It’s a shame that they got rid of their original menu. Now, they only have hot dogs with chili and Fritos chip pieces. Sounds good, but not something I would want for brunch. And the size of the hot dog was so tiny, I was able to scarf it down in seconds. I came here thinking that they still had the nachos and the cuban sandwiches. Such a let down. But the staff and other patrons were great and laid back.

I’d not been before but got invited after going to an event for my film company. Apparently, this was the initial venue for the film company’s event. It’s a restaurant, bar, theater and cool video rental place all in one. Located right smack in Williamsburg, it’s a must for anyone involved in the independent film scene to go here sometime. The DVD rental collection is amazing, the film I saw there was good and there weren’t many people there so we had even more personal attention than might normally take place. Good date night spot as well; you’re welcome.

Not cool. I accidentally spilled my drink and cleaned it up myself. I asked for another one and he charged me for it. Didn’t even have the decency to not charge me since the other one was full. I used to come here a lot. Last time ever!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this space. No events were happening the night we went, but sitting at the bar sipping cocktails was good enough for me. The house cocktails I tried were alright for me, but next time I go I’d like to just order classic drinks. Would love to come back for a movie night and some snacks. Really enjoyed the décor of this place, the clean bathrooms, and the accommodating(though maybe slightly spacey) staff. I had a nice time here.

Love this place. Have been here a few times, mostly for their back room activities(movie screenings, Twin Peaks bingo). Excellent drinks, okay nachos, and guaranteed fun times. Good for hanging with friends or a cute date night.

wes aderson bingo. this is the reason i ventured to videology. my friends told me about it and i was sold. i called bingo once but it was a false alarm. apparently i dont know how to play bingo but thats ok. i lost interest on the game and concentrated on the royal tenenbaums and the delicious wings and fries i got and a milky stout.

Don’t ever, ever, ever go see a movie with subtitles here – the projection aims too low and the space is so small that the subtitles are projected on the back of the first rows head and are impossible to read. I was very excited about seeing a certain film that was playing here and had to leave after 20 minutes – what a joke.

Went there as a RSVP to a screening but these fools either over RSVP’d or just let a bunch of hipsters in before the RSVPs and a lot of RSVPers didn’t get to see the screening. Instead we got to stand around shoulder to shoulder until these retards figured out what to do. These guys couldn’t organise a root in a brothel. Who do I see about refunding my metro card?

This is a really cool spot — pretty Brooklyn haha. I came with a friend for Dirty Dancing trivia night and it was packed! More than 20 teams and people really knew their stuff(I suspect people had read up beforehand or googled during the trivia bc they knew a ridiculous amount of obscure things. I consider myself a super super fan of the movie and still didn’t know some of these answers). Anyway, good drink selection, lots of cocktails, cool beers and some wine, decent food selection as far as bar food goes(nachos, tacos, soft pretzels, popcorn, etc). Definitely affordable food and drinks, overall a really fun experience. Would definitely recommend for a quirky night out with friends or a date.

Strong happy hour here. Got the beer + nachos for $ 8. So delicious. Rocky II was playing on the projector screen in the background. Very chill service. Free water. Good ambiance. What else can you ask for?

Been going to this place for their rick and morty parties. despite thinking their mixed drinks are average, their beer prices are on point and their bartenders, despite being overworked, are very attentive and friendly. Great place for groups

I think Videology is a pretty dope place. I went there for a screening a friend had for his short movie premier. The dining area was pretty small but the screening area was a great size. The ambience was so peaceful and the staff were great. I can’t stress how beautiful the ambience was. They serve great food and my favorite was the guacamole with tortilla chips. It was very tasty and I highly recommend.

I really like Videology Bar & Cinema because it is such a unique bar that one could agree, this could only could exist in New York. The bar is twofold — party in the front, where movies continuously stream and libations are plenty; and a movie screening room in the back with table service, movie screenings, talks and performances. This is an awesome space with a great calendar of events. I have come to this bar for talks, soccer games and a Back to the Future reading. I have also been here when Dr. Spock died and this place celebrated his death just the way Dr. Spock would have wanted it to be celebrated. If I lived in the neighborhood I would also take advantage of their DVD rental services. DVDs aplenty that line the screening room can all be rented at a nominal fee. This business is as Ruggy puts it «one of the coolest businesses in all of New York City» and definitely a way to watch your favorite movies and shows with other movie and TV aficionados.

Was visiting my sister in Williamsburg last week and we came here for X-Files trivia. It was very hard, even for fans like us, but also really fun. We had a great time. I wanted to stay for the season première showing of The Walking Dead but nobody else in my party was interested in staying. During trivia we had several drinks from the drink menu(can’t recall the names of the drinks) that were great and nachos from the snack menu which were also good — small portion for $ 11 however.

