Win Hing

I guess they get two stars because Ive never gotten sick eating their food and it’s convience when I’m on my way home from school or work.
I used to order from them when they originally opened but quality has greatly diminished. Their fried rice is too oily too. Nothing on their menu is special to me. Wouldn’t ever go out of my way for their food.

Decent food, cheap price, large servings. Crab Rangoon needed salt, but the fried rice was very good. If I could make one suggestion it is order lunch special. Anymore than that is too much food! They take Credit cards. They have good Mexican, and it is close to my job. Not awesome but still very tasty.

They STILL have a health department rating of a B. They did not even bother to try to up their grade. There has been no grade pending in the window. Copied and pasted directly from the NYC department of health restaurant inspection page:

I have not eaten here since I got food poisoning and have been Vegan for 8 months now (this place helped me make that decision) I now get my Chinese over at JCF Chinese restaurant. (Lucky Garden)

I haven’t actually ordered from the Chinese menu, but the Tex-​Mex is fantastic! So far I’ve tried the Mexican pizza, steak burrito, steak quesadilla, and chicken enchiladas and they were all delicious! I ordered a beef pizza and it came with steak. That was a mistake, but it was actually better than I’d ever have thought. A happy error for me.
Friendly enough service, but they got very flustered when they messed up and tried to blame it on my sister-​in-​law, which was lame.

My boyfriend and I ordered mexican from here last night. The beans were spoiled. My boy friend got sick in the middle of the night. They have a B rating from the Department of Health. They have nine serious violations since September 2011 alone. See complete list of violations here —

Uh, hate to have to say this but recently a member of my household got food poisoning from an eggroll from Win Hing… and now they have a DOH «B»… so sad to see how far they’ve fallen. Time to find a new Chinese-​Mexican takeout, or Chinese, or Mexican.Yup.
