inquiry on an order to avoid the stress. After coming here you’ll probably need a drink or two since it’s absolute mayhem. You know you’re in for it when you walk in and have to take a number. They have a large selection of pastries of all kinds but specialize in Italian sweets. The pastries we bought were all very good however the experience coming here is enough to not want to return unless it’s the dead of winter. The staff were grouchy and unpleasant, the other patrons were pushing us and trying to get out the door was a nightmare. Plus, $ 12 for 6 pastries isn’t bad at all. Oh well…

Amazing! Maybe it’s that I’m used to Manhattan prices for mediocre pastries, but this place rocks. They have such a wide selection of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. They even have a sugar-free section. It can get very very crowded here where you have to take a number, but it’s worth it. My friend and I got a lemon chiffon cake for $ 10 and it was amazing. It will probably last us a week given its size. Slices of cake are $ 3, and they have many gingerbread houses and packages of cookies for sale, which make perfect gifts. They also have coffee drinks. I tried the roasted marshmallow flavored coffee and the egg nog latte. Delicious. As for seating, there are only 4 seats along a very narrow bar in the front. It’s a take-out place. Check it out if you’re in the area. You’ll want to buy everything.

Uhmm, yeah? Seriously, this place takes the cake(see what I did there?) when it comes to Italian baked goodies and they don’t skimp. They’ve got all your traditionals like rainbow cookies, Napoleans, butter cookies and more — all quite tasty. But to top that off, they’ve got extras like tartufo, gelato, spumoni(rivals L&B’s) and a tiramisu made with actual liquor instead of crap flavoring. Oh and olive bread that actually — get this — tastes like there’s olives inside. Original recipes throughout and they adhere to them. Did I mention everything’s super tasty? The only annoying thing is I like to browse before buying and really don’t need three girls asking me in a two minute period if I need help. But I figure that comes from the top down to make sure no one’s waiting around for service. Good luck getting here by subway. It’s quite the long walk from the nearest stop or you can grab the bus and get dropped off several blocks away. Yeah, a bit of a hike but totally worth it if you’re looking for a real throwback Brooklyn-Italian style bakery treat.

Thank you Tasty Pastry for providing this BEAUTIFUL cake for our wedding on June 27th!!! The cake was exactly what I wanted and I was sooooo excited to see it when we got to the venue! Oh and did I forget to mention, it was absolutely delicious as is everything we get from your shop! The only flaw was that it was soooo good everyone ate it all up(no leftovers to take back to the hotel with us since we are saving the top tier for our First Anniversary) Great Job!!!

I had a mini-panic attack when I walked in on Mother’s day morning, and didn’t see any canoli’s in the case… oh…they make them FRESH! when you order them… that makes sense. No exaggeration, these are the best things I’ve ever eaten anywhere in the world. Nice touch, with the small candies on each end. Just pleasant people, and wonderful food.

After Dyker Heights Christmas lights we stumbled past this little shop, and how could we not go inside. Every expectation on what a pasty shop should be is here and every little morsel looked absolutely heavenly. The shop is extremely clean. I didn’t plan on buying anything, I just wanted to take a peek. But I couldn’t resist! Everything looked perfect, from the cookies, to the cakes, to the date bars! A few cannolis, a lobster tail, and a gluten free cookie(which was decent indeed) and we were on our way. Oh and an extra cannoli that we finished before the door closed on our exit.

When you walk into this place, you get a whiff of sugary greatness. Down the entire left side you will see rows and rows of cookies and pastries. They have a ton of options from gluten-free two sugar-free to low-carb and all the typical stuff and more you see at Italian bakeries. Down the right side you’ll see some freezers a cake display and some seasonal chocolate work and cookie baskets. They even have a few packaged gluten-free bagels and muffins as well as ice cream and cream filling ready to eat or take home with you. I came here with a few people and almost immediately we were asked if we could be helped. Seems friendly, right? Not so much. There were about 5 or 6 girls behind the counter and at least 3 of them asked us 1 – 2 times each if we were ready to order. You would think that having so many people coming to the shop, the counter girls would be more willing to let you browse for a few minutes before jumping on your backs. The first and second time was okay but by the fifth and six times, we were a little bit annoyed. Two of us got some cookies and two of us shared a small lobster tail. The lobster tail was filled with delicious cream but the outside was less crispy then I would have liked. I may come back here if I’m in the area, but besides for that I doubt I would recommend this place.
