History

Established in 1997.

American Moving & Storage was started in 1997 with an old van and a dream. Today we have 30 employed full time staff, 9 local trucks, and 3 Coast to Coast Semi Truck and Trailers. We have over 30,000 sq. ft. of climate controlled warehouse space. We service local, national, and international relocation clients. All local moves include full coverage insurance. All interstate moves have full coverage insurance options at a very reasonable rate.

Jorge and Luiz are the best! They are professional, personable, fast, efficient, careful, thorough and very FUN to work with. A move is always stressful, but working with these guys and Dan at American Moving and Storage make it just that much easier. I would recommend the company and ask for these guys to move you; you’ll be glad you did!

Sean and Luis did an outstanding job packing art and moving furniture in preparation for staging my home for sale. Dan was able to schedule the help on short notice, and the guys were great! – Personable, efficient, a solid team. Their response to my every request was «it’s okay!» –I plan to ask American Moving to send Sean and Luis to do the rest of the packing when it’s time to move. I hope they’re available.

They were able to help me with a small move on short notice. They called when they were leaving so I’d know when to meet them at the storage facility and then they arrived right on time. The move from the storage unit to my home was very quick and professional and the guys — Wes and Ricardo — were awesome and friendly. I’ll definitely use them again next time I’m moving!

On 12/​21, the team of Gil, Luiz, Sean, Sergio and Omar moved our belongings using two trucks to our new home with exemplary professionalism. They arrived 15 minutes early and kept moving a house full of furnishings and several hundred boxes until the trucks were unloaded nine hours later. Despite cold temperatures and some snow on the ground, every item survived and was placed where we requested. Thanks.

This was the third time we’ve used American Moving & Storage in two years. We’ve just been wowed every single time. We’ve also sent 6 coworkers as referrals, and all of them have had amazing experiences.
This time, we had Charlie, Ricardo, and Gil helping us move. They were incredibly professional, thoughtful, and careful with our furniture and floors. I don’t know that I’ve ever come across such polite movers who cared about our stuff so much. I can’t gush about them enough!
The level of customer service is through the roof. These guys reinvent the game of moving!
Moving is such a stressful time. Do yourself a favor, and hire American Moving & Storage.

You never hear anything good about moving companies. Its a stressful time when moving with everything you need to do. American Moving and Storage were awesome from the initial phone call to the move itself. They didn’t break or even scratch any of my things. No wall dings in either home I don’t even think they touched a wall. David, Brad and Miguel were the guys they sent and I give them an A+ only because there is no rating higher. They arrived on time and finished early and were completely professional.

I was really pleased with the service I received. Gabriel, the owner, promised good guys, and Sean was a fantastic mover. I’d hire him again anytime. Gabriel called on moving day to check that everything was going well. They arrived on time, they had to hoist our sofa, which was not expected, and they did it well with no issues.

I have used American Moving twice and will continue to use them for any of my moving needs. Dennis Leash, Gil and Luis are just the best! They are very personable and easy to communicate with. Dennis gave advice on keeping moving costs down to a minimum and both quotes for both moves were exactly what we paid. Gil and Luis showed up on time and are very courteous, friendly and professional. Our items were wrapped carefully and moved without incident. Gil and Luis are amazingly quick which is why both our moves were completed on time. Both moves went smoothly and exceeded my expectations. Great job guys and keep up the great work!

The American Moving team members were prompt, polite and efficient. From providing the quote to moving my belongings to three different places, they were great. They wrapped my furniture so it didn’t get dirty or damaged. They packed my kitchen, which was a huge help.

I used American Moving and Storage in July and it was the most positive experience moving can be. It was one of the hotter days we had in July, and Gil, Charlie, and Clay worked like troopers for the entire day, quickly and without slacking at all. They were on time and took great care with all of my things. On top of that, they were extremely friendly. I am NEVER moving again, but I will recommend them, and have, to all of my friends.

Disclaimer: I did not use them for the move. This is about the experience of trying to use them.
Submitted an online quote request. Was given a quote with a lot of line items and significantly higher than the 3 – 4 other moving companies. When I inquired about the high cost and line items, the sales rep promptly replied asking who else I was thinking of using, then he sent me a Unilocal link to the reviews of those companies, pre-​sorted by the worst reviews at the top.
Not a good way to earn business, by bashing competition.
One of the line items was for an extra vehicle. Because I requested 4 movers, their trucks can only fit 3, so they need to charge $ 300+ for another vehicle for the extra mover. Uh, isn’t that vehicle that person’s car? Not sure why I would pay that much to have someone drive to my house, then drive to the dropoff point.
Lots of extra surcharges, most of which were assumptions based on my online quote, but did not need to be included up front.
Overall, just not easy to start business with. Who knows, they could actually do a good job moving.

I was referred to American Moving by our wonderful realtor Tony Martinez of Stellar Properties. Mr. Dennis Leash came to our house for an estimate; he was very courteous and efficient and the estimate was several hundred dollars cheaper than another company had given me. He also was sure to mention ways to keep the costs down, such as taking down and transporting everything that had been hanging on the walls. On the day of the move, the team showed up exactly on time, and was able to pack, move, and unpack our entire house into a new home in less than 8 hours. The only things that were broken were a hanger and a plastic lid! They were polite and obviously efficient as well as great at their job. My husband stated this was the best use of money he had ever seen and that we would never move again without movers. We highly recommend this team of movers!

From start to finish, Sean, Ian and Ron were a pleasure to work with. They arrived promptly and got right to work. Even when moving day stretched into moving evening they remained positive and upbeat. I can’t believe how hard these guys worked. They even packed and moved an engine and engine hoist for us. Final bill came in about $ 300 under estimate, which is a nice suprise. We will definitely use them again!

My wife and I had an excellent experience with American Moving & Storage. The team was contracted out to handle the unloading of the truck for our move to Denver from San Francisco. The guys showed up on time and were incredibly efficient and thorough. Not a speck of damage to the house or any of the goods that came off the truck. They were polite, helpful and very easy to work with.
I highly recommend their services if you’re in the Denver/​Boulder area.
