Traditional Okinawan Karate

this is a great dojo that i’ve been studying at for about 3 years. i found it a bit difficult to adjust to at first as the energy there is often informal, however, with time i learned to see the flip-​side of it, which is that it is very much a community. the teachers and students are very friendly and each day there is the option to hang out and have some drinks with your fellow students following class.
i’ve also learned which teachers had a more intense style, and have opted to study with them so that i can get the most out of my learning. this has made studying at T.O.K. the best possible experience that i could make it.
i have learned a lot in a compassionate, friendly, and hard-​working environment and for that i’m very thankful.

I started to do karate at june 9 2012. I just went to go there, because my roommate recommend about it. I was really get stress from my work. so I didnt interest about it much. but I just want to get off my stress. and It really works! Im super love to do karate. and I’m from korea. so I m really not good at english. so I was really worried that i can do it. but instructors of this dojo are really thoughtful & frendly. I always can feel they really love to do karate. and They make me same feeling. when I was in korea, I never interested about martial arts. even just work out. but now I love it. also I really happy I can do self defense. Those skills are really helpful. and very interesting. but sparring is best for me. anyway now, people who i meet in dojo are my best friends. I really glad to meet those good people. Karate & karate people became The most big reason that I don’t want to go back korea
