The company was originally founded in 2001 when Randy Maddix was experiencing sleeping challenges on his old spring mattress. Determined to find the most comfortable sleeping surface, the REM Sleep Solutions concept began as he sought to find the best mattress to sleep on — one that would relieve the pressure point pain on the back, shoulders and hips. After many months of research and design with many of the most experienced managers in the mattress industry, the Martinique mattress was founded. With steady annual growth in the home show and retail market, the company incorporated in 2007. It was determined that REM would build the highest quality mattress and offer a lifetime warranty. Since then REM Sleep Solutions has experienced exponential growth due to the comfort of their mattress and customer referrals.
