Made an appointment with 3 hour window. Nobody showed up, I called and called left VMs. Few hours after the expected window Mohamed called and said he’ll be coming in a few hours which was already close to 9 PM…
He shows up and tells us «full diagnostic» is going to be $ 125. On the question of what full diagnostic means response was «we’ll follow all of the steps, take apart everything do everything by the book»… long story short 6 screws later and one volts matter reading (10 minutes total) I am told diagnostic is complete and I have to pay $ 136 (including tax) and that I will get full invoice later. Week passes nobody contacts me, I email the «office» and a few days later get a response that everything has to be replaced: «system freon repair, compressor change and board change also recharging seal system». The guy must be a genius to figure all this out by doing one reading on the board!!! The charge is $ 600 just for the labor (part is covered by LG under warranty). So I reply with questions about what kind of warranty they provide on labor and NEVER EVER hear back… My gut feeling told me this is not right. Called a different company who came in, and did not have to change compressor or board and a few hours later refrigerator was back to working fine and has been for a few month now. This is a perfect example of unfair business practice and warranty fraud. If you would like to get scammed call these people, if not look elsewhere…

DO NOT use this company — Will not waste time with the chronology — read the other reviews — they are not exaggerating — Unprofessional, no regard for time or truth — Appalling excuse for a customer service department. Appointment was set up by AJ Madison where I purchased the Frigidaire appliances — range, dishwasher and refrigerator — Problem was with the range — After 1 month still not fixed — am calling AJ Madison to advise that they change repair service providers so other customers can avoid the aggravation. Will also report this to Frigidaire.

Top Digital Appliances is not a responsible or reliable company. They did repair my refrigerator the 1^st time or at least I thought I did. Scheduled a 2^nd appointment and tried to call the office no answer and I was unable to leave a vm. They never showed up and they left a message 2 hours later saying they were to busy. Scheduled a 3^rd appointment and tried to call the office no answer and was unable to leave a vm. Called the cell number I had and was told they were busy but would call me back and never showed and never called me or left a message. Very unprofessional. Frigidaire and all other companies should stop using them as a repair service. I will also be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

I was put in contact with this company through LG when my refrigerator malfunctioned while it was still under warranty. I am assuming this type of relationship is the only reason why this company is still in business bc a simple search tells you no one is happy with them. I called LG and they got me an appointment with TDA for the next day. The window that they gave me was 8 – 5. That should have been my first clue. The technician called me at 11:30 and said he would be at my house between 12 and 3. When he finally showed up at my house at 3:45, he and another guy looked at my fridge for five minutes and told me that my fridge was not defrosting correctly and that they would need to order a part. I was already annoyed by this bc I had explained to the people at LG what the error code on the fridge was and a simple Google search had already told me that I would need a new part. I’m not really sure why this wasn’t communicated to the tech who is in the business of repairing refrigerators and who, one would assume, would have parts available at his business. Anyway, he told me he would rush order the part and it would take between 3 and 4 business days. This should have been clue #2 bc I could have Amazon primed this same part and had it at my house by Thursday. This was on a Tuesday and he assured me he’d be back by Friday. In the meantime he suggested I unplug my fridge so that it could defrost a little. Really, I have three kids and a fridge full of groceries, fat chance that is going to happen. To continue, I never heard back from the company so I called them the following Tuesday (one week had passed). A woman answered the phone and told me that the part had not come in yet but she was going to find out what happened and get back to me. Never called me. I tried calling her back only to get a machine. Called LG and they got in touch with her and told me they would follow up with the company in regards to my appointment. They didn’t. Another week passed and I called again. My part was in and now they were going to come to my house that day between 12 and 3. Another day wasted and again, no phone call. Called them again at 5:30 and they said the guy was on his way. Again, waited and waited and nothing. Finally called them back at 7:45 and I got a machine saying to call back during business hours. (Business hours being 8am-​8pm). Called LG who was super-​unhelpful and also could not get in touch with the company. At 8:45pm tech finally calls me and tells me he will be here in a few minutes. He and the other guy are here as I type this. I am giving them 1 star bc Unilocal does not allow me to give them zero stars. As an aside, if you have a dog, be prepared to have the guy flip out. I mean the tech himself is a nice dude but holy fack if the dog didn’t flip him out. I am assuming he does not want the dog near him for religious reasons, which I am sensitive to, but if that is the case perhaps you should either rethink working in the service industry and/​or ask the owners to crate the dog prior to him entering your home (which I would have been more than happy to do… with my small poodle). Guy completely freaked out my kids with his reaction to the dog. Good riddance Top Digital, I wish nobody’s business harm but I will be taking mine elsewhere in the future.
Just to update: Two days have passed and my fridge is broken again.

