For delivery we ordered sweet and sour chicken and received a carton full of deep fried chicken bits without one single drop of sauce or anything else — like some super ghetto Chicken Nuggets without sauce. Also ordered cold sesame noodles, which were neither cold nor made with sesame — they had so much cheap peanut butter that the noodles were completely stuck together(not like a creamy sauce). And the flavor was 100% peanut butter, zero sesame. The egg roll tasted … slightly off. Wasn’t sure what was wrong with it but didn’t want to let my imagination wander. The hot and sour soup had such a rank smell that, considering how bad everything else was, I decided not to even try a spoonful, and just threw it all out. It took 45 minutes to deliver, which was average to below average, considering that we’re 6 blocks away. On the plus side, the fried tofu with broccoli was fine and, luckily, a large portion(since it was the only thing the two of us could eat). And the carton of brown rice was well cooked. But even the little packets of soy sauce and duck sauce tasted cheap, like some even-cheaper-than-average-takeout-joint version of duck sauce packets. And to top it off even the fortune cookies sucked(not giving an actual fortune on a single one of the five we opened, just dumb cliches like«education is 90% encouragement» — apparently some bad advice their chef took at culinary school). Never ordering from here again(unless maybe I am in desperate need of a side order of plain brown rice for something I’m making at home).

Their food is super cheap and super yummy, I never have to wait long for them to prepare the food. It is a great place to come if you are looking to fill your stomach without breaking the bank. I have tried multiple items from their menu and can recommend them all.

My office just had lunch delivered, first time. We had the shrimp lomein, boneless spare ribs, egg roll and Singapore noodle. Everyone was very satisfied with the freshness and taste there food. The delivery time was great. I think we have found a new regular place.

This is great, no bs, Chinese food. It’s nothing fancy or gourmet. That’s what I like about it. Super cheap and great delivery. The general tsos chicken is awesome. I always get extra spicy and it hits the spot. Not a big fan of their egg rolls, but I’ll survive that.

I recommend Wah Kwoon if you are looking for take-out Chinese in a pinch. It’s reliable, affordable and delivery is prompt. I usually order Sweet and Sour Chicken with an egg roll on the side, so I can’t speak for anything else on the menu. Of all the times I’ve ordered there, I have been to their location once(about 5 months ago). It looked clean.

Amazing Chinese food in the neighborhood run by the nicest family. We have had the dumplings, crab Rangoon, General tso’s chicken, beef with broccoli, chicken with mixed vegetables, Hunan chicken, and wonton soup. Everything is flavorful and delicious. I also really like their brown rice, which you can sub for free.

My favorite Chinese takeout in Greenpoint. Good Szechuan shrimp, lo mein, fried rice and sesame chicken. Quick and reliable delivery, dirt cheap, and the lady on the phone remembers my apartment number so I don’t even need to give her my full address.

I live a little bit of a ways from Wah Kwoon, but they are always willing to deliver. I generally only order from them when I’m in the mood for their fried wontons which are much lighter than what you’d typically expect from chinese delivery. They also send a special sauce that is not dyed bright red, and actually has some fruit flavor. I’ve had EXCELLENT General Tso’s, but also pretty average General Tso’s. Not very consistent. Delivery could be slightly faster. Fried rice is a big disappointment. Order the Wontons!

Great local Chinese take out. If you live within a 10-block radius, what more could you ask for? Inexpensive, tasty, fast. And the staff is super nice, so make sure to stuff a few dollars in the teddybear tip jar.

Was looking for an alternative to Shanghai Lee because I was fed up with the minimum & having to wait up to 2 hours for my food. While I live much closer to Wah Kwoon and that makes sense for the shorter delivery time, the food is on par if not better than Shanghai Lee. AND it’s cheaper. I’ll deal with the phone to order delivery once again.

I decided to come here after reading the positive reviews today. Sorry folks, it wasn’t worth going. I ordered beef with string beans and tofu with broccoli. Both dishes were super saucy-with a ton of corn starch to make it coagulate and ruin the appearance. As for the taste, I caught a glimpse of my future when I’m old and have lost 90% of my taste buds. That’s how it tasted-pretty bland and unappetizing. I kept giving it a second and third chance with each bite, but each bite became even more unsatisfying. Maybe the chef was a stand-in today. That happens. Maybe I ordered their worst dishes. Maybe it was an off-day. But whatever it is, it wasn’t good today. This review is not all negative. It’s cheap and edible. The place is really clean – it even has a B rating. This rating is pretty good for Chinese fast food joint. I’m sad now. Know of another Chinese place to try?

I think Wah Kwoon has the best chinese food in Greenpoint, from what I’ve tried. As a vegan I try the same vegetarian options everywhere and their tofu with broccoli is up to par. They offer it with steamed or fried tofu. The best part though is the small sizes that they offer. It’s about $ 5 for the dish that I get and can feed me for two meals if I’m not being a piggy. Other neighborhood joints don’t seem to offer the two sizes for every dish. Veggie low mein is pretty standard, but I usually get it and enjoy it. The staff is nice and they know what I want when I walk in. Kind of embarassing but I’ll take it!

Wah Kwoon is dirt cheap, provides speedy and free delivery, and is a guarantee of cheap, satisfying food. If you’re bulking, Wah Kwoon is the place for you.

I decided to try this place the other day because of all the good reviews I saw here on Unilocal.(I’ve also been seeking the Best Chinese Restaurant in N. Brooklyn). Boyfriend and I ordered pork chow fun, chicken lo mein and general tso’s chicken for a late lunch. While Wah Kwoon was definitely fast, the food was only a «meh» compared Shanghai Lee. Boyfriend couldn’t eat the chicken lo mein because it smelled like feet. We’re hoping that I can«fix it» tomorrow. The pork chow fun’s noodles were juicy, but the meat was way too dry. I had to had a lot of soy sauce to kick up the flavor. Only the general tso’s chicken was good – but you can pretty much count on that anywhere, right? Don’t think I’ll try this place again. I continue my search for the Best Chinese Restaurant in N. Brooklyn.

Ordered from here for the first time this evening for dinner. I ordered the Orange Chicken and fried dumplings, both were absolutely delicious! I got it for delivery and they came right away and the food was piping hot. The sticky rice was cooked perfectly to eat nice big clumps with chopsticks to boot! Dumpling dipping sauce was great, overall flavor and crunch to orange chicken was spot on. Will order from here again! Great recommendation from other Unilocalers!

This place is one of two go-to chinese restaurants in Greenpoint(the other being Chinese Musician because, in my opinion, they have better cold sesame noodles). Wah Kwoon has great hot & sour soup and I always get been curd & broccoli in white sauce. Always. I’ve only tried maybe a couple other things(lo mein and mixed vegetable something or other) but I have a serious addiction to bean curd & broccoli. It’s always delicious. The main cashier knows me so when I call or walk in she recites my order. One time she told me she didn’t like my haircut and that I didn’t look like a girl anymore so then I boycotted for a fews weeks… but came crawling back. very cheap, very fast. and now i’m hungry.

Nothing but good things from this place. I’m convinced they make the best beef and broccoli in all of New York. Seriously. They have great prices, large portions, and friendly staff. Good stuff and highly recommended!
