History
Established in 1974.
At our General Store at 11 Greenfield Street from 1971 – 1983 we attracted many of the neighbors to our deli sandwiches and hand dipped Perry’s Ice Cream cones. Over the years, the adjacent property owners offered and held mortgages for Bill and his (late) wife Sharon Johnston. As our Greenfield neighborhood evolved from mainly off campus students at UB when their North campus opened, we enjoyed meeting tenants of so many other occupations. Small Clean, Honest, and Friendly was a long time slogan of Johnston’s General Store. Our family since 1971 has enjoyed providing food, shelter, and entertainment. Johnston’s Coin Operated Games have entertained with arcade games in other businesses since Space Invaders landed in 1978.
