This company held my car hostage when it was towed Sunday morning. I was stranded in Buffalo for a day until I could finally recover it Monday morning. They operate two businesses under one name (which is deceiving) and don’t make their hours publicly available. The company tried to charge me an extra day for housing the car, I disputed the charge and won. Worst experience of my life– I urge you to report them to BBB because they operate a terrible business model.

The guys at Lightning Towing were fantastic! I needed to tow my car a few miles from my house to a storage unit, called Lightning Towing and set up an appointment. The two that showed up were polite, quick and professional. They even helped to push the car into my storage unit. I couldn’t thank them enough for the help and for such a reasonable price. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I will first start off by saying, yes, I was towed. I parked in a posted parking lot, my fault! In my defense, the post is recent, as I have been parking there for years. Who would think to get out and scan the lot for a posted sign when I’ve been parking there for years??? Fine, my fault. Lightning Towing’s website is no more than a page with their logo and address on it. There are no listed hours and no one answers the phone! On two other websites (google reviews and super pages) they are listed as 24 hours. Great, no problem. I’ll pick up my car the next day, right? Nope. I called for hours and hours and no one answered. Finally, when they did, they said there were closed for impound and only working dispatch calls on Sunday. So, what happens when I go to pick up the car Monday? $ 250 later, they charged me for two days of storage. I told the man your hours are 24hrs and it does not specify whether it’s impound or dispatch and that’s unfair and could he please waive the extra day fee. Nope. So, I called the attorney general’s office to file a complaint. Poor. Very poor. How can you live with yourself?
