Greg’s White River Guide Service

I have had the pleasure of fishing with Greg on several occasions over the past couple of years. Another White River guide first referred him to us when we needed multiple boats for a day of fishing. Greg stole the show that day with both his prowess at getting fish in the boat AND with his personality. My husband and I fish A LOT and fish everywhere. We always use guides to familiarize ourselves with an area. It’s like visiting a city you don’t know at all but you have a best friend who can show you all the best places. Well, a great guide shows you all the best places on a body of water and the best technique and shares a host of local information. Greg does all this and with a friendly and outgoing personality. He has been terrific with ALL the age groups I have thrown at him since our first trip on the river. Everyone loves a day with Greg. Now I have to book trips with just my husband and I so I can get a chance to fish with him. I just completed a week in Arkansas and fished with Greg on three days. We caught lot’s of fish and we caught big fish.
His boat is a pleasure. It’s really clean, better built and roomier then other’s I have been on. Greg build it himself and really thought out everything. So gear is not underfoot, and every little tackle item is always in a spot within hands reach of the guide so he can have you and your rod in the water doing what you should be doing… experiencing fantastic White River action. He also has a jet motor… no prop. So he and his boat manage all the water fluctuations on the White River without a thought. HIs boat chairs are comfy and new, his equipment is in great shape, with always an extra rod or two ready in case you snag on one of the White’s million rocks. No problem, he hands you a rod ready to go while he fixes your problem. Cold water always available. Lots of bait and all kinds. Good shore lunch, should you choose a full day with lunch.
Greg knows the river and has PEOPLE SKILLS. I have had guides with good knowledge just ruin a day with their quirky personalities. I want to relax, learn something new and have fun. I don’t want to be someone’s shrink. No such problem here at all. He’s easy to work with, easy to get a hold of and prompt to respond. As I said before, he also has managed up to four boats for me when we have had large family groups. Made the whole process a cinch. Greg is my FIRST choice in guides for the White River. If you are going to fish a great river, why not go with a great guide? HAVE FUN!

Greg is super nice and über knowledgeable. He set us on fish like no bodies business. He cleaned and even gave fabulous cooking ideas. The franks red sauce and fish fry was AMAZING!!!