Was given the name of this company by LG to service a portable air conditioner. Horrible customer service. When I finally got someone on the phone they asked me to email the details of the repair need to a yahoo email… no response… called them back several times and they told me to do the same thing. They finally scheduled an appointment and then failed to show. When they eventually showed up a week later they said that the AC unit was SUUPOSED to leak water, and they suggested I rig up some piping system. This is a very sketchy, unprofessional company. Avoid at all costs.

Top Digital is the most unprofessional, disrespectful, and unethical servicer I have ever dealt with.
I had the misfortune of buying an extended service plan from Electrolux which contracted the service on my microwave to Top Digital.
Electrolux set an appointment with me to have my over-​the-​range microwave serviced by Top Digital on June 18 between 12−5pm. Top Digital however was entirely unreachable at their office number to confirm (and their voicemail seemed terminally full). I nonetheless took the afternoon off from work and finally and finally heard from the tech that morning but neither he nor Top Digital were reachable as the day went on and we passed the 5:00pm service window. I ultimately called Electrolux who relayed that the tech was still en route, finally showing-​up well after 6:00pm with nary an apology.
This is when I wished I had read other reviews first and insisted upon another servicer since the tech stated like so many other times that a part would have to be ordered. For most servicers of premium appliances, qualified techs usually carry parts in their van. After all, they knew my model and symptoms in advance. At the very least, they are able to source parts from qualified distributors on relatively short notice.
Top Digital’s tech however did not have access to these parts and instead asked me, the customer, to follow-​up with his office the following day. AND of course, I did and as you might expect, got nowhere as nobody answered the phone or returned my messages.
On July 6, I finally reached a live person at Top Digital after TWO AND A HALF WEEKS OF RADIO SILENCE. The woman at Top Digital informed me that all parts are «backordered». She intimated that Electrolux was holding-​up this order but after I insisted on getting on the phone with Electrolux to push this along, she conceded that they were being ordered from one of her suppliers.
This does not bode well for me since in my mind, an Electrolux appliance should be serviced with genuine Electrolux parts that should be readily available for an Electrolux appliance, and between all the factors in my experience with Top Digital to date, it felt as if Top Digital thrived on cutting corners and was trying to procure substitute inferior goods. I nevertheless agreed to allow her to call me back with a firm date as to when the parts will be arriving.
AND of course Top Digital once again failed to follow-​up with me and I was once again unable to reach anyone there, including the technician who first evaluated my microwave, at his cell number.
After having exhausted all of my patience and good will, I reached back out to Electrolux who then attempted to facilitate one final call with Top Digital.
During my call with Electrolux, Top Digital hurriedly called me on my other phone and attempted to state that I agreed to call back to set a date. I pointed out that this was a COMPLETE fabrication; that there was no way I would have known when the part arrived; further noting that I had in fact called innumerable times and left many unreturned messages.
Top Digital then confirmed to Electrolux that the part would be arriving overnight and proposed an appointment for July 16 between 2−5pm (sound familiar?) — ONE MONTH AFTER THE INITIAL VISIT. I begrudgingly accepted as I would have had to start all over with another vendor at this point.
Now you might think that Electrolux is equally to blame here since they have more or less washed their hands of their servicer’s wholly inadequate service, but this is where they redeemed themselves — the Electrolux representative actually told me, in private, that Electrolux would separately FedEx me the part I needed so that Top Digital could not play games and say that the part did not arrive. If that doesn’t say something about Top Digital?!
So I scheduled to take time off once again on July 16 when that morning, Top Digital called to reschedule since the part did not arrive. I told her however that I must keep the appointment — because to her surprise, I already received a genuine replacement part from Electrolux (HA!) She agreed to keep the appointment, miraculously reconfirming again when I called back as the 5:00pm service window passed without a word from either her or their tech.
That was the last time I would ever be able to reach them on the 16^th since NOBODY ended-​up showing-​up. Not even Electrolux could reach Top Digital that evening.
It is utter disrespect to just NOT SHOW UP to an appointment. Almost 2 full days off of work and innumerable hours wasted on top of needless aggravation over the course of a month.
The cherry on top? Top Digital’s tech called me out of the blue today to tell me that he is here to fix my microwave. I informed him that I had already arranged service with another vendor since he was supposed to be here last Thursday, to which he rudely replied, «If you want to deal with another company, be my guest.»
What losers.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Wish I could give them 0 stars. They were suppose to one service my AC (was set up through Frigidaire). Sat in my house for 8 hours. When I called Frigidaire (another bunch of geniuses) hey told me that my unit was u serviceable and that Top Digital was suppose to call me and cancel. I called them to see why they didn’t and the woman on the phone was a complete POS. I asked why they didn’t call me and she kept saying I had to call Frigidaire. I just wanted to know why I was contacted and why my Saturday was wasted. She refused to give me answers and sounded annoyed that I was even calling. God forbid someone is angry after sitting inside for 9 hours. Top Digital? Yea ok… if by top they mean the top of dog feces.

