Best wings around without a doubt. They are worthy 5 stars. If you’re coming for great wings fine, just don’t expect much scenery. Friendly staff

Best wings hands down in Buffalo, you will not be disappointed! Make sure to try the fries too. The service is awesome and very atentive. If you go there and it’s busy make sure you srick around, the food is worth the wait.

Go for the wings, but don’t stay for the service. A group of friends and mine attended dinner here this past Saturday night. The restaurant is cash only and seating is very limited(about 15 – 20 comfortably at the bar and 25 – 30 in the dining area). I would NOT recommend going in a large group after our terrible experience this past weekend. We had a group of 8 and they will not seat you unless your entire party is there. We missed our table by about 2 minutes when another group of 8 came in and were seated right away before our eyes. I understand that seating is limited and the wait can be awhile, but after waiting an hour and a half for our table and then an additional hour and a half for our food we started to lose our patience. The bar staff was neither friendly or attentive when we were trying to order drinks while we waited for our food. Once we were finally seated, two smaller parties surrounding us received all of their food and drinks before we received ours as well. The menu is limited to wings, pizza logs, fries and some other typical bar food selections as well. I will say this, the food is delicious. Probably some of the best chicken wings and seasoned fries that I have ever experienced, but the hospitality of the servers and owner/cook was so terrible that we will never return again. The waitress seemed new and nervous, but, regardless, she was not very attentive to our group even after we politely expressed concern that the other tables around us were seated after us and served before us. She just told us «It’s the order the food is dropped in the fryer»(so apparently we must have been last). Not only was she inattentive, but she also spilled not one, but TWO drinks on my friend and I on two separate occasions. My friend received about half of a bottle of beer on her, whereas I was covered in about 2 – 3 draft beers. After this incidence, we were met with a change in waitresses as our initial waitress giggled awkwardly and ran away and then by a bus boy who brought over a stack of napkins that wouldn’t even clean up a carton of spilled milk. After this, the waitress informed us that she wasn’t going to charge us for the drinks that she spilled on us(geez, thanks) and that was the only item that was taken off of our bill. They didn’t seem to care that they had covered a customer head to toe in beer. After we had received our food(finally!), the owner/cook came over and proceeded to ask us how our food was and if everything was OK. We said«Yes, everything is OK and the food is great.» And as he walked away, the owner said«Good, as long as you stop abusing my waitresses» and walked away without offering any sympathy or condolences for our terrible service and long wait. What is most appalling to me, is the abhorrent service and hospitality that we received from a «Traditional Buffalo Establishment.» I am always quick to pride our city with it’s «Friendly Neighbors» and general pleasantness and hospitality; however, this tavern does not truly represent what Buffalo stands for. I am still in utter disbelief that the owner could be so condescending and uncaring towards the needs of his patrons. I have never felt so unwelcome and unwanted in a restaurant. Not even one person within this establishment made any effort to make the customer(may I add«drenched customer») happy. It felt as if I was in an episode of Seinfeld and that the owner was going to come out and yell, «NOWINGSFORYOU!» at any minute. Needless to say, my friends and I will never return here again, which is unfortunate because their wings are truly fantastic, but I have such a bitter taste in my mouth from how poorly my friends and I were treated that they have lost our patronage for years to come.

This place has amazing wings and chicken fingers. They only take cash so be prepared. our order took about an hour because it had gotten busy, but the food was totally worth it! I will return soon!

Very good wings, but surprised there is no BBQ option. Didn’t matter though, these guys know how to do wings. The Finn fries are fantastic — hand cut and fried with a tasty seasoning that’s addictive. Beer selection is limited, but the food is the main event here so who cares? Rivals Bar Bill’s wings and blows Anchor Bar and Duff’s out of the water!

This is the place I love for the food and for the service and let me tell you why. Katherine has been my server both times that I’ve been to the Nine-Eleven Tavern. She’s quick, witty and a lot of fun. She doesn’t take herself too seriously and I love that. She is great with getting the drinks I order to me quickly, she’ll tell fun stories and she’ll make sure that you’re having a great time. In terms of the speed of the food coming out, I am always prepared for a long wait for food here. I don’t mean it in a bad way. I’ve been told both times that the wait for food would be an hour or longer but was told it was worth it. The wings are juicy, the sauce is sweet(has a little kick but not a lot for a medium sauce and that’s the way I like it. The prices are great for what you’re getting. The wings are the best I’ve had in Buffalo along with the Finn Fries. I have yet to have the wing dip because it has always been sold out when I come… which must mean good things! It’s small, it’s cozy, it’s a dive and it’s fun. Don’t come here if you’re in a rush, but make sure you come here!

