WANGS. There is only one item on the menu and it’s Korean wangs with hot sauce. They might be the best thing. Not at Wangs, in general. All time. WANGS. They won’t deliver to my house so I either lie about my address and ambush the guy on the closest-​they-​will-​deliver-​street or actually pay another service to bring me my WANGS. WANGS.
If they have a menu or other things available don’t be stupid. All you need is WANGS.

First, I must commend management on their response to a previous posting about a changing map and delivery. As a professional communicator, i very much appreciate management’s review of customer comments. Second, given the explanation, i will need to hope for ‘endless winter’ if that guarantees me a serving of Wang’s most excellent fried chicken. Tonight, I ordered an order of half chicken and sides. Exquisitely fried, juicy and spicy. Perfect. The service delivery was lightning fast. I am hopeful that a few more customers on this side of the Flatbush tracks will draw your delivery just one more block as I can attest that the quality of your offering is second to none. Perhaps a Prospect Heights location? Many thanks and bravo.

The food is good but not great the chicken is definitely meaty and big pieces. But it wasn’t flavored well which was sort of upsetting cause of all the good reviews. The collard greens were the only highlight of the meal.

Who doesn’t like fried chicken? ?? They have nice big juicy, non-​greasy fried wings. And well seasoned.

I had been saving Wangs for a date night for some time now and it did not disappoint! Conveniently located near Brooklyn Boulders if you like rock climbing and are looking for a complete date night package, we strolled over here to replace some of those calories just burned on the wall :).
First thing to note, is that there is no indoor seating. On a nice evening, they have some picnic tables set outside, but if it’s too cold outside, this is a delivery and take-​away option only. Their menu is limited, but what they do, they do well… exceedingly well! My boyfriend loves his wings and said that these were some of the best that he had ever had! A spicy sauce and super crispy skin… I had the chicken sandwich which was also excellent.
A curious fusion of southern and asian foods, their sauces, their sides and of course their chicken was mouthwateringly good. A bit pricier than your average chicken wing joint, but again, they are unique and absolutely delicious so I will definitely be recommending Wangs to friends!

Stopped by for a quick lunch while in the city after hearing good things. Ordered the 3 wing meal with the Mac n cheese. Wings were large and the sauce amazing. Came with a salad, fresh and crisp, dressing great as well. Mac n cheese was nice and rich. Had the peach sweet tea which was a nice finish. Left full & satisfied, definitely worth the trip and would recommend!

I went only to try their sides.
Must try Grits! Made with coconut milk and scallion butter! Amazing! Super creamy n smooth!

Small shop with a table outside. Very simple.
No where else that I know of where you can get a fried chicken banh mi. The portion was huge but that comes with the price. Nonetheless, probably the best fried chicken sandwich I’ve had in NY. It’s also not on a baguette (it’s on a sesame hoagie-​esque roll) and the daikon was a bit too heavy (it leaked through the bread) but still very solid. Could probably be a portion for two people.
My girlfriend also says it’s her favorite Asian chicken wing in the city. It has a Thai-​Vietnamese kind of flavor to it — definitely a SE Asian, sweet, slightly tangy, kind of taste. Owner and workers were very friendly. Looks like it’s the perfect spot to eat outside on a sunny day!

Korean fried chicken wings… Say no more, I want it!
These are not the typical small wings or drumsticks that you would get at other restaurants. These are decently sized whole wings, well marinated and topped with fresh scallions. Usually 2 – 3 chicken wings (accompanied with a beer) hit the spot for a great snack! Careful about ordering hot, hot is very spicy!

They make some pretty good fried wings. They’re typically a large sized wing and fried with a glaze that was salty versus being spicy. It’s got good crunch and everything was cooked evenly. The sauce or chicken really made my mouth dry, drier than normal fried chicken would. I think I drank a full liter (or maybe 2 liters) of water just eating 6 wings. It didn’t taste bad but it is too salty overall.
What’s bad about this place is the lack of eating space. They have one picnic table and benches than line the sidewalk (which begs the question if its considered public or private space). It would be nice not to rush anywhere to eat the wings after purchase. Not exactly a winter friendly place to stay and eat at.