Repairmen themselves are good. Trying to get them to show up with the parts is maddening. Their call center and ability to communicate and schedule is as if it were run by my 7 year old child. Unreturned phone calls, phone system down, parts «ordered» and then no follow up, appointments scheduled that I never asked for, appointments impossible to schedule, promises broken, etc.

I had the same problem with Top Digital Appliances. They were supposed to order a part for our refrigerator. We were told it would take ten days to order the part. When I did not hear from them in a timely matter, I called the warranty service. They said I would have to call Top Digital Appliances to check on the order. When I did call, I left a message, waited a week but never heard from the service. I called again, spoke to a Mr. Mohammed and gave him all the details, and again I never heard from this service. I decided to write to the warranty company regarding my problems with Top Digital Appliances, and I also enclosed the complaints from this site. I also sent a copy to Frigidaire and made it very clear that if I did not hear from the two entities within 7 days from the receipt of my letters, I would seek third party assistance. Two weeks later, I got a phone call from a sales rep on behalf of the warranty company/​Frigidaire. She said that she contacted Top Digital Appliances, spoke to the receptionist who said the part was not ordered, but to add insult to injury, she said the refrigerator was repaired. Nevertheless, the sales rep informed me that she sent the part to our home address and that she would call Top Digital Appliances to install the part. I made it very clear that I did not want to deal with that service because they were unprofessional and did not have the decency to return my two calls. To make a long story short, the sales rep found another service, Major Appliance Service to install the part. I must say, this company was professional in their dealings with us, and scheduled a date for the repairman to come and install the part. And everything went smoothly, and my refrigerator is working after waiting two months. Based on my experiences, I would highly recommend Major Appliance Service. As far as Top Digital Appliances is concerned, I would not recommend them if their tongues came notarized.

If I could give zero stars I would. Waiting almost a month for a part that I could’ve gotten from Amazon in two days. They told me 7 to 10 days then they said part didn’t come in and it would be three weeks. Promised they would be here yesterday, never showed. Promised they would be here tonight between six and eight, never showed. What good is paying for a warranty if no one will fix it. Do not use top digital appliances.

Horrible. I wish I had read the reviews before calling them. I needed a washer/​dryer repaired. They said they would send a technician to do a diagnosis and that would cost $ 145. The guy came, looked at the machine (which is new and came with the apartment) and declared that it was a pice of … made in China and that I should throw it away and replace it. Mind you, the manufacturer had given me the name of Top Digital Applicances as the official service people for their company! I pointed out that there was an error message in the display, and the technician opened the machine and declared it worked well. I said it did not, and he reluctantly said he could change a thermostat, but had to order it. Then, a month went by. Today, he was supposed to come in the afternoon. He called at 4:30 and said we would come between 7 and 8 pm. I called back and he said he would come before 9:00 pm. Of course he did not come and he is not answering the phone. These people should be forbidden from doing business.

Unreliable & unprofessional. My fridge company called them to come service my unit. It took over a week for someone to call me. I finally got a call from Mohammed. He called at 5:35pm and wanted to come at 8pm same evening. I agreed to it. I waited til @8:15pm-no show. So I called him, he said he couldn’t make it and rescheduled me for next day between 6−7pm. I called Mohammed @ 3:15pm to confirm, he said he’ll come between 6pm-​8pm. I called him at 8:30pm and he hung up on me.

