History

Established in 1969.

The Kang System of Taekwondo represents over 60 years of world-​class experience in martial arts training.

The Kang Family established the first Taekwondo Academy in Brooklyn, New York in 1969.

The program’s phenomenal success is based on training methods developed and tested over time by Grandmaster Tae Sun Kang.

Grandmaster Tae Sun Kangtrained in the martial arts directly under his father, the world-​renowned Great Grandmaster Suh Chong Kang, 10th Dan Black Belt, the highest ranking Korean martial artist in the world.

TKANG is the best taekwondo school you can find. They don’t just hire instructors off the street,. Each instructor was a student and have been with TKT for at least 15 years. They only hire from within and are very particular about how they conduct their business. They take particular interest in each of their students which is a high feat in itself. If you are dedicated to the art of taekwondo and show you take it seriously the instructors make it a point to work on every aspect to ensure you will improve in your strengths and perfect what you excel at. If you are lacking in any particular aspect perhaps it s because you need to work harder at it or put more practice in. By the way what other martial arts school encourages you to attend every day? TKT is an elite school.
