My name is Alexander «Alex» Ela and I’m a Los Angeles based musician and music teacher, dedicated to helping beginning guitar and bass students learn the tools they need to compose their own material, perform live, or simply play their favorite songs.

I have been playing guitar for 9 years and bass for 11 years and I offer my students patience, understanding, knowledge and encouragement. I am a teacher who believes there is always much to learn for students and teachers alike. I specialize in teaching rock, blues and folk, but am happy to help students learn songs in different musical genres.

I have been teaching guitar and bass for the past 2 and a half years with Beginning Guitar & Bass Lessons.

I have been playing guitar for 9 years and bass for 11 years, taking lessons during my first 4 years of playing. I have spent the last 6 years composing and recording my own songs, playing with other musicians, playing live shows, and continuing to study music theory.
