There are many good things about this place. Let’s start with the big one: free and low cost medical and dental care. Yes, there is someone out there that realizes health care is expensive and many people don’t have insurance.
Another good thing — they take walk ins.Yep. Walk-​ins for doctors. Who does that? Only these lovely folks. AND they are open on Saturday. Amazing.
Unfortunately, you will probably have to wait a long time whether a walk-​in or an appointment. As the first walk-​in of the day (for my baby girl), we had to wait 1h 15 min. But folks with appointments were waiting even longer. Everyone was trading stories about how long they have had to wait there. No one had ever had a wait shorter than 45 minutes and these are folks with appointments. Sounds like the dentist lines go faster though.
It also gets pretty crowded in that waiting room. It quickly ran out of chairs. This can be especially challenging when waiting a long time with squirming children. I saw at least one 4 year old have a melt down.
So good to know that there is something like this in the community but probably shouldn’t be your first choice.
