History

Established in 2001.

Express Testing was conceived and founded in 2001 on the premise that the testing and evaluation of materials and assemblies should be treated with the attention and urgency that is warranted by the customers’ requirements. We routinely begin evaluations and tests within hours of the receipt of test samples and we operate seven days a week when an aggressive schedule is required to meet customer requirements.

About the founder: Express Testing, Inc. was founded in Michigan (now operates out of Denver) by Michael Benton in 2001. Michael is President & Technical Director and is the lead investigator in all failure analysis activities. A Metallurgical Engineering graduate of the The Ohio State University, Michael has held the position of Applications Engineer for U.S. Steel, Failure Analyst for Boeing (McDonnell Douglas) and General Motors (Saturn Corporation) and Applications Engineer for both the aerospace and automotive sectors of the former Allied-​Signal Corporation. Michael is also a former ASM Scholar and Fellow at the Engineering Research Center for Near Net Shape Manufacturing at OSU.
