Command Liquor & Wine

The prices are a little high in my opinion but you are paying for the convenience. Blasdellians can walk to Command from their homes. They do offer loyalty discounts and rewards.

I’ve been to some shady, not so classy liquor stores in my 20+ years buying liquor/​wine, but this one, in a «respectable» location on South Park in Blasdell is a real doozy. As soon as I walked into the place, it reeked of musty/​mildew smell, due to its disgusting soaked carpet throughout the place. Apparently the owners are a husband & wife couple. The wife was working there at the time of my visit and couldn’t be less helpful. She didn’t say hello when I entered. Didn’t even look away from her phone. When I asked her for a particular liquor, Chartreuse, she didn’t even know what I was talking about and acted extremely annoyed by me asking for help. She responded by saying «If we have it, it’s over there» and pointed to the wall. I ended up finding it myself, no thanks to her. It looked like it had been sitting in a basement for 5 years. The dust on it was ridiculous. Obviously they don’t clean their store and don’t sell much Chartreuse, which is very expensive. When checking out, I playfully, jokingly said «I hope the liquor is cleaner than the bottle.» She looked at me with a look that could kill and said «If you don’t want it, go to another liquor store.» I was shocked. I actually looked at her and said «I was just joking, but you know what, I WILL go to another store.» This is the owner??? I’ll never go back there. I’ve never experienced such rude service and from an owner to add. Obviously they don’t care about their business. I’m not one to usually complain, especially about a liquor store, but this experience left a very bad taste in my mouth. Fortunately for me, I was able to wash that taste out with the Chartreuse I purchased from the liquor store around the corner. Cheers!
