It is the mission of Texas State Optical of Bryan to provide the highest quality care and the finest optical products to every patient, focusing on their individual needs and maximizing value. At Texas State Optical of Bryan our eye doctors believe in looking at the big picture when it comes to your eye health, so we take the time to get to know you, your eye care history and your vision needs. Doctors House knows that getting the right prescription involves balancing several factors, including clear eyesight, visual efficiency and your ability to process visual information seamlessly. Whether you need a routine eye examination, an eyeglasses fitting, contact lenses or treatment for eye disease (such as glaucoma or macular degeneration) or eye surgery (such as LASIK or cataract surgery), our optometrists will provide you with the best care, advice, options and follow up. To that end Dr. Jon House and staff pledge to practice the highest professional and ethical standards and to show the utmost respect for their patients.
History
Established in 1936.
Texas State Optical was founded in 1936. TSO Bryan has been a fixture in the community since 1954. Dr. Erwin Luedemann operated TSO in downtown Bryan until 1984 when Dr. Phillips assumed ownership. Meet the Business Owner
Jon H.
Business Owner
Jon House, O.D. grew up in the small town of Three Rivers Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Houston College of Optometry, but first became interested in eye care while working at a large eye care clinic with several ocular specialists during his undergraduate career. He is excited to bring his beautiful wife and two daughters to Bryan/College Station and looks forward to building lasting relationships with its citizens.
Dr. House believes that he developed several values while growing up in a small town that set him apart from other eye doctors.“When you are sitting in my chair it’s personal. Anyone can learn how to get a person to read the bottom line on an eye chart. I want to know about my patients and learn how I can be of assistance in a way unique to each person.” Dr. House also believes that careful examination and continuous care are the keys to maintaining good vision.“I don’t want you just seeing well today, I want to do everything I can to keep you that way.”
