I provide drum lessons for all ages and skill levels, electronic music lessons in DAW programs such as Ableton and Logic Pro and basic theory and piano lessons, (piano lessons for beginners only.) I have been teaching for over 8 years with knowledge and experience in a vast array of musical styles. I am a professional musician with over 14 years of experience and have toured all over the world doing what I love. I love to teach and am passionate about offering my knowledge and experience to ANYONE who is interested in music regardless of experience or age. I have had experience teaching private lessons, group lessons, ensembles, and workshop classes of many different musical styles and genres. Zach Para is a drummer, composer and teacher currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
He combines his knowledge of traditional jazz, African, Brazilian, Afro Cuban and classical Indian styles with contemporary musical idioms drawing influences from hip hop, rock, and electronic music. Zach is an extremely versatile player regarded as a «highly creative musician”-Rakalam Bob Moses, with «energy and spirit, empowering everyone he plays with.» — Jerry Bergonzi.
Growing up in Seattle Washington, Zach began his musical studies at an early age and soon began playing in the internationally acclaimed Garfield Jazz Band. In his early years, he won many awards including most outstanding soloist at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival as well as other soloist awards at the Reno Jazz and Mt Hood Jazz Festivals. Zach has toured internationally and played at many notable festivals and venues including the Montreux and Umbria Jazz Festivals and Lincoln Center.
