History

Established in 1959.

Brunswick Reupholstering Company was originally founded in 1959 by James J. Connolly, father of current owner, Nancy Connolly Sherin.

Prior to resurrecting the family business, Nancy was responsible for the quality, sourcing and costing for the entire indoor and outdoor furniture line at LL Bean, Inc. She has a keen eye for quality in all types of furniture.

Business Owner

Nancy learned the upholstery business at the early age of 13 by working alongside her father, mother and brother in their family business. She worked there for 5 years and then left for other employment. Through the years, she’s had her hand in upholstering furniture but it wasn’t until her job was eliminated at a major retailer in Maine that she decided to go back to her roots and resurrect Brunswick Reupholstering Co.
