I’ve meant to try this place for a while now since I saw it last time I had to go to Secretary of State.
I checked out reviews only a few here on Unilocal so I checked online too. This place has a website so was able to look menu over as well. Basically I went into this dining experience thinking I had some knowledge of the menu — however not so much the online menu didn’t exactly line up with the actual menu.
Online the menu says they have a lunch special of several different sandwiches including fries and a cup of soup for $ 7.50 Monday-​Friday 11a. m– 3:00p.m well I call bs, because that’s not true. They only offered two sandwiches with fries or soup for $ 8.50. They also have 99 cent coneys on Tuesday.
Well I got the philly sub special with soup and my dining companion did also. FYI I ordered first (copycat) The sandmich was good, the soup meh. microwaved mind you this is at lunchtime. I stole a few fries off my chums plate. those were pretty tasty actually awesome.
The service was strange our server had her baby in the restaurant and when I say baby, I mean barely sitting up. She was a dolly. Really cute, the staff was playing with her on the lunch counter, passing her around to customers. kinda weird but who am I to judge just strange.
Our server was attentive still did a fine job. This place seems like a close knit group which that’s great!
I might try again that whole online miss info kinda irritated me not a deal breaker but misleading for sure. I guess inflation is to blame, however they should really update the website.

Excellent food, our favorites are the greek salad with chicken and chili, cheese fries. Generous food portions with friendly staff. Our favorite place to eat in or take out.

Stopped in today after a visit to the MI SOS office next door. Had the Breakfast Special with coffee amd the bill came to $ 5 and some change. Breakfast was typical of a place like this, and I had no complaints. Coffee and service was as to be expected. Would have no problem returning in the future or recommending this place