Loved this place! I only came here for drinks, I didn’t take part in any screenings or trivia, as was visiting to scope it out and look to return later. The bar is nice, with bare brick walls, a projector screen and there are DVDs around the bar on the walk. Beyond the curtain is the DVD rental booth(with decent prices) and the screening room. They have a leaflet with a calendar for the month ahead. I can’t wait to go back and take part in one of their quiz nights!

My husband and I went here last night for Arrested Development Bingo. My husband was not keen on going to a «hipster bar», but I really wanted to do AD bingo, so we went. As soon as we started looking through the menu, he eased into the feel of the place-their drink«Somewhere around Barstow» especially caught his eye as both a drinker and a fan of Hunter Thompson. The bingo was super fun, although it was frustrating not to win. Winners got either a frozen banana or drink. We are planning to go back on Sunday for 30 Rock trivia, and plan to destroy everyone else. The back room gets full quickly, so get there early. Also, drink service in the back can take time with so many people, so if you’re jones ing, hit up the bar up front first. All in all, awesome atmosphere, good people, great drinks, but a little pricey. We live 3 miles away, and this may still have become our new go-to bar!

I don’t always go to New York often but when I do, a flash flood warning happens and I find myself at a random bar. Since the rain showed no mercy for my friend and I, we grabbed a few drinks and watched Star Trek at the bar. Every night, they have some sort of activity, such as bingo or trivia night, going on at the bar. We were there for a screen of women and online dating at around 7 p.m. Though our stay was fairly short here, I hope to visit this place soon again! Hopefully in weather that’s more kind… heh.

I’ve only ever come here for the shows that take place in the back room(last weekend we saw comedians live dub sabrina the teenage witch and i love lucy for $ 5 admission. The time before that we were there for some comedy show where skits being played on the screen(sadly, it wasn’t very funny — as with most comedy shows, so…) As for the food, my bf got the nachos and said it was just ok(food is a bit pricey). Next door is property dumplings so if you don’t want to save some coin get a bite to eat there before going into videology. I always see promos for free movie screenings but I have yet to go to to one of them. Anyway, every time I’ve been there it’s been pretty crowded so it seems like the happening place to be for locals.

Went here last night for Twin speaks BINGO and really enjoyed it! Three of my favorite things are competition, alcohol, and Twin Peaks, and this evening managed to encapsulate all 3. I love the concept and the only recommendation that I can think of would be that the cocktail menu could use a little work.

Man, did I have a fun time here! Videology is a combination bar/DVD rental store/small theater. I discovered Videology while on the hunt for a way to watch the Better Call Saul première(because who has cable these days, amirite?). I read in the Skint that they would be showing the première in their screening room.(Side note: if you don’t know the Skint, check it out! It’s a daily newsletter with free and cheap events in NY). Videology has lots of screenings like this, both of tv shows and movies, and many of them are free! Some even have special food and/or drink specials. Finally, there are some other fun events like trivia and bingo. All of them are listed on the calendar on their website. The atmosphere was really, really fun. They also were screening the Walking Dead première, and I had a blast watching it despite having never seen it just because everyone else was so involved. I love being able to turn watching TV– which is often solitary– into a communal experience. It got totally full, but everyone was friendly and willing to sit next to strangers, which I liked. Service was a little slow, but I didn’t mind. It does get crowded, so if you’re going to a special event arrive early!

I ended up going to this bar through a date with my husband and it was amazing! It’s a small bar that is for film and t.v. lovers. My husband and I went to the back of the room to take a class on Claymation while sipping on their delicious beers. It’s a small bar with a big classroom space in the back. But if you like Trivia games and catching up on your favorite shows and movies then this is the place for you. They also offer other film workshops and information on the world of entertainment.

Happy to have a place to go for our TwD fix. Gets packed by 8:30pm for a 9pm show. Good cocktail list — classic and ‘classic deviation’. Honestly I hate it when people take a classic cocktail, change an ingredient or two and call it your own. It’s a Singapore Sling — not Somewhere around your Barstool. Ha ha. Nachos are mehh, don’t get that frozen banana thing — popcorn are fool proof. And classic cocktails :)

I have been here a couple of times for story telling shows that were surrounded by movie clips. Great screening room in the back. I love this place. the ambiance, lighting, and vibe are fantastic. There is a bar in the front, and they have a server that will take your drink orders in the back room. They take cards, but next time I go to the back room I will probably bring cash as the server is never around at the end of the show so last time I forgot my card and had to come back. Luckily, I hadn’t made it very far. They have a quirky drink menu, and I have had some great cocktails here. They do serve food here too which I have yet to try.
