I asked if they had a certain movie and was told«yeah it’s in blah blah blah section» instead of being walked over to it. I couldn’t find the movie because the section was intermixed with other movies not of the same category, and none of it was in alphabetical order. I asked someone from the store if they could help me find it; they looked and concluded«someone must have picked it up and then put it back in the wrong spot» and left it at that. In short, the store is disorganized, and the staff are unhelpful.

I sooo missed Austin’s voluminous comic book, movie, book and eclectic collections stores until I walked into this store! I went in to see if I could unload a portion of my extensive movie collection and was not expecting too much. boy was I wrong! I ended up having to walk around the store while Cody was checking out my collection and was soo thrilled to find so many cool items. I had to stop myself before I bought too much stuff! I was surprised to find they were able to but almost my whole bundle for way more money than I could have imagined! I will definitely be going back, a lot!

I miss having a Hastings in Austin. I loved this location for it’s large amount of collectables and toys– tv, movie, music, games. I spent over an hour just going around this store. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this store.

I’ve been to the Hastings in College Station and had no idea there was one in Bryan! Now two stores to annoy my friends to goto everyday. This is like a best buy + circuit city + frys + comp USA + 90s + north korea superstore. They have everything from renting movies to buying all the Doctor Who stuff you can put in your cart. Don’t forget the Legos, video games, book store, coffee, and comic books or your skateboard gear. l77t nerd store fosho. hit it up if you love cool stuff.

Good place to get a book, comic, cd, movie, video game or magazine, but sadly the organization is not up to par with the barns and nobles in town, this location has a lot of products but not the cleanest place I have been to, it also seems that every time I go to pick up a comic there is 10 people on line with one register open, in fact I don’t think I have every seen multiple registers open. Employees seems to always be nice and helpful. It’s worth a trip to see what deals they have.

I used to love this bookstore, but lately it just keeps looking more sad. Selection is sparse, it isn’t clean, and the staff don’t seem to care. I’m looking for somewhere new :(

Wasn’t too terribly pleased with this chain location. One thing it has in common with the other location on Texas avenue is that the used movies are largely overpriced. You can rent almost anything I was interested in by Amazon on demand and not have to deal with an out-dated physical DVD itself, nor have to drive to a store. Pretty sure the movies section of Hastings will end up going away, like Blockbuster. Music selection seems to be heavy in «rap» which isn’t actually music yet tribal thumping and ranting by loonaticks and the books are as well overpriced with better deals for the same titles again at Amazon. Parking lot is a terrible nightmare of I don’t even know what to call them, you know those green and purple old cadillacs with shiny spoke wheels that stick out two feet from the tire and have stereos that sound the like trunk is gonna rattle lose? Yeah those. There’s a ton of those driving around all over with the slunk down drivers looking at the other ones to make sure they see them. Sigh… And the few parking spaces to be found are tiny. Nah, I don’t think so. Won’t go back that’s for sure. Don’t care for the high prices or the neighborHOOD.

Definitely better than the CS store. Easier, more friendly layout with used books organized within the sections. But what sold me was the Texas Country wall in the music section.

Hastings is quite nice. I used to go to the one in Lake Jackson many years ago and this one doesn’t disappoint. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad, but people tend to overlook the fact that they sell video games. The result of which is that when I want a game that nobody else has in stock, I can always go by Hastings and get it. They even had rock band for $ 100 when everybody else in town was selling it for $ 150.

I love this Hastings. I haven’t been to the College Station one since the construction, but this one really set you up nice. They have a great movie selection, decent music collection, and best magazine collection in the BCS area. The workers were slow but steady and always wanted to help. It was clean. Emphasis on the clean. Even the restrooms! Big plus in my book. Their used book collection wasn’t as extensive as the College Station store, but I really came here for the magazines and uninterrupted silence.