I will tell you the whole menu: Wings-mild, medium, hot Buffalo wing dip with tortilla chips Chicken Fingers-Plain, mild, medium, hot Burger– You can get bacon and American Cheese for $ 2.25 extra Corned Beef Sandwich– just corned beef and bread Pizza logs Seasoned Fries Potato Salad My party bought medium wings, burgers, fries, and the potato salad. The potato salad tastes like an 8 year old made them. The fries are okay. The burger tastes like it was bought in a box at Sam’s Club and very well done; honestly, it didn’t even taste like it was beef. The wings were cooked well; Moist on the inside and crunchy on the outside but the sauce really was just Frank’s hot sauce with some garlic and butter thrown into it. I couldn’t taste the chicken. The wait staff were a little rude and short with us. We ate outside which meant there were bees everywhere and our waitress just dismissed our worries. Never Again.

I absolutely love their wings. I went here for the first time last Fall when I moved to South Buffalo. I haven’t been back since but, now that I think about it… I’m due for their wings! I remember the bartender was super nice and helpful. If I remember correctly I ordered fries and there were too many to finish. It seems like it’s in a sketchy neighborhood but it’s definitely worth the visit at least once.

If you want fantastic chicken wings, Nine Eleven is the place. Plain and simple. This is not the place for best service or best atmosphere but absolutely best wings! Nine Eleven is a dive bar. There is limited seating and a tiny menu. The tiny menu isn’t a problem because honestly, wings should be the only thing you’re ordering here! However, I highly recommend the hand cut garlic fries as an appetizer. They are perfection. The wings typically take awhile to come out. I was told they only have one fryer, even with their heightened popularity. The wait will be well worth it! The chicken wings are the biggest you will ever find! They are consistently cooked perfectly every time. You never have to specify crispy while ordering. They always have the ideal crisp. The sauce is brushed on, instead of tossed to maintain the crispness. The sauce is sweet and delicious. It has Parmesan cheese mixed into it. I absolutely love how they are presented! They are displayed on the plate in the prettiest way! I’m sure you can’t imagine chicken wings being pretty but just wait until you see it for yourself! **TIPS** *Nine Eleven accepts CASHONLY!

This place may not look like much from the outside, but give this place a chance. It is a dive bar gem that has some of the best chicken wings in the area. May be even better than where the Buffalo wing originated at the Anchor Bar and Duffs. Be prepared to wait awhile good wings take time to cook. They have a full bar right when you walk in and have limited seating a small dining room and a few tables outdoors. They have a small menu which consist of wings, fries and a few other appetizers. We ordered wings medium because we didn’t know how hot their sauce was and french fries. They brought the fires out so we could much while the wings cooked. They took quite some time to cook, but boy are they worth the wait. The seasoning and spice they put on them is perfect and just the right kick. They are supper crispy and the presentation is great! We ordered a lot of wings and were so full but they were that good that we couldn’t stop! Will for sure be back again to get some wings when the mood strikes. They waitress was super nice and always making sure we were taken care of.

Walking in to 911 Tavern, we were greeted by the bartender and the friendly wait staff. We sat down at the bar and ordered a few drinks. We didn’t wait too much longer to order some wings. They are far superior than any other wings around. Even crispy the next day! We also ordered a side of fries which seemed to be a bit over done, not very crispy, but seasoned well. I didn’t care too much. The real home run is the wings.

Stopped by here before annual City of Nights for some wings after hearing from so many fellow Unilocalers and South Buffalo friends that this is the place where the best Buffalo wings are made. We arrived and were promptly seated on the outdoor patio. Ordered some drinks and were told the wait for wings and fries was going to be 35 minutes. Normally this does not bother me as we were sitting outside with a cold brew on a nice summer day but I was somewhat hangry and bothered that despite not being very busy, the place that served the best Buffalo wings could not handle the demand. Regardless, the wait was what it is. Fries came out first and let me tell you, if you are like me and LOVE garlic, you will love these fries. So. Much. Garlic. And he best part is they were cooked to perfection. Not a piece of burnt garlic(yuck) to be found. Wings came next. We ordered 10 mild(for weak me) and 10 medium for my boyfriend. The heat level for their sauce is very low so I am fairly certain I could have handled medium. The wings were so delicious! So crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. What I did notice was that the sauce is definitely on the sweeter side… not what you would have expected for a chicken wing but still very delicious. The verdict: stop by if you are not hangry like me. My favorite wings in Buffalo were hands down from Gabriel’s Gate in Allentown. However, this place is a super close second. I think if you enjoy your wings on the hotter side, go to the Gate. I would love to come back here in the future. Wish they offered BBQ(not Buffalo I know). Finally, super important detail: CASH only!

