Awesome antique store in the lovely hood of Park Slope. Found a rotary phone in the perfect color here for only $ 25 while some stores now carry new ones for close to $ 100 (vintage beats new anyday!).
They also had a vintage gumball machine I would’ve LOVED to buy, but couldn’t travel back home with it. Had vintage wooden children’s blocks, too.

This place has a lot of collectibles. From wall displays, frames, cookie jars and even the prizes from cereal. They have it here. I do tend to look at all the good keychains from the 90’s. I’ve bought a couple to remind myself that there’s a kid in everyone and that I miss Frosted Flakes and eating Cereal for Dinner. Some of the items there are one of a kind so do keep your eye open for something good.

The few times I’ve stopped into Under the Pig, I’ve been happily impressed with the pleasant service and the amount of fun, affordable housewares & knick-​knacks: from kitschy glassware to old cameras to small paintings. Obviously there’s more to it than that, but I think it deserves a look see, don’t you?

A little room on a quiet block of Park Slope, Under the Pig is distinguished by the treasures sitting outside. The eclectic antiques inside seem mostly comprised of early and mid-​20th Century items, though my judgement is hardly that of an appraiser’s. The paintings and ceramic heads (yes, seriously) stood out the most to me, and I went home with a small head of a flapper that now sits in my living room.
