The Rumpus Room

I was looking for a Christmas gift for my 14mo nephew that would provide him and his parents with an experience instead of buying toys to clutter my sister and her husband’s house. She mentioned that they occasionally visited a nearby place called the Rumpus Room (5 minutes away from her house) and I decided to look into buying her a pass or membership — their website was easy to navigate and after looking over my options I decided a «Jumpin’ Joey Pass» would be the best fit for the gift.
When I emailed the Rumpus Room, I received a quick, professional reply that explained exactly how I could go about calling and buying the pass (since I live in Texas). When I called, the owner answered and was exceptionally kind, courteous, and professional over the phone. She gave me the option of 1. Buying the pass and having my sister pick it up at the Playroom on her first visit, 2. Mailing it directly to me in Texas, 3. Mailing it to my sister, or 4. She realized she lived very close to my sister and offered to hand deliver it to their mail box that same day. I selected #4 and my sister was super excited to get the gift right away. It was easy to pay by credit card and the owner even mailed me a hard copy of my receipt with a hand written thank you note.
My sister just sent me a video of my nephew playing at the Rumpus Room on their first visit and it looks like he is having a blast! Lots of space, fun toys, and NO clean up or clutter for Mom and Dad! I cannot recommend them enough as a professional business that provides an awesome experience for little kids — even if you live out of state!

I can’t believe that we’ve lived in Maine for almost a year and today was our first visit to the rumpus room. This place is so much fun! My almost two year old had a blast today. He especially loved the train table and the assortment of cars and trucks. They have a bouncy house, ball pit, several play structures with slides and things to climb on, a puzzle/​reading room, play kitchens, doll houses, and lots more! We will definitely be visiting this place often! Today was a holiday so it was packed but I’m curious to see how busy it is the next time we visit. For $ 10 we stayed for 90 minutes which seems like a fantastic deal. And they host birthday parties! My little guy didn’t want to leave… so we will definitely be back soon!