Pretty easy place to find. Small bar right in West Seneca. Is the area nice? Meh… Not really. But that’s not why I’m here. I hear the wings are good so I thought I would give it a try. Draft list is interesting. Random collection of 7 beers. No labatt? I thought this was Buffalo?! Only have 3 sauces… Mild, medium, and hot. Is that scarce? Maybe. Surprising? Sure. Let’s see if they back it up. Bucket of wings for 41 bucks? Sounds good to me! We grabbed a couple pitchers, a bucket of medium wings, and a huge plate of fries. Fries were great. Had a nice seasoning on them and are homemade. The wings were quite good and lived upto the hype. I like mine crispy and generally have to tell places to make sure they’re crispy… but these were the perfect amount of crisp. The medium sauce lacked the heat, but I’m confident that the hot sauce would be fine(maybe even a little weak?). The wings were better than I thought, and featured some kind of seasoning on them that was a mix of garlic and parmesan cheese? When I asked the bartender what that seasoning was, he gave me a remark similar to «If I told you, I’d have to kill you.» I respect that. Unlike a couple previous reviewers, I don’t think they are at all like Duff’s or Anchor Bar at all, partly because of that unique seasoning. Tab with 3 pitchers, a huge plate of fries, and a bucket of wings came to a little less than $ 100. I was fine with that price and I think it was worth it. This place has made my short list of favorite wings in Buffalo.

After debating for hours whether to go to Anchor Bar, Duff’s or Gabriel’s Gate, we decided to go here. It’s our first time at Buffalo and we wanted to try the best buffalo wings. No need to try others. These are… The Best buffalo wings ever. The hot sauce can be hotter because I love really really hot wings. But they are still very delicious! And their finn fries are sooo good, steaming hot from frying and super garlicy! I would definitely come back. Our waitress was very nice and accomodating as well. One thing — cash only. Good thing we had some.

OK so I have been hearing about how these may be the best wings in the city and since I live in South Buffalo I figured I should at least check them out. Stopped here last night after Silo City CNU22 event. Only a couple people in the bar, but I asked if they were still serving as it was just after 10pm. They were so I sat at the bar and ordered a double order of wings, hot. For a beer to wash it down there was really only one good choice Aviator Red. Tap selection was a bit weak, so luckily there is the push to serve local and now most places at least having some Flying Bison. Wings came out relatively quick, and boy did they look delicious. I let them cool for a second and then dug in. Now if you are looking for a standard Buffalo hot wing, these are really good. They were crispy outside, juicy and fall off the bone inside. Noticed they give all drummettes and no wing mid-section as well. They are big and meaty too. As to the sauce, well that is what they are supposed to be known for, and I was unimpressed. It was spicy but not so hot that they slowed you down from eating them. For a traditional wing they might be the best in the city, but really I would still take Conlon’s on Abbott Rd’s House wings over these, as they have a really unique sauce that these can’t compare too. So that being said I would have probably given this place 4 stars except for three things. 1) those wings are a bit pricey, with the one beer the total came out to $ 21.75, which is a bit higher than I expect at a corner pub, 2) the men’s room is horrid and looks like it might fall to pieces while you are in there. And 3) that weak tap selection, gotta have some kind of good micro brew choice.

This place is where you go if you want to discuss 911 theories, or drink a drink for all of those who died on that horrible day. Down the road is the seven eleven tavern, when you go if you want to drink a Big Gulp. Then there’s the 10 to Eleven tavern, which rings its«last call» bell at, you guessed it, 10 til Eleven. And of course the Eleven Eleven opticians, which can’t promise to give you perfect vision, but can promise that if you only have 1010 vision, that it will make your vision 10% better, or one tenth of the way to the much-coveted 2020 vision. OK, none of the aforementioned is true. But, I heard the wings here were amazing and famous and all of those classic superlatives, so I stopped in to check them out, and they were pretty good. I’m surprised that so many people rave that they are the best in town though, because they were not in that category for me. Not out of this world, not the best I ever had, but definitely worth trying :) Reminded me a bit of Bar Bill. And after I ordered, I did indeed get a bar bill. Spooky coinkydinks for the win. (Hint: If people who love this also say Anchor Bar and Duff’s are good… that makes a lot of sense to me… because to me those are the absolute bottom of the barrel and even one of the less-than-mediocre Pizza Joints in town can make better wings than them. Just my opinion of course)

Delicious, delicious wings in South Buffalo. Their menu is super simple: wings, burgers, chicken tenders… and I’m pretty sure that’s about it. They don’t try to do a million things, but the one thing that I can definitely vouch for is that they do wings extremely well. This isn’t your Duff’s or Anchorbar… it’s better! Delicious, yet simple wet rub and very meaty pieces of chicken. I can only speak of their medium/hot rub. I think their blue cheese is house made as well. The best part? An order of 10 won’t cost you over $ 1+ per wing like at the formerly mentioned. Nope, totally reasonably priced at around $ 8 per ten or around $ 14.99(I think) for 20. They have some seating inside or you can sit at the bar. The place resembles a dive(which you can confirm for yourself by visiting the bathroom), but aside from a more or less rundown toilet, the place is kept pretty clean and the staff is superbly friendly. Fantastic little gem — totally worth checking out for wings. You won’t find any comparable wings unless you drive 35 minutes down to East Aurora for Bar Bill.
