J.M.L. Pest Control started with a passion for knowledge of insects, Their behavior, their diets, Their habitats & life cycles. Once an insect or rodent is identified & an inspection of the area in question is done can a proper treatment be made for the Elimination, Relocation or Exclusion of your most stubborn Pest & Rodent issues.

I started this business in 2008 after spending most of my life interested in bugs & animals of every kind, I enjoy learning about insects life cycles, habits, food sources & where they live. After being given a chance to work for several pest control businesses I learned about chemicals & what is the best to use for each situation, my knowledge of insects played a huge roll in how I performed my job. After seeing how other big name pest control places were all about getting 1 year contracts from customers or big money jobs & in most situations was really not warranted, I decided I would run my business differant than any place I have ever worked for or with. We only will give you the facts about your issue & only recommend services that are warranted, all with pro-​active recommendations to help control, exclude or eliminate future problems.

Don’t use them if you want someone who shows up their appointment. Since I booked the appointment on Tues for Sat and won’t be available until next Sat, I’ll be living an extra week with the mice. I did reach out and ask if they were still coming and I got no response. If they had called/​emailed to reschedule that would’ve been fine but this is unacceptable. This is a terrible company! How can you run a business and not SHOW UP to your appointments?! I highly recommend you look elsewhere.

Fantastic company. The customer service is stellar. I called for an issue and was promptly helped. I was dealing with a wasps nest and had at least 30 in the house at the time of my call. I had someone here within a few hours. It is obvious that they really truly care about fixing your pest issues. I was super impressed by the level of professionalism and how quickly they responded.

Very happy with our service. Scheduling was quick and easy (via email) and the service was prompt and friendly. They are coming back for a free follow-​up in the coming weeks but the initial service seems to have done the trick. Highly recommened.

Very disappointing. Although nice people, they treated 2 yellow jacket nests over a family room gutter. This drove the bees into a skylight. I had over 100 bees in my family room, and the nests outside were still active. When I called for help I was told there was nothing they could do and the bees would die in a week. This was unacceptable, so I had to call another company for help.

Day of Service:
Great service! Gerry (person sent to do the exterminating) was great in providing information about insects, bugs, & rodents. The information provided about landscaping, mulch, & insects were extremely helpful to keep them away from the house. As well as places to caulk around the exterior of the house to keep them out as well. He did not try to upsell me with maintenance contracts like the other large pest control companies. I told him about some possible rodent issues, and he asked me to clean it up and watch for activity so that I don’t waste additional money for a problem that doesn’t exist. How awesome is that? He answer all my questions and provided expert advice that was free of charge. I felt that he truly cared about the service he was providing and taking care of the pest control for the long run. Thanks guys!

I called several other places before I called these guys…
All the other places wanted me to sign a 12 month contract to come out & charge me monthly.
JML said its totally unnecessary.
I’d just moved into a new house that looked great, I keep my house immaculately clean & to my shock I had a serious mouse problem, I caught 6 mice in 3 days — eeeeeeeewww!
The snap traps did not work, they simply ate off them & did not set them off — so annoying.
I switched to the glue traps they worked for a bit.
The guys at JML explained you’ll only catch the babies with the glue traps the adults will go around them, jump over them & move them, sure enough I actually saw it happen — YIKES!!!
When JML turned up I felt like I got an entire history lesson on these little nasty, dirty creatures.
Everything was clear & the method they used WORKS !!!
If you think you can get rid of mice on your own like I did think again…
Call JML these guys know their stuff & it was the best $ 135 I ever spent ( Unilocal deal)

Good prices, friendly service, and timely. JML was very familiar with Philadelphia trinities and how they are set up and were able to get the job done for a very reasonable price.
They have a guarantee on their service, which also made me very happy.
Well, now we play the waiting game to see whether our house gets termites. Hopefully, not.

When I explained my situation to John, he was extremely helpful. He took the time to explain the life cycle and habits of the bed bugs, gave me details about all the treatments he was going to do and why, and what I needed to do to prepare. His treatment sounded the most thorough and his prices are the lowest I found. After the initial treatment, he does a 14 day followup spray and a 60 day guarantee. I didn’t hesitate to trust him with my treatment. The other exterminators I spoke with were quick to throw out dates and prices before taking the time to properly explain what they were going to do and why.
Due to equipment and scheduling issues and personal emergencies, Jon missed the first few appointments but was more than willing to make it right. He offered me a discount and a 2 week extension on the warranty, and I didn’t have to pay for the services until the follow up treatment. This speaks volumes about how confident he is in his treatments and that he genuinely cares about his customers.
I just had the follow up treatment and things are looking good! Both John and his colleagues are knowledgable, professional, and kind. I’d call him again for any kind of pest problem.

I called around to 3 or 4 pest control companies in Philly before I decided to go with JML. My phone call was promptly answered and so were all of my questions. The price is competitive even without the Unilocal offer I got, and they do a free comeback 2– to 3-​weeks after your first treatment that is included in the price. This guy really cares about what he is doing and he is genuinely interested in helping you with your problem, which is what really made me give him 5 stars. He was able to squeeze me in the next day after I called him frantically on the phone. JML also let me know all of the ways that I could be proactive in the meantime to make sure I don’t ever have to deal with the pests again. I just had my follow up appointment and I haven’t had any problems since, yay!
My #1 advice is DO NOT WAIT TOO LONG to take care of your pest problem! My problem was pretty much gone after the first treatment, but a lot of people wait too long because they think they can do it themselves, or they don’t want to shell out the money. Do yourself a favor and go to a professional. You don’t want your house to end up looking like something on «Hoarders!» It gets harder to get rid of the longer you go, and the stuff in the stores is not going to cut it.
