Bow Wow Bungalow

Even though we had a bad experience with boarding here, I continue to use their daycare services!
I feel the need to update my review because my pups and I love their daycare services and I do not have any complaints about it!
Great hours, clean, friendly front desk staff and the handlers seem awesome!

I am so thankful for this doggy day camp! My energetic, curious, scary smart puppy love this puppy Disneyland. She perks up every time she hears the word «day camp». The staff are super friendly, the facility is clean and spacious. The rates are very reasonable and their hours are unbeatable. They’re open later than most doggy day camp.
My husband had concerns about taking her initially. Not knowing if our puppy will bully another dog like she does in our home. She is the youngest of our 4-​some. My Rigby, (Frenchy-​Pug) enjoys herself so much at the day camp that she knocks out in the car after pick up and we only live 5 minutes away. She’s more social and she’s stopped picking on our older (not to mention) smaller dogs. Rigby and I gives this place 4-​paws up and a waggy tail!!!

Every time that I’m thinking of sceduale a vacation I’m getting nervous about who is going to take care of my pup.
After a Unilocal research I found these guy’s and decided to give them a chance.
I brought him to their day care for 2 days in a row to check it and to let him get used to the place before I board him for 3 nights.
He had so much fun and was so happy after being there that I haven’t had any doubts about the place.
The staff was very professional and the first time in my life I could trust someone else beside me to take care of him.
They are awsome!!! After 4 days there he was very happy and tired (he loves water and they actually have a pool so that was great!!).
Also they sent me an email with his pic while he was there and that was awsome!!! (Thank you for that)
He had a great time and I would definitely use them again!
Thank you bow wow bungalow for taking good care of my puppy and make me feel calm about him the whole time he was there.

I can’t say more about how much we (and Valkyrie) LOVE going to «school» and daycare at Bow Wow. Valkyrie has been going to Bow Wow since she was a cute «little» four month old German Shepherd. She was an absolute TERROR!!! Biting, scratching, running away, jumping on our two year old and just generally doing every puppy thing she could think of! To add to it, we have a two year old and newborn so we had to get help and more attention to our 3^rd «baby». Over the past five months, Bow Wow has literally transformed Valkrie into a loving, trained and «mostly» well behaved German Shepherd toddler. She walks like an angel, ignores other barking dogs, listens and has become a sibling to our two kids. Even though I wouldn’t leave her alone with the kids just for piece of mind at this age — she is kind and gentle with both of them. Darion is the lead trainer at Bow Wow and after we went through FOUR other trainers — I would recommend him above anyone else! He is literally the «dog whisperer» of Burbank. They worked with us to have Valkrie trained first weekly at Bow Wow (for a great price too) and most importantly trained US how to train her instead of only training her. Many other trainers that we worked with focused much more on the dog instead of helping us learn how to be better trainers ourselves. Valkyrie is at daycare 5 days per week along with our two kids now and it is SO good for her. We are constantly getting photos of her playing with her «buddies» and the place is literally like Doggie Disneyland. They are kind enough to dry her off before she comes home but I know she lives in their awesome water features which she LOVES! Best of all — with two kids I know I can’t run her out as much as a puppy needs — especially a German Shepherd working dog! She comes home each day from Bow Wow WIPED OUT!!!
Lastly, I can’t say enough about everyone who works there. They manage to hire the nicest, most awesome people. Everyone from the front desk staff who know you by name (or your dog’s name) and have waited with Valkyrie patiently for my 2 year old son to use the restroom AGAIN to the people in the yard who come out to my car to get her almost everyday so I don’t have to unload the kids to bring her inside. The director Leilani has been SO accommodating to our family. She has gone way out of her way to customize packages for Valkyries needs and always calls right back — even if it’s late at night. The whole place is just such a gift to have so close by. We and Valkyrie are so thankful for everyone there.
I almost forgot — they have a screaming deal on bathing your dog which is a back saver and SO convenient. Don’t miss out!

She’s still been coming here for most of her dog-​life now and it’s the only place where I take her, where if I sit in the car wrapping up a phone call or whatever… she throws a fit to get inside. Twice she came out at the end of the day and hesitated… like she was deciding between me and the daycare. I’m so grateful for them because I never worry about her when she’s there and I know she’s high energy and they are so good with her. They also have grooming, which it’s very hard to take her to a groomer but since this place is already her obsession, I just have them do it at the end of the day on occasion and it never changes her excitement to go the next time.

I love BWB! My little doggie would probably be content to stay home and sleep all day, but we like to socialize her and give her some more exercise a couple times a week, so Bow Wow is the perfect place for us. They run a special where you can bring your dog up to 2x a week for only $ 20 a day (reg. $ 35/​day). So $ 20 – 40 a week for our dog to get some good playtime in is a great deal, and means we don’t have to rush home at lunch time or after work to walk her.
The registration process is pretty easy and you just have to bring your dog in for a short trial (call ahead because you can only come during certain times)– they will then come back and let you know if she can stay. If so, your dog will get a free half day of daycare that day to continue to monitor and see how she plays and gets along with the other pooches. After that, you can come back as often as you want. They are open every day, weekdays until 9 pm, weekends until 8 pm. My only complaint would be that I wish they were open until 9 on the weekends as well. My husband and I like to go to Disney on Sundays sometimes and we have to rush back to get there by 8, but that’s a minor complaint :-)
We have boarded our dog here a few times and BWB was great. The kennels are large and open air, there are heaters and fans and beds (but bring your dog’s bed from home to make her more comfortable) and they will send you daily pictures and you can call to check in on them. Boarding is $ 55/​night and includes daycare and food (unless you bring your dog’s food which is recommended if they eat a different type).
Overall, our Minnie loves going to BWB and all of the handlers are so friendly. Sometimes she cries when we drop her off (like a child) but I see her trot off happily once we’re out of sight. You can also watch on the webcams which is a great feature — fun and exciting to see your pup trot by or relaxing on one of the indoor/​outdoor rocks.
We have a new dog (Margot) and will be bringing her to Bow Wow very soon to expel some of her crazy energy!