The Unilocal community is spot on again. I almost NEVER give 1 star reviews, but Top Digital is in my mind the WORST service company I’ve dealt with. I’m in Week 2 of a broken A/​C and Top Digital has missed all 3 appointments. They rarely answer phone calls and will lie to you.
For those that need proof, here’s my experience thus far (aka my rant):
Appointment 1 — Top was a no show…
Scheduled Friday for an appointment the following Monday. I called them multiple times that evening and left a Voicemail but their offices were closed (at 6:30 PM). I didn’t receive a call back from Top until nearly 2:00 PM the following day. They claimed that their service agent called me, I didn’t answer my phone, so they decided not to come. I have no missed calls and no VM. The soonest they could reschedule was Thursday.
Appointment 2 — Top was a no show… AGAIN!
Going on almost a week now, I made sure that Top had both my cell phone number as well as my roommates. Once again Top was a no show and never called either number. Their excuse this time was that I didn’t answer my phone, and the repair person didn’t get the 2^nd number. I always answer my phone — once again no missed calls no VM. They asked to setup another appointment on Saturday.
Appointment 3 — Top says they’ll be there in 30 and calls 1.5 hours later.
I had an event Saturday evening and I told Top I simply cannot do anything after 5:00 PM. They promised to arrive between 3:00 — 4:00 so I was happy they were able to fit my schedule. When the clock struck 3:30 I was getting nervous and gave Top a call. They confirmed that a technician would be out at 4:00… then I waited… and waited… until 5:30 when I got a call saying the repairman was ready to come out. How can you be THAT bad at estimating? Surely, you were planning at least 15 minutes to get to my place so you’re estimates were off by 90 minutes? I called to complain but Top decided not to answer my call… nor did they decide to return my voicemail on Monday.
It’s Tuesday, the company has missed 3 appointments and I still have a broken AC with no appointment. The only redeeming thing is that God has provided us beautiful Fall weather in NYC. I knew Jesus was a better repairman than anything Top Digital had to offer, but I’ll be damned if this isn’t the service company from hell. 5 Stars for Jesus, 0 Stars for Top Digial.

I should have totally read these reviews before dealing with these people. I am in the same boat with a crap Frigidaire warranty who are affiliated with this company for all their repairs. STAY AWAY .my appointment was for 3−5pm it is now 615pm and the guy still isn’t here nor can they tell me when he will get here. UGHHHHHH I wish I had gone with someone else for my oven repairs since these people SUCK!

Avoid at all costs. Soonest appointment they would give me was over a week from my call. I was stuck with them because of warranty service and when the technician didn’t show, the office didn’t want to deal with it. They gave me his cell number to call directly and when I finally got him on the phone, he told me he was too busy to talk and hung up on me. He never showed.
and to top it off, they still billed the manufacturer, because I got a satisfaction survey card from frigidaire. I’ll probably never buy another frigidaire product again so I don’t have to be stuck with these clowns for warranty service.

I was given an appointment between 11:00 and 1:00 to have a refrigerator looked at. At 1:30 they still didn’t arrive, so I had them re– schedule, again for 11:00 to 1:00. At 1:45 the office called to tell me that they were running 1 hour behind. They will absolutely be there before 2:00. At 1:45, the tech called to say that they were on their way, but they didn’t arrive until 3:35. «Lots of traffic, my friend».
After 10 minutes of work, in which they unkinked a hose, I was given a bill for $ 104.46 When I made the appointment, I was told that it would be $ 75.00 for the service call.
I was ripped of in too many ways to say.
Use anybody else before using these guys.
Hell, buy a new appliance before you call these guys.

Do NOT use these people. I booked svc repair for broken drier & was told 2 – 4 pm. on a Sunday. At 4:05, «Mohammed» called and said he knew what problem was and they would put a rush on the piece. I called a week later, no piece. 2 weeks later, they booked appt. 1 – 4 on Thurs. & was told to call at 12:30 for closer time which I did. No one called back-​I called again at 1:15 & was told 3 – 4. At 4:20, I called & was given Mohammed’s ph.#. It seemed the woman did not want to speak with him-​now I see why not. I called-​He screamed at me-don’t tell me about your business, I don’t care about your business, I’ll be there in 1 hr. and hung up on me. I called them back & woman apologized saying he was apologizing-B.S.-at least she did the right thing. At 5:55, I see 2 guys walking in the street waving a paper so I go out and call his name. My dogs come out on to the porch with me, barking. My porch is BEHIND a locked, tall gate. He runs down the street, yelling back to his truck. The other guy stays in front of the fence in front of entrance to bsmt. I keep telling them to come in it is 5 ft down steps to bsmt & dogs can’t get to the bsmt. No one would listen to me. A woman calls me on phone-​a J… name-​East Indian name telling me to put my dogs in a bathroom and refused to listen to me when I kept telling her they cannot get to the bsmt, he just has to go down the stairs of that entrance and I will open up… she finally tells me that I can call someone else. These people do NOT care about anyone’s business… so what kind of business are they running-​clearly NOT an appliance or repair business-​it must be some kind of front for something else because they could not possibly make money with what they are (NOT) doing. They wasted 5+ hours of my time, I am billing them for that and I still have a broken drier. I called another repair svc. & the guy told me he would be there on Tues. after he was back from vacation on Mon-​that my drier would be fixed that day. Why did they waste my time and abuse me on top of it? Do NOT use them.
