A World of Color

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! I am bringing my son here so we can relax and do painting together.
Carmen, took her time with my son and showed him the process of how clay is molded and cast. My son LOVED his experience!

I recently visited a word of color with my daughter. We heard that they were under new management and wanted to check it out. The staff was very friendly and attentive!
It was a great experience for myself and my daughter! I will book her birthday party here, they have great birthday packages! We will definitely refer our friends and family! Also the prices are awesome!

I’ve been here a few times with my daughter and we love it. The staff is nice. Its a small place, but its perfect to spend some one on one time with my daughter. Recently we decided to celebrate my daughters 4^th birthday here & it went so well. The owner & her helper (I think it was her daughter) were so helpful. They offered to help carry things, help set up & not only did the owner offer to help me serve the Yogurtland I got for my daughters party she did it all. I was so thankful. The kids had a great time as did I seeing my daughter enjoy her party. We are very happy with this place.

I took my daughter and her two best friends here to celebrate her birthday. We all painted something and had a blast!
There were plenty of choices of what to paint and there were some unique paints I hadn’t seen before.
One of the girls accident broke a piece of pottery and the staff couldn’t have been nicer about it.
We will definitely be back!

I went in over the holiday break with my son for some fun. I was offered very small object with little selection for my Groupon. I was told to pick paint and that was it. Upon pick up I saw how terrible my items looked. The girl that was attending asked if I painted them 3 times. First of all the paint given in the small plates is not enough to paint 3 times and she offered to reprint them for me to make them look better. Then she was like «it might» come out better. So clearly the original staff did not care enough to give me proper instructions to make my items look best, she was honestly bothered by us being there and then today it was maybe, sometimes it works. Wouldn’t recommend at all. Shame on this small business owner for not encouraging her staff to provider the store with better customer service.

This is my first time at A World Of Color. Went in with a Groupon and asked the lady what I could get with this. ($ 10 for $ 20 off pottery for two). I thought what a great idea to take my 2 year old granddaughter in to make a few things for her mommy for Christmas and check out a local business. When I went on their website it said NO STUDIO FEE THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER. We arrived at 11 o’clock just as they were opening. I said this is my first time and I have a Groupon and she said it’s for $ 20 in pottery, which I understood and said I was interested in making something that incorporated my granddaughters hand print for a Christmas present. She suggested a plate or mug.(I’ve been to a different studio over 15 years ago with my kids and I had them do large tiles maybe 7×7. So I thought that it would be nice to do the same] I saw a small 3×3 tile $ 5 and a mug $ 18. Perfect. A few dollars over that’s fine.
We were asked to pick colors. They had many colors to choose from and a small thumbnail size tile with the color after being fired. (which I’ve learned is much nicer than the color paint you are given. So you need to envision the final product in your mind) I picked a base color and used it on both the tile and mug. And them let my granddaughter paint away.
The lady offered to do the handprint and my granddaughter wanted nothing to do with it. We tried to encourage her but she just started to throw a fit so that was the end of that. I quickly painted her name and date on each of the items and called it a day.
I was wrung up and thinking it was going to be under $ 5 was a little shocked see a bill for almost $ 20. I looked at the bill and asked why I was being charged $ 12 in studio fees when there’s a sign saying ALL NOVEMBER NO STUDIO FEE. Well because I was using a Groupon that didn’t apply because they don’t combine deals. Ok fair enough, but two things… Well no three things…
First I’ve never been before so when you’re giving a run down of your business, let the customer know there is a $ 6 sitting fee per person.
Second, I see a sign that says no studio fee. Great. Makes up for the extremely overpriced pottery. Which by the way, the process went up from the first time I was there and a few weeks later when I picked up my pottery. Thought that a little odd when they had a promotion that was giving free sitting fee for the month. (Gotta make it up somewhere I guess)
Third, a business shOuldn’t hide fees. I came in specifically for granddaughter to make a few items for her mother for ChrisTmas. So I shouldn’t have been charged for a studio fee. Or my two year old should not have been charged. What a rip off.
To top it off, I didn’t need the Groupon because by not using the Groupon I would have saved $ 12 studio fee. Instead I saved $ 10 on pottery. And she made no adjustments.
I left angry with a grumpy toddler.
I came back two weeks later and I gave them my name and showed me our tile and cup. For spending $ 40 there a few things I expect to happen, 1 use a full sheet of wrapping paper to protect the product. Literally taped a small square on each item 2 ALL the brushes are thrashed. For a painting business it would be meaningful to have brushes that don’t look like they’ve been played in the mud pit by a toddler for weeks. No straight lines can be drawn.
3 explain all the costs before anyone starts painting. I figured a mug at $ 18 that price includes everything. I was wrong.
And when I picked up my 2 pieces I checked the price of the small tile that she told me was $ 5, but charged me, $ 8, and is now $ 10. Shady practice.
I am really disappointed. I’ve been trying to shop local but it seems so far I’m just getting taken. Thank goodness for Unilocal. The world needs to know the poor choices
Owners make so they can see why their businesses are failing.
Doubt I’ll every be back. At least Color Me Mine offers free painting for kids. Just ludicrous to pay $ 6 for a two year old who did 3 minutes of painting.

