Upper 90

This place has a decent selection of Nike and Adidas cleats, but a woeful selection of other merchandise. I was surprised by how little apparel they carried — I expected to be able to pick up most of what I needed, like socks, warm up pants, etc. but they really didn’t have a lot.
The thing that really turned me off though was the customer service. It took me about 15 minutes just to get someone to show me cleats, and it was almost as if I was being actively ignored. When I finally got someone to bring a few pairs out, the guy dumped them next to me and headed off. The kicker was that I asked a question about the cleats I was trying on, and the guy asked me if I was planning on just wearing them to walk around as street shoes or if I actually played. Given that I had just come from a game and was wearing soccer socks, shorts, etc. it was a fairly ridiculous question. Not a good experience as a female soccer player.
Disappointed overall and probably going to go back to ordering online.

I needed Gerrard Liverpool uniform. Couldn’t find anywhere, very nice guy helped me here so much. My brother will be happiest Liverpool fan :)))

I bought 3 jersey from this store on line. When I went to pick up the order, the girls with the glasses are rude and arrogant. She didn’t said check the jersey you have order and make such everything is right. All she said is sign the paper. She kept saying over and over again. Come on lady, I just spent over $ 300 from your store. Can you be litter nice to yours costumer. I may be go back to this store again.

I’ve bought a lot of merchandise from Upper 90 over the last few years and could not be more pleased with the customer service I’ve received. I’ve even been able to rely on the U90 crew to help me make some wildly customized kits a reality.
They’re patient, attentive, professional and courteous. U90 is going to have my business for a long time.

Understand I did not buy anything and this was all of 5 minutes.
Me: Hey excuse me, find you guys on Unilocal see you have a check in alert-​but my phone is dying can you help me out?
Guy: Ugh not sure how Unilocal works let me ask «nicole» (name maybe wrong)

Me: Yeah I know that you check in get the 10% but my phone is so dead it dimmed out and the app won’t work well since it drains mt battery.

I’ve used many a check ins… it doesn’t give a code for the register. So now I feel lied to and being pressed for time I ended up going to Modell’s where I had a longer cash spending experience.

Not a whole variety of selection. Only the usual top 4 – 5 finishers in the major European football leagues; same with the national teams — only the countries where football is their religion. AND IT’S PRICEY. Boy, is it pricey; even the sale items. AND, the staffers are rude, arrogant, and presumptuous. They act like the they are the egotistical multimillionaire football player that was just signed by a team owned by an oil sheikh. Its online store have better and affordable selection, shop there instead and make sure to have it shipped to you and not be picked-​up here (can’t say about its other branches), or any shop at other online soccer shop instead.

Excellent place. These people worked to make a soccer-​specific store in NY. Excellent store with excellent variety of items.
My suggestions is for their purchasing department to buy more end-​of-​season items from Overseas and sell it. It will be great that way. I personally do not care about current kits as much as getting a good deal.

Decided to get some jerseys printed. Brought in five jerseys [2 Real Madrid and 3 Man. Utd] with their respective namesets. It was really busy though since I got there around 1pm but thankfully Sam told me to leave my jerseys and he would contact me to pick them up. This is a great way to take care of customers. Can’t wait to pick them up!

I guess the girl at the register was too busy on the phone to notice me standing in front of her with money in my hands.
The guy fixing displays finally realised she wasn’t gonna do anything so he came over.
Place had limited stock and every time I go in the place looks like it has been ransacked.
Online with anywhere else is the way to go, I don’t understand all the fuss about this place

I created a Unilocal account, specifically to review this place. I had a problem with my order online, it said there was some problem with my credit card. When i called the store to find out a way to fix the issue, the manager was rude, thought i was trying to sell him something and quickly hung up. The second time I called they didn’t even answer. I will not be shopping here again

This is an awesome store. I came for a coworkers child’s birthday party and fell in love. I ended up getting some soccer gear for my niece. The selection is fantastic. They offer everything you could possibly want and the customer service is top notch.
The staff is incredibly knowledgeable about all things soccer. You don’t get this depth of information from the big sports stores that sell a little of everything.
Since city kids don’t always have indoor space to run around, seeing the birthday party set up was so much fun! I can’t believe how nice the fake grass was. I’d love to just have a picnic there!

What a learning experience! Never knew NY had a soccer team. Imagine my surprise when I walked into this store and saw a mural dedicated to the Red Bulls.
«The who?» I asked. Someone answered, «NY’s soccer team.» I’m not an athlete and obviously not a soccer fan but I like the sport although the last time I played was in junior high school. The space and merchandise was pretty nice. There’s even a mini-​field right in the center of the store. Now that’s pretty cool! I know a few folks who would fall in love with this store so I totally shared this info with them. Guess I’ll be back in Prospect Park this summer rooting for them during game time. The location is easy to reach via public transportation since it’s near the Atlantic Terminal and Prospect Park is a few train stops away.

Came here the other day for something unrelated to shopping for soccer (or sports in general) gear — but was still super impressed at the selection of well made soccer balls — for both recreational and competitive use, jerseys for all teams — Latin American, European, American — you name it! Plus all the other stuff a soccer lover would want or need like caps, socks, shin guards… water, Gatorade… you get it, lol.
The back of the store has a really neat pseudo-​soccer field that’s (obviously) miniature-​ized and contains a great covering of faux grass, small goals and enough space to try out the traction on new cleats or how dribbling/​passing a soccer ball might feel within a real situation.
I bet the staff here is also super helpful and they probably know all there is to know about all things futbol! This store does get SUPER hot, don’t know if it’s a flaw in their overall ventilation system — or if it was just something occurring on the particular day I was there… but just bear that in mind.
Should I ever need anything soccer related or a gift for a special soccer lover in my life (which there isn’t one, other than moi — lol) then I’ll definitely head to this one-​stop-​shop soccer mecca!