I have ordered from wangs several times now, and I can honestly say, these are the best chicken wings I have ever had, I don’t know how they get them so crispy, the texture is amazing, they come in spicy or mild, I always order spicy, and think the wings certainly could be hotter, but the flavor is amazing, sweet, (I think they use honey), and tangy, I am a fan of their wings,
that being said, I nearly gave them 3 stars, I have been disappointed with everything else I ordered. I work near them, and wanted to try other things, they are polite on the phone, deliver promptly, but they are basically a hole in the wall place that charges restaurant prices. a friend and I ordered a half a chicken, sure brine marinated, crispy, but no real flavor to make it stand out, they seem to rely heavily on aioli dipping sauces, but not everyone like mayo.
last order I wanted to try the Banh Mi sandwich, I have had Vietnamese sandwiches in the past, and loved them, again, a nice piece of breaded chicken, but covered in a vast amount of pickled shredded veggies, and swimming in Aioli, definitely not worth the 12 bucks.
I may try the corn bred next time, it seems to score well here, and I will certainly be ordering more wings. but stay away from everything else.

I feel like when you specialize in ONE item you should have mastered that one item, and I wasn’t thrilled with the chicken at all, something about it didn’t overwhelm me, it needed something else, i just can’t put my finger on it. The macaroni & cheese was good, so was the potato salad. But I was disappointed with the chicken, sad but I’ve had better seasoned chicken at those ghetto chicken spots…

This place is pretty dang good. Initially it seems overpriced because it looks like you’re getting very few wings for the money, but you’re actually getting an entire chicken wing (limb) — see pics.
I eat a ton but getting the 9 piece was a greedy mistake. For one person, you could get away with the 3 piece, maybe 6 if you’re feeling gluttonous.
I would NOT recommend the fried chicken. That was what I initially got and I was about to ax Wangs on Unilocal,but I went back and gave the wings a try. and they’re legit.
For sides, the cornbread was good. Potato salad eh. I wasn’t a fan of the mac and cheese (although my friend liked it). It’s mac and sprinkles, not much cheese.

Before heading back on the N train, I saw this spot’s sign. I’ve tried a good number of Korean-​fried chicken around the K-​Town area and I thought I’d give this place a try!
This place is definitely more of a take-​out spot or a quick bite to eat since they have one main table in front of the store. Since it was my first time, I decided to just try the 3 piece chicken wing (not so spicy) and the potato salad. The cashier seemed friendly while I gave my order so that’s a plus.
Although I was continuously tempted to dig in on my train ride home, I waited until I was in the comfort of my own room to start eating. As much as I love food, there’s no way I’d feel comfortable eating wings in front of strangers. Sure… maybe for some less messy types of food… but that’s besides the point.
Even though the three wings were roughly eight bucks, they definitely were the biggest wings I’ve ever came across. The skin was still crispy and the meat was soft and tender. But… I guess I was just underwhelmed by the wings as a whole? The sauce that came with the wings were good… it would be nice if it came with a bit more!
The potato salad was a-​ok. Not the best I had, nor the worst. Kinda wished the potatoes were cut up just a tad smaller?
Overall, it was an average experience for me. Not too sure I’d be back… but if I ever end up here again, maybe I’ll just try their wings spicy and see if I’ll end up liking those more. (And maybe just consume those wings right then and there instead of being patient…)

I stopped by this restaurant while in the area for an appointment nearby. I had been craving down home southern style food but I thought I’d give this place a try — soul food with a twist. The cashier at the window seemed pretty friendly and helpful while I placed my order.
This spot is pretty much a take out place but there are some tables and benches outside.
Honestly, I ordered way to much food but there was so much I wanted to try.
I ordered half a fried chicken with potato salad, collard greens and cornbread. Getting the food home was difficult because I was so curious and everything smelled great. But once I got home to try the food my excitement faded a little I must admit.
First, I’ll start with what I thought was the best part of the meal — the cornbread. It was excellent and cake like but not sweet like typical southern style cornbread. The scallion butter was the perfect finishing touch but I would’ve preferred if it was served separately. By the time I got home the butter was all over and came through the bag the bread was in.
The collard greens were delicious but in my opinion had to much of the sausage in one serving. The potato salad was very different but good however, it was hard for me not to compare it to what I’m used. It lacked the flavor that I’m used to in its traditional version. I had high expectations for the chicken but when I tried the breast — which is my favorite part — it was undercooked and the batter was still gooey in some areas. This is a definite issue that needs to be resolved. I had planned to try their wings at another time but after this experience I’m not sure about a repeat visit because the prices are pretty high to risk another chance at getting undercooked chicken.

