Mathnasium of Buford

We love Mathnasium! The best part is not having to schedule times to go… you just go whenever they are open. The price is the same if you go five times or fifteen times a month. You are literally in charge of how much value you get out of it. And you can work them around your schedule instead of hustling to make an appointed time slot.
The first visit is when they do the assessment, which takes 1 — 1.5 hours depending on the child. They then develop a learning plan and fill a big binder with assignments. If your child doesn’t need help with homework, they get straight to work on things in the binder.
They do mastery checks along the way to be certain the child truly understands a concept before moving on. And they will also have the child repeat the same assessment so you can see the progress on paper. My daughter went from a dismal 36% to an 88% in three months!
My 6^th grader has liked every staff person that has helped her. There are always plenty of people on hand to assist the kids and my daughter simple loves their approach to pointing out incorrect answers. They never flat out tell them an answer is wrong, instead they might say, «Let’s take another look at this one.»
My daughter’s confidence has grown so much. She is now proud to say that she asks questions in class and doesn’t shy away from answering questions either. One of her favorite parts are the punch cards where they can earn prizes… REAL prizes, not just trinkets. Last week she received a $ 10 gift card to AMC theaters, she was thrilled.
Even if you are capable of helping with math homework at home, it’s hard (at least for me it was!) to find the gaps where they have missed of forgotten concepts. Mathnasium’s organized approach is very effective and will have my child working above grade level very soon!

Mathnasium has been a life saver to my high school student. My son was frustrated and not having any success in school until we signed him up with Mathnasium. We are thankful for the terrific support provided by the team. My son might never love Math but he now understands and is able to be successful in school.
