History

Established in 2011.

After completion of his orthodontic residency, Dr. Michael Phelan opened his private practice in 1989 in the Buford/​Sugar Hill area. After completion of her orthodontic residency, Dr. Meredith Dempsey joined Dr. Phelan’s practice in January 2010. Dr. Phelan and Dr. Dempsey formed a partnership in January of 2011.

Dr. Michael Phelan grew up in the midwest and graduated from Mountain Brook High School in Birmingham, Alabama. He moved to Georgia in 1979 and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1982. Dr. Phelan then earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree and his orthodontic residency certificate from the Medical College of Georgia. After completion of his orthodontic residency, Dr. Phelan opened his private practice in 1989 in the Buford/​Sugar Hill area.

Dr. Meredith Dempsey grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia and graduated from Woodward Academy. She then graduated with honors from the University of Georgia in 2003 with a degree in nutrition, and in 2007 she earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Following dental school, she completed her residency at the Medical College of Georgia in 2009, earning a specialty certificate in orthodontics. Dr. Dempsey joined Dr. Phelan’s practice in January of 2010.