The crust is like a featureless shell, not a light & crispy texture at all, just thick, not very seasoned either.
Chicken was dry, dark meat was tough. If it was brined it was most certainly overcooked.
Not much to say other than this is very disappointing fried chicken.
For $ 14.00 I expected much better. No excuse at these prices.

Don’t live that close but a friend brought me here despite the 20 minute drive just for some wings. It ended up being mac n cheese and collard greens too but in the end, I can’t complain. They are so nice in this place and they are open late.
Even though the place is small and there is no seating, grab it and go when you’re in the area. It def is not a disappointment. They are very well flavored and so juicy. The chicken is also organic.

I was gonna avoid feather and flapping puns in this review and get to the meat of it without too much clucking by simply recommending the best way to wet your beak here.
You want fried chicken but you don’t wanna sit on your couch staring at an empty grease-​stained box of KFC, all that batter stewing inside of you mocking your caloric folly. The spicy chicken goodness at Wangs will satisfy your deep fried poultry cravins without leaving you feel remorseful. Pair a 3-​piece with some kim chi or an ear of corn and you won’t have to hit the treadmill after.
It’s a little shack with some tables so if it’s not a nice day outside you’ll be takin that to go my friend.

Wangs, I want to love you (at a 5-​star level), but something’s holding me back.
The Wangs themselves are great. You get an actual full, chicken wing and the sauces are finger-​licking good. The hot sauce could stand to turn up the heat a little. The ‘organic fried chicken’ was fine, but the flavoring from the spices and brining was a little too subtle under the breading. I got kind of bored eating it and only wanted to return to the Wangs.
The fried chicken banh mi sounds right up my alley, but the chicken and the bread got really soggy under the influence of all the pickled condiments and mayo. Yes, I had it delivered, but I live within a very close radius, so it shouldn’t have gotten so uncrispy, so fast. I will try to order this again when I can get it hot and fresh and eat it outside, but the $ 12 price (apparently it used to be $ 10 and $ 11) will keep me from adding it to my Seamless cart for now.
On to the sides. Collard greens and mac & cheese are my two favorites, so of course I had to try their iterations. I loved the addition of Chinese sausage to the greens, but my order was just a smidge too vinegary overall. I really do like my collards to be zippy, so I’m not sure how they overdid it for my tastes. The mac & cheese was smooth, but could use a little more zip. I dug the coleslaw because I always prefer vinegary ones over the creamy iteration. These sides are a good deal if you’re getting the lunch or dinner boxes, but are too $$ for their size a la carte. I want to try their housemade kimchi but not for $ 4.75.

Yes, this place is called Wangs. Let all the laughs and sophomoric jokes out of your system now. Okay, done? Good, because let’s get serious.
The signature Korean-​style chicken wings (aka wangs) that they make here are serious business. They’re huge, cheap, crispy, and served in a tangy sweet sauce. We went with the hot sauce, and it actually wasn’t very hot at all. So go for it!
We also did a half chicken dinner (it comes with two sides). Sadly, the organic fried chicken wasn’t as good as the wings. It was a bit dry and needed more spice in the breading. Luckily, they have a ton of sauces available. We went with the kimchi aioli as recommended by the cashier. It was nice and tangy. Just the right amount of spice. They also have bottles of Sriracha and garlic Sriracha available at the front.
The corn bread was amazing. We had some fresh out of the oven. It was basically a mini-​loaf. The salted scallion butter was a great complement. We also tried the collard greens, which I wasn’t that into.
As for the space, it’s not much, but it’s cute. They took over the old Falafilo space (good riddance!) and basically replaced the entire first floor with a kitchen. There’s a walkup counter where you place your order, a picnic table in front of the store, a bench to wait for your order, and also a stand up counter where you can eat. Pretty basic, but it works. Saw a lot of takeout orders happen.
Service was pretty quick. We were lucky enough to have nobody in front of us when we sat down. We were also jerks who took forever to figure out our order, but the girl taking our order was super patient with us and gave us pretty good recommendations.
Will definitely be returning, hopefully to try the fried chicken banh mi!
