Buena Park Chapel Renaker-Klockgether Mortuary

I drive past this place on my and to and from work for the past 10 years, so when the unexpected happened, I called this place first.
Middle of the night, a lady answered her phone and despite being woken up, was super nice, sympathetic and understanding.
I think the same lady guided my brother and father through to process of getting my mom laid to rest. My utmost appreciation goes to her for helping my dad through it since he was still in shock.
Every step of the way, this place was there and supportive.
Thank you for all that you did to help me and my family through this time.

On 6÷14÷15, my wonderful mother passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. i had always been a planner and decided in 2012 to purchase a pre-​need funeral service. At the recommendation of a family friend, i decided to use Renaker-​Klockgether Mortuary. Despite all my planning, I was a basket case the day my mother died. I couldn’t bare the thought of not having my mother around, let alone plan a viewing, funeral service, and burial. I thank my lucky stars that Renaker-​Klockgether Mortuary was there for me.
My mother was respectfully taken that Sunday morning and on Monday, I was able to meet with Cheri to discuss all the specifics. As family began to arrive from out of town, Joe and Cheri allowed us to see mom whenever we wanted. We had to postpone the service until all of our family arrived, but we were told it was absolutely ok. They had a lovely chapel at the site that was beautifully arranged for the viewing on Thursday evening 6÷30÷15. My mother looked so peaceful… as if she was sleeping. Her makeup was perfectly done. My 90 year-​old father spent the whole evening sitting on the chapel pew nest to her casket as guests watched a a family video, as well as looked at framed pictures, and helped themselves to refreshments in the other rooms. Although we had reserved the site from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Joe and Andrea did not rush us to leave. As a family, we closed my mother’s casket together.
On the day of the funeral and burial, 7÷1÷15, Joe orchestrated the events very well. He coordinated what the family pallbearers had to do and worked with our pastor to ensure that all of the church’s religious practices were observed. We had to drive to the VA cemetery for the burial from Long Beach and once again Renaker-​Klockgether Mortuary made it seem flawless. It’s been a week now since my mother was buried and they gave me this time to clear my mind before I see them again to finalize any loose ends. I can’t thank the staff enough for their kindness, empathy, and most especially… their professionalism.

I must say that Renaker-​Klockgether Mortuary made a very difficult time with the loss of my dad, stress and anxiety free for me and my family. They provided everything as they said they would and allowed us extra time to visit privately with him. The staff was friendly and respectful and I am so thankful that I found them. Good service deserves to be recognized and their follow up was also an A+.

I was at the Santa Ana health department filing documents that I needed and bumped into a man by the name of Joe. He is a real down to earth guy and came off as a good hearted person. We got to talk and in our conversation he mentioned he owned a funeral home in Buena Park, but didn’t think much of it because I figured I would never see it.
As I was leaving I mentions I needed to go make copies for the consulate I was going to. That’s when joe offered his copier at the funeral home (since it was on my way to the consulate and right off the 5 freeway).
I really wasn’t going to go, but decide to go anyways just to see the place for a bit.
From the outside it doesn’t really look like much, but when you go Inside you can really see the love he has for his city. There is a lot of history inside, like the Buena Park room, bathrooms that will just amaze you. I’m kinda wonder why he doesn’t turn it into a museum as well. But more than anything it really felt like home. They are currently working on remodeling the back yard… I’ll post a picture so you can see it.
Everyone there is so real and down to earth. They are very professional and really feel for the families’ difficult situation. I hope I don’t need there services soon, but if the time were to come I would definitely trust them with my family.

The staff here were a blessing during such a difficult time in our lives. We all appreciated the sincerity and compassion with which Cheri gave to us from beginning to end. She is an angel and such a great asset to this company. My family and I truly felt like they were dedicated to us and making sure that the services for my dad were very special, respectful and unique.

I cannot express the gratitude and complete satisfaction for the services I received from Renaker-​Klockgether Mortuary. My mother in law who had past away pre-​chose this location to be in charge of her final arrangements and I cannot thank her enough to have chosen a place that is so sincere, comforting, and intimate to help our family during such a hard time. The location is small but incredibly beautiful and intimate (be sure to look at the beautiful details in the décor!). I have to send a big THANK YOU to Cheri who made this whole process so easy for my family and I. She brought so much joy to my young children and her humor got us through this complicated process. Cheri even assisted my husband getting the documentations and approval to transfer the cremated remains back to Mexico. They are very well priced and inexpensive. You will get more than you will actually pay for with the quality and care they give you. Cheri, my family and I cannot thank you enough for coordinating us during and even AFTER the services. We appreciate your genuine compassion and couldnt ask for a better person to have worked with!
