The Teaching Studios of Art

I have been taking classes with Rob and his terrific staff of instructors for a year. They are a highly talented, professional group of people who have demonstrated a personal style that focuses on the student and their individual needs. Their patients, positive attitude, and good spirits have made it a pleasure attending classes. The studio has more than ample space and is well maintained.
Coming from western Nassau County I find the schools location to be conveniently accessed by car. The street parking is safe and convenient.
My instructional experience has been more than positive, and I heartily recommend to the seasoned artist as well as the neophyte.

I’ve been studying figure drawing for a while under Rob Zeller, the school’s director. It has been a wonderful education for me and I recommend this school, and this course in particular, to anyone who is serious about art. Rob’s approach to drawing is classical realism. He will take the student, experienced or not, through the path of constructing the figure step by step with clarity and patience.
The studio is beautifully set up and is an inspiration for art-​making. The walls are lined with plaster models of statuary, which are hung along with the staff’s incredible paintings, some of which are class teaching pieces. The space is clean and airy. The models are rotated on a regular basis, both male and female, and each and everyone that we’ve had so far is experienced and professional.
Right across the street are various food places where you can catch a bite during break or whatever, and most are open late.
Transportation is fairly easy; by car from Queens its about a 20 minute ride. Parking is plentiful.
Whether you are a beginner who needs to learn, or seasoned artist — and you know that there is no end to learning art — this is the place to start.
