Warm and Fuzzy Home Heating and Cooling

We just bought our house this year and we were unsure if the furnace or AC have ever been serviced or checked. The house is only a few years old so probably not. I tried calling around to a few companies and it’s so weird to me how rude and off putting a business can be when you call as a potential new customer. Warm and Fuzzy was actually warm when I called them! The woman who answered the phone was super sweet and nice. She listened to what I needed and scheduled a time for the service man to come. We bought a furnace/​AC check package, they will come back in spring to check the AC. Apparently it needs to be above 65 degrees to have an AC checked.
Warm and Fuzzy showed up this morning to check the furnace. I was a little worried they might find something wrong because you never know if someone is going to invent a problem knowing you would have little idea if they were lying or not. No worries with Warm and Fuzzy, the technician was honest and cleaned and checked our furnace out without issues. We got a clean bill of health on it, which is always a nice investment to check the integrity of your major appliances.
The technician showed up within 15 minutes of the appointment time, which was nice too. I’m sort of getting used to when businesses give you an appointment time, it’s generally more of a suggestion of when they might show up. So when a company comes when they say they will I’m like, awesome!
Very happy with Warm and Fuzzy so far, they have been professional and the cost is reasonable to the service provided.

After suffering through an awfully hot summer in 2014 with a broken central air conditioner, I decided 2015 would be my year to get it replaced and live comfortably. I had a couple other estimates quoted that were nowhere near the great deal I received from Warm and Fuzzy. Jeff was absolutely a no pressure salesman, which I very much appreciated. He instantly responded to my web request for information and was more than accommodating to my schedule. He also listened to my concerns and offered recommendations to fit my budget. I also appreciated the financing offers available.
The installation took place only two weeks after I initially signed the contract and was completed in around 6.5 hours. They even replaced my old thermostat for me. I would not hesitate to recommend Warm and Fuzzy for any heating or air conditioning needs.

Normally, I do not give bad reviews, but I honestly can’t believe the service from Warm and fuzzy.
My husband and I moved to WNY from ENY, this means we have a different area code. We have moved numerous times in our lives and have kept the same phone numbers with each move. I feel this information needs to be provided because when I gave the receptionist at Warm and Fuzzy my phone number (the number I’ve had for 10 years) she didn’t record it properly.
So when I left work earlier in order to make my appointment, no one called and no one came. At 3:45 PM, I called and was told that the tech tried to call numerous times but wasn’t able to get a hold of me. OK, that is probably true. They probably did try to call, they tried to call the wrong number.
I’m OK with mistakes, everyone makes them, but when Kevin said «I’m not sure which side the mistake occurred» I was just about ready to scream. Whatever happened to customer service? Whatever happened to the customer being right.
The disrespect I felt when the receptionist and Kevin both tried to blame me was unbelievable. I did my part. I gave my correct information. I made an appointment. I requested time off work. I arrived at my home at 2PM and waited for the tech to arrive. I tired out my dogs so that they would not bother the tech. So why was I treated with attitude and disrespect?
Because there is no accountability and customer service is a long lost dream. Another issue with this situation is that the tech was sent home. So the tech, Warm and Fuzzy, and I all lost money today because a receptionist was unable to simply understand that there are 3 numbers called an area code that precede a phone number.
I know nothing of their services other than the above and I will never know how nice their services are because their receptionist is incompetent and Kevin blamed me for her incompetence.

Comparable price quote to several other companies for basically identical products. So the price was fair.
I do like that they have a «Values» portion of their website too, maybe that’s me be naïve. but it worked for me.
The salesman was knowledgeable and low pressure, actually all of the salesmen we had out were. I think it was obvious they knew we planned on buying a furnace and knew ours was dying.
This salesman mentioned a couple of things that the other’s didn’t that set Warm and Fuzzy apart from the others. They expanded the size of some of the return duct work saying that it was too small (the 3 other companies didn’t mention it). He didn’t try to sell us a new AC unit, but mentioned if we planned on doing it soon he could save us a few hundred bucks by replacing the evaporator (the part inside) when everything was taken apart. Another nice perk was they said if the furnace completely stopped working that they would replace it on an emergency type schedule and still stick to their quote.
Installation was done in 3 or 4 hours. The guys showed up exactly on time, were courteous and polite, and cleaned up everything. All NYSERDA and tax paperwork was received within a couple of weeks as promised.

Great name and it has has an «our core values» tab on its website. How often do you see that on a service provider’s site? Maybe it’s cause I’m from Brooklyn (where a service provider might have a «core demand» like pay all cash when we get there, and clear your schedule, cause it could be anytime) but these guys are great. They come when they say they’re going to. The give an estimate and stick to it. They work work with an energy auditor to get everything efficient and ready for the season. I wish I’d know about them sooner. I trust them to give me the best advice, best price and best work.
