this place has been around since I was a kid. And is still by far my favorite Mexican restaurant. authentic and made fresh.

Well, you gotta try things to know, right? There was nothing wrong with the food per se, but it was just so bland. I expect some spice in my Mexican food, and there was none. The waitress insisted on bringing both mild and«spicy» salsa, which turned out to be a good laugh. I think the mild was just watered down tomato paste. One thing that did shine was their use of some wonderful cheeses!

We stopped in for a quick dinner after reading some of the reviews on here. This place wasn’t nearly the hidden gem that it was mentioned to be in my opinion. The food itself was decent, and the hostess made us feel at home. I ordered the combination #1 which was a taco, cheese enchilada, tostada, and tamale. Enchilada was good, but the taco shell was a little chewy, and the tostada was mediocre. My tamale turned out very mushy as well. This place was very tiny, and had maybe a total of 20 – 25 seats available for patrons. You can easily hear all the conversations going on around you, and I wasn’t a huge fan of that. The best part was the chips and salsa, as those were solid. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place if you are looking for great mexican food, but I also wouldn’t say its the worst I have been to.

Me and my PIC decided to try this place after and few failed attempts. Their hours vary to when it is convenient for them to open. We love Mexican food and try to frequent local establishments but this place failed to deliver. The service was poor the food well could be better. Would never want to rude but I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Wine Margaritas who goes to a Mexican restaurant for fake Margaritas not this guy. Salsa bland chips bagged or tasted that way. Décor outdated just not the dining experience you want when taking someone out for dinner. Pass on this place if you have an option.

Really an authentic Mexican restaurant. There is no way I would pass this place up if I were in a mood for taco’s, enchilada’s, etc. Everything on the menu is really tasty. The owner is super friendly and makes sure you feel at home. Atmosphere is very intimate and«south of the border». No problem hanging out for a while. There is no rush at this restaurant.

Excellent authentic northern Mexican food. Mole chicken and guacamole was very good. Call ahead to make sure they are open.

I’ve been eating at Eldorado for many years, and even though I now live quite a distance away, I still try and go there when I can. This family run Mexican restaurant/cantina has some great made-to-order food, fresh chips and home made salsa, and a decent selection of adult beverages. The ever-present owner(who is sometimes doing all the waiting AND the cooking is always friendly and upbeat. Closed Sundays and Mondays.

My boyfriend and I have been here several times and it is consistently the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. Everything is extremely fresh, and all their drinks are under $ 5. We probably pass 5 Mexican restaurants on the way but it is well worth the drive! The hostess is very friendly and accommodating. I usually get the cheese chimichangas and they are nice and crispy with fresh guacamole on top.

El Dorado is one of those hidden away gems that made me a fan of Mexican food! For ages my wife had been saying to me that we should go there, and I am sorry that I did not take her advice sooner. Don’t be fooled by the exterior of the restaurant– the inside has an authentic, cozy ambiance and the hostess is a delight! Very welcoming and very friendly. The food is the best Mexican I have ever tasted, and surpassing many restaurants that we have been to in Mexican town. Starting with the Margaritas and the chips and salsa it was excellent beginning to a fantastic dinner. My wife had a combination plate, and the fried taco was out of this world! I ordered the Fajitas and the beef was so tender and flavorful– and along with the Spanish rice best I have ever tasted! Do your taste-buds a favor and go to El Dorado :)
