The Stand

Owner greeted me through the door and was extremely nice and helpful. Premium Gold packs were cheap! It’s small but it has a large inventory. Would recommend this place!

The Stand is legendary amongst those who know about it. I found this place back in ’01 when I was young and Pokemon and Yugioh were hot. They had the best selection of cards and prices that were competitive with their competition, which was the now-​closed Bull Pen Comics & Cards on Coney Island Avenue, and the local drug and toy stores that sold the cards.
Today, I like this place because he’s got a lot of retro games and comics. If there’s anything I recommend his store for nowadays, it’s the retro gaming stuff. He sometimes gets in old systems but always has games from the 16-​bit era.
Price-​wise, I understand his game cards are pricey, and I don’t know what they go for today but honestly those old card games are not popular enough to justify great deals from any hobby shop.
Anyway, great spot on the Gravesend/​Sheepshead border, recommend to anyone.

This store has false price advertisement. Went in an tried to pick up cards… checked up the price of the product in front of the store manager/​owner. He got mad and checked up the price himself and decide to raise the price nearly 3x the price he had labeled. Its not my fault that he labeled the wrong price. I had to check the price because I didn’t know the prices on the product. I highly advice anyone not to go to this store because of the bad customer service it provides and they don’t value your consumer rights to check for better prices. I end up not purchases anything from this store because of the reasons above and I will never go back to this store ever again because of the same reasons. Also this person that runs the store on the daily basic doesn’t value customer privacy because the whole time I was there he was standing in front of me to see if I was checking up on the prices of his products. I have purchased from this store multiple times. This is the first time this has ever happened. I also go to similar stores that sell the same products and I check the prices in front of the store manager/​owners too. The other store manager don’t seem to have a problem with it, but this store owner seems to not value his consumers business.
