When I’m working downtown I always stop at Moura’s. What this place is good for: — Sandwiches or wraps that you pick your breads, meat, toppings — Soups: There’s 3 choices that change each day — Side salads(potato, macaroni, Greek, whatever you’d expect to find at a deli) — Drinks: They have several coolers with lots of choices with my favorite, Karma water — Value: The daily specials are a whole sandwich with a cup of soup — It’s clean and in a convenient location The only thing this place isn’t good for is sit down, it’s take-out only.

Great sandwiches and customer service. They are always fast, fresh and friendly. A full sandwich is between $ 6.00-$ 8.00 but they are huge. There’s always daily specials which include a half of sandwich and soup. I recommend them over the tasteless subway any day.

I work downtown and go to Moura’s regularly for a sandwich. I am always pleased with the sandwiches and wraps(note my comment on the salads below). A nicely stacked sandwich for $ 6. You can’t beat that! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and no matter how busy they are(I’ve been there when the line’s been out the door), they greet you with a smile and thank you for your business. It’s a take-out deli, so don’t plan on sticking around. Besides the cold sandwich options, they have soup and hot sandwiches, as well as full salads, side salads(mac, potato, etc.), and light desserts. I will say the Greek salad I had once was disappointing. I haven’t tried another salad since. I didn’t knock them down a star because of the mediocre salad simply because they won me over with their sandwiches. Want a sandwich? This is the place! Want a salad? Try somewhere else. Oh, and as most lunch business downtown, watch the hours. If you want a late lunch, fuggedaboudit! Moura’s closes around 2:30pm.

People who think this place sucks, are Moura-ons. Sorry to be insulting but it’s true. Obviously I wanted to give Moura’s a 5, who wouldn’t? Everyone told me to give it a 5. In fact the CM of Syracuse, NY told me that if I didn’t give this a 5, family members would start disappearing leaving me with only one recourse: contact Liam Neeson and ask him to talk to the Syracuse CM on the phone. By the way, I just found out where the owners are from. Mouracco. The problem is, Moura’s sabotaged themselves. Because I really don’t like turkey. At all. Horrible country with horrible people. Oh wait sorry, no, that’s not what I meant to say at all. What I meant to say is I don’t like turkey. The meat. It just does nothing for me. It tastes of salt. I’m so not into it. People in England don’t really eat Turkey much except maybe on Xmas when the Syracuse CM puts a gun to their head and tells them to. By the way, want to go here with me? If so, I’ll meat you there tomoura mouraning. So of course when I ask what the best thing is, and they insist on Turkey, as do the reviews, as does the person who is sharing the food with me, then of course I have to get the Turkey. But I really didn’t like it. The sandwich was a little sweet and I don’t lik sweet… the Turkey and cheese were good, but I could never say I loved this sandwich. By the way, if anyone dies in this building, do they get taken to the Moura-torium? What I can say is that *for* a turkish sandwich, I mean turkey, *given* that I don’t like them, it wasn’t too bad. But I know I could have enjoyed it a lot more had I got something different. So I’ll give it another try at some point. Is the summary of this review«Fox doesn’t like Turkey»? Moura less.

I love Moura’s– it is exactly what it should be, a great little soup/salad/sandwich shop. A full sandwich will run you around $ 6(it’s huge), a half sandwich somewhere around $ 3(it’s still huge). I recommend the chicken salad or turkey bacon. Had to have a little chuckle over Brandon V’s denial of a third slice of bread by whom I can only assume was Mark, the manager of the deli and one of the reasons I like this place so much. The guy’s got kind of a rough personality which I find endearing in little places like this, and his mom(the little old lady whose head you’ll see bobbing around back) prepares most of the soups and salads herself. The one thing that sucks is that they’re only open for lunch, until about two(and not at all on the weekends), but I can’t even take a star off for that since I love this place so much.

Hands down, the absolute BESTBEST sandwich place you’ll find in Buffalo, New York. You can’t go anywhere else after this and be pleased. Not to mention the soups!!! I’m amazed.

I think the food quality at Moura’s is great. It’s just a little sandwich and salad lunch deli in the heart of downtown.(No eat in, just take out). Even if the line is long, you can get in and out pretty quickly. My one gripe is their definition of a club sandwich. As noted in a previous review, their ‘club’ sandwich is simply a sandwich without the third layer of bread. The first couple of times I ordered a turkey club, and instead got a turkey sammich, I thought it was a mistake. The third time I asked specifically if their ‘club’ had a third slice of bread the nice lady at the counter told me ‘no’. Then, I asked if they could please add it. She wasn’t sure andasked her manager, to which he replied with a straight out ‘no’ and absolutely no explanation or justification. They will not do it, even if you ask. It’s no big deal, and the sandwich always takes great, but I wish they wouldn’t use the word ‘club’ on their menu, as it is misleading, IMO. Oh, and their chicken salad on bulkie roll is probably the best there is downtown. Prices are good, pickles are good, and the place is consistently consistent.

I was in the mood for a turkey club and I wanted the turkey to be fresh cut. I love Moura’s but a turkey club wasn’t on the menu… I went anyways and they made me one of the most tastey turkey sandwiches I’ve ever had. I just savored it at my desk. Although non-tradional, lacking the 3rd peice of bread which I didn’t miss at all, it satisfied my craving and I will order another one again soon! I ususally go to Moura’s for egg salad, they’re one of the only places that makes it fresh and it’s always done correctly… highly recommend both sandwiches! Try the marble rye with the egg salad!

Moura’s is simply outstanding. It’s a small take-out deli. Had lunch there today and they never fail. I just had a ½ sandwich. smokehouse ham on rye. Yummy… and it was huge. Cost about $ 3. The place always smells of fresh food/bread. We ordered sandwiches recently for guests in from LA and they couldn’t stop talking about how awesome Moura’s sandwiches are! They want to know if they deliver to California… LOL
