Missing my favorite children’s store after this past holiday season! They always had such a great selection of merchandise in a wide range of prices. The staff and the owner, Elliesha, especially were always so knowledgeable and super friendly. Whenever my friends and family saw The Green Onion logo on a box they knew they were in for a treat! And I always loved getting my youngest daughter her«fancy outfit» for New Years every year. Elliesha always helped me pick the perfect one. I really miss the personal attention that only a neighborhood store like this could provide.

It’s gone? I miss this place! The Green Onion was my little secret. I could always count on the owner Elliesha to a help me pick out great gifts and then recommend a good place to eat nearby haha! I always came here to pick up presents for my nieces, cousins and coworkers children. I would get the best compliments because I never gifted people the typical things you see at chain stores. Now where do I go? That other place that took over is ehh, not terrible. I guess I was spoiled by the Green Onion.

Thank god this place went out of business! The owner, Elliesha, was such a miserable person to talk to, who I ended up getting stuck with when I was perusing the store. She was offensive, rude and unpleasant. Made bizarre comments to me in front of my child and it was extremely awkward shopping there. Glad she’s closed.

The old owner of Green Onion did not seem to love her customers; the new owner is as sweet as can be. She takes the time to help you find things, and she’s not the kind of person who tries to steer you to the expensive stuff(and there’s plenty of expensive stuff.) I pop in all the time with requests like, «I need something for a girl who is turning 6 but is built kind of small and only wears dresses and prefers purple…» and she walks straight to a rack and pulls out something that will work. I’ve gotten my kids school clothes here, and special-occasion stuff for my son(because the carry brands that are dressy but still cool). The baby stuff is beautiful; thank goodness my kids are older or I’d be broke browsing all that!