My two children and I went in here to paint on Veterans Day. We were greeted by Celine who helped us pick out what my little girl and boy wanted to paint, took her time to find out exactly what shades of the particular color they wanted! My little boy decided on a train piggy bank and my little girl a unicorn. My little girl started to not feel so great halfway through and we finished up but as we were leaving BOTH of my kids wanted to be carried, without missing a beat Celine came over and carried my son out with me, while I carried my little girl. Where else would you get this? She was SO sweet, so concerned with how my little girl was doing, I was coming back anyway because the store is so cute and well presented but Celine was the icing on the cake!

Took my daughter to have a peaceful relaxing day.
This place is great. Very nice environment. Alejandra was a wonderful helper. I recommend it to everyone.

This is our third time here and we love it! Everyone is so nice and helpful, and they have a great selection! We will definitely be coming back!

Thanks You Seline, My kids and friends will enjoy his cereal bowls :) plenty of parking if you walk. very calm atmosphere and relaxing. I will definetly come back with my girlfriends next time for some painting and wine sipping. LOL

Alejandra was super patient and helpful. She helped with color and brush selection. I came on Sunday and saved the $ 6.00 studio fee making this an affordable and most enjoyable afternoon of creativity. Can’t wait to come back with the kiddos!

Brought my mom here for a belated mother’s day brunch ‘n’ paint. We had such a good time. The employees were super helpful and attentive, and the selection was diverse and awesome! Recommended!

This business is dishonest. My contact person was Silene Espita. She charged me $ 832 dollars to attend my son’s 7^th birthday party and she always wanted cash. At first, she wanted cash for the deposit but did not have time to stop by my office so she took an AMEX. But at the party she wanted cash which made me very suspicious (either she overcharged or she will not be reporting this to the IRS). The quality of the ceramics are small and poor. She was 40 min late to my son’s party which she stayed at for only 1.45 minutes and she charged me $ 16 per child. She placed her ad in every bag that left with the child but to her mistake. In the ad, the birthday promo is $ 150 for 10 kids which makes it $ 15 per child. She did not bring painting smocks/​aprons for the children. My mother made it for the 52 kids that were present. She is disorganized and some kids left w/​out their ceramics. To say this lady/​company misrepresented their services/​goods is putting it nicely. She would not take the check if made out to the company but only if made payable by «cash» Do not use them for any parties and parents did complain about Silene – she is not very friendly. Beware, this company is a scam. I rarely review on Unilocal but I felt this was critical for the public to know.
I was just notified of the owner’s response. It is interesting she fails to comment why she wanted cash and would not accept credit card payments for the remaining $ 732 she charged me when her ad online clearly states she accepts credit cards. Again, you should be very suspicious of their business practices. She also emailed me this morning with less than a professional tone.

Took my kids today to World Of Color and I was more than surprised by how wonderful this local place is. The staff was super helpful and kind. It is very affordable as compared to some of their competitors. I will be taking my kids back to paint again soon!

I took a group of 12 employees here for a team building event. The entire experience was great. They worked with my budget to come up with a good plan, helped take care of everyone while we were there (even put on good music for us) and overall everyone had a really nice time. I look forward to going back to pick up our finished work this week. Don’t think this is only for kids — people of any age will enjoy it! :)

Really great. Total spent for 2 ceramic pieces and paint $ 21.00. If you go on Sat between 11−1pm, there is no studio time fee. Very friendly service. Way cheaper then Color Me Mine

I would give a 5-​star but the ceramics are a little over-​priced. Staff is very friendly. Cute place.

The owner promptly reached out after I posted a negative review. She apologized and explained the reason for not being open at regular time. I appreciate that.
I stopped by today with my 2 year old during business hours (11am) and it was closed. Very disappointing. We waited 15 minutes and nothing. I called their number and got no answer.

Very cool spot. Never considered into making a trip into a pottery place. Better then spending two tickets at the movies, I’d rather spend that here and make something that lasts forever. Perfect for making a special moment, whether it be with the kids, boy/​girlfriend or your spouse for your anniversary. But not just that making a gift for someone and there’s so many choices of pottery you can pick something that will actually be useful and not just sit on the shelf. I’ve heard there’s classes, and you can have birthday parties there. Enjoined it very much with my son can’t wait to see the finish product.