A larger version of its sister store on the UWS, this place has a lot of great products. A mini soccer field takes up a sizable portion of the store. You can try on your cleat and run around for a bit to see how they feel. They have tons of equipment, from shin guards to goalie gloves. Of course, they have a considerable selection of club and national team jerseys. If you’re a fan of the major teams from England, you’re likely to find you teams’ kits. The other leagues don’t get as much love (let’s face it, there aren’t tons of people here in the States dying to get a Villareal or Napoli jerseys; heck, you won’t find too many Dortmund fans and they won the Bundesliga last year!) but you can get your Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and AC Milan jerseys.
Easily accessible by the subway, make this your stop for all things football.

I’ve been here twice.
True soccer fans, truly great service. This is the kind of retailer Target will never be: experts who care and use their niche product offering and will talk you put of buying overpriced products you don’t need.
However, for high performance gear at rates that rival Target (these guys will give you quality, not flashy brands… of you ask) shop here. Shop local.
And this is from a guy who routinely uses ecommerce in lieu of Rite Aid for most products, and is happy to do so.

I had mostly a positive experience here — I’ll get to what knocked it down a star in a second.
First, the location is convenient and the selection is pretty good. Sadly, the floor space is limited somewhat by the mini soccer field on the premises, so they only have room to stock the shirts of the biggest teams (then again, they might have more room if they took all the Manchester United. Manchester City, Barcelona, Chelsea and Spanish national side shirts, put them in a nice big pile, and then set the bloody thing on fire — just a suggestion, gents). That said, their prices are good and they’re in the middle of an awesome sale right now, so more power to them for that.
For a soccer geek like me, it’d have been nice to see some more semi-​obscure stuff in there. I’m absolutely the kind of guy who if they had, say, a jersey of the Azerbaijani national team, I probably would have bought it just for novelty value alone.
The main reason I have for dinging them a star is the fact that, despite the advertising all over the place and the fact that they were in the middle of a sale, the letters and numbers for personalizing the shirt were not available. Poor form, lads… poor form. Sure, they could have had it by Monday. But, Arsenal take the field at 7:30 AM tomorrow — the whole point was I wanted a new shirt to wear down the pub. I got the shirt anyway, but it’s a shame I can’t represent for Laurent Koscielny while I have my early-​morning beers tomorrow.

This is a soccer store with a mini soccer field right in the middle! I went there for a kids’ birthday party so that’s what this review focuses on.
Pretty great place to have a kids party. The staff took care of running the whole thing. They ran games /​drills for the kids on the field. They ordered the pizza, which the kids devoured at tables set up right outside the field. And, yes, they did all of the cleanup.
There was nothing for us grownups left to do but sit around at the tables or peer over the wall into the arena, er uh, soccer field. I do wish they had some seating option where those lazy and tired grownups could see the field without having to stand. Hello, maybe some bleachers — ooooooh!
My favorite part of the party was at the end when they brought out a soccer ball piñata. Instead of stringing it up and swinging at it, the kids just got to kick it. A much better option for these guys — they were all around 3 – 5 years old. None of them could plant one strong enough to crack it. So the girl employee had to take over. Took her 3 or 4 tries as well! Too bad they didn’t let the moms and dads have a go!
Must mention they were extremely nice to me here. They have a Unilocal check in offer for 10 percent off and an extra deal going now for 5 percent more on top of that. A total of 15 percent off. Of course I didn’t see that until after I had made two purchases. Luckily they were nice enough to refund me the savings!

Upper 90 is everything you could ever want in a soccer store. They’ve got balls. Big balls. And little balls. And cleats, and turf shoes, and shorts and shirts and jerseys and shin guards and a medical corner and anything and everything girls, boys, men or women might need to play soccer.
The staff is awesome. I asked their opinion of a couple of soccer balls, and the manager actually recommended the cheaper one (you know he’s not steering you wrong there). They really do know their product, too; my girlfriend needed a pair of turf shoes, and the guy at the register was all, «I’ve got a pair of those. They’re reliable.» I don’t know about you, but I believe him. So we got those.
But wait! There’s more!
They have a little mini-​turf field IN THE STORE. This means that not only can you sort through the selection of cleats to find a pair you like, but you can also kick around a ball to see how they actually feel.
And even better, they also host kids’ birthday parties! When we walked in, there was a table set up for 20 six-​year-​olds who were about to have the best time of their life playing indoor soccer. I wanted to stick around, but my girlfriend quickly reminded me that there’s nothing creepier than a grown man hanging out at a children’s birthday party, when none of the kids are his.

Let me just say that I know nothing more of soccer besides the fact that it is a fun game played between two teams of eleven players each. I went into Upper 90 to look for a Christmas present for a soccer fanatic, nervous that I might be judged for my lack of knowledge on the history of soccer, and any of its clubs or players. I visited the new Brooklyn location (two blocks from the subway… easily accessible) during their soft opening. Although the staff was busy setting up the new store, they were still attentive and very friendly. They answered every question I had and gave no high-​brow to any of my inquiries.
I went back a second time to purchase more merchandise, and this subsequent time, everything was officially up and running. In general, Upper 90’s inventory is well-​organized and of a great variety. There is an indoor soccer field inside this huge space as well. (I believe they are offering soccer classes at a premium… great for kids). The staff is very passionate about this sport and it is, for sure, contagious. I was compelled to stay a little and watch the soccer games playing on the huge TV in the store. Overall, I would visit this location again for any soccer needs. You will definitely leave feeling satisfied.
