This is by far the smallest store in the world. But I must say, the sandwiches are so good. They toast the bread and everything! And the prices are cheap. Totally worth it.

A fantastic little gem nestled into a neighborhood that time forgot. Anyone familiar with this part of town knows that it’s pretty much a dingy commercial wasteland with 1 closed down boarded up building after the next most have been repurposed into misc shady pseudo businesses or fronts owned by ultraorthodox and Hasidic Jews and/or Russian Israelis pretending to be so. Twin Towers is nealy impossible to spot unless you’re specifically looking for it. The offerings seem simple and the space is sparse and meager at best. But the food is simply phenomenal. The bagels are fresh and prepared with quick and friendly service. But the true treasures are the Tortas. Do yourself a favor, try the Tortas de pollo with everything and have them add some salsa Verde. There is fresh mozzarella or havari cheese, fresh avocado, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, cooked pinto beans, cilantro and of course a homemade breaded chicken cutlet on a very large size perfectly toasted tortas roll. Simply put, it’s one of the best sandwiches in the city imo and for $ 7.50?! Come on…

I really never had breakfast here but I always have lunch. Great authentic Mexican food including the tacos which are really good. I order lunch here every week at least twice a week.

In an area with not much going on(it’s kind of a dead-ish neighborhood with respect to restaurants), this place is a good breakfast/lunch joint. Their breakfast sandwiches are pretty standard, but delicious. The food comes out quickly and the people that work there are super nice. I haven’t had lunch here but I hear it’s delicious!

As others have noted, this little family run hole-in-the-wall restaurant is a gem that you have to know about because it is located on a stretch of McDonald Avenue next to the back of the Chase Bank parking lot that opens onto 18th Avenue. The place is tiny. They only have six seats, so most of their business is takeout. In the morning they serve decent bagels an coffee. They have a nice choice of cream cheeses and also offer eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, etc. Their lunch menu is a combination of American(chicken, turkey, ham, pastrami and tuna) sandwiches as well as Mexican tortas, tacos an other specials. I have only been here for bagels and coffee but I know that the place is popular with the local Spanish population so I surmise the lunches are quite good. In addition to the food, the people who work here are friendly and keep the place clean. Prices are very reasonable. So the next time you are coming down the the northeast stairs from the F train at 18th Avenue, hang a u-turn, walk 20 yards and try Twin Towers Bagel Express!

Bagels? Well, yeah, but if you get bagels you are missing out on the best Mexican lunch anywhere close to the 18th Ave F stop. Amazing tacos. Fresh cilantro, lime, avocado, homemade pickled jalepeno and onions, hot sauces, homemade green salsa. Radish on side. Even better is the daily lunch specials. Pot roast. Pork chops. Baked chicken. Spicy chicken. Served with rice and beans. This place is such a step up from every place around here. Thank you Twin Tower Bagels for making amazing mexican lunches. Oh yeah, the bagels are ok.

My company is a block away on McDonald avenue and almost every morning we place a large breakfast order here. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Their coffee is consistently tasty, bagels are fresh, and their different varieties of cream cheese are delicious! I recommend you try the fruit and nut cream cheese on a whole wheat bagel. They aren’t just limited to bagels, either. They have awesome lunch specials. For $ 6, pick up a plate of baked chicken, rice & beans which comes with tortilla and either hot sauce or green sauce. Be careful, because their green sauce is highly addictive!

great little hole in the wall place, with the nicest staff. i have to say it’s the best place for lunch around here, they have daily specials, be sure and ask about those, their beans & rice for lunch = amazing. fresh bagels in the mornings with home made cream cheese(be sure and have their nuts&raisin cream cheese, yumm!), coffee is fresh daily and tastes ok– if you’re in the area, definitely should try!
