History
Established in 2000.
The dream of our head service technician, Bob, is the core of make it sew. He wanted to provide trustworthy sewing machine service and carry a line of sewing machines that are the best on the market. This led to his becoming a JANOME, Necchi, Elna and Handi Quilter dealer.
As the second half of the husband wife partnership, Karen, who fell in love with fabric and sewing at a very young age, added education to the mix. The team is committed to bringing the best service and supplies of all things sewing related to their customers.
The store’s team has grown, providing many years of expertise in all things sewing related. They speak repairs, embroidery, quilting, alterations, and clothing.
As things change, the standard of customer service doesn’t at make it sew, and that will always be excellent.
Meet the Business Owner
Robert J.
Business Owner
Robert began working a technical job for Singer in 1977, discovering more about his father’s propensity for repairing sewing machines. He became an independent contractor for many local dealers, gaining factory training from all of the major sewing machine brands. Eight years at a six-line dealer made him aware of how differing manufacturing philosophies produced machines with different strengths and weaknesses. For 23 years he serviced at an average rate of 1,000 units per year. To date Robert has repaired close to 40,000 sewing machines and counting. His repair business evolved around 1995 and grew into a retail business in 2000. He has dutifully trained his son Beau who has become an equally skilled technician, and has been repairing machines for close to 15 years, since the inception of Make It Sew. Bob has spoken at many seminars, taught classes, trained technicians, and privately repaired machines for almost every major dealer in the Denver Metro Area.
