Description

Specialties

Dave Ruch is a special musician and performer widely noted for his ability to engage audiences of all kinds.

Travelling regionally and internationally from his home base in Buffalo NY, Dave gives hundreds of concerts each year for school assembly programs, historical societies, museums, libraries, colleges and universities and community events. He is also a leader in the field of online cultural arts programming for K-12 schools via distance learning and virtual field trips.

Whether presenting a lecture/concert for adults on the War of 1812, or singing right down on the floor with pre-schoolers; performing in a theater with The Canal Street String Band, or solo in a middle school «cafetorium» for 8th graders; working with archival music collections, or being filmed for an Emmy-winning PBS documentary; giving online assembly programs for elementary schools, or community concerts at arts centres across the UK; it’s the effortless weaving of stories, humor, and audience participation, together with Dave’s carefully researched songs and fine musicianship, that keeps him in such demand, working throughout the year in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Vermont, Connecticut, Ontario Canada and the UK, and far beyond through video conferencing and live streaming programming.
