Brad’s Lock Service

Brad and my fiancé started off on the wrong foot. Now he’ll be here first thing in the morning. Unilocal truly acts as a great medium for resolving simple miscommunication with customers ending with money spent as well as earned.

I bought a honda civic and the key only worked for the passenger door and the ignition. I was getting tired of having to unlock the driver side door in order to unlock the passenger side door. for example the key didn’t work on the passenger side so I had to go to the driver side unlock that door then hit the switch inside to unlock the passenger door. to top it all off, had to keep popping my trunk and I didn’t have the key for the seat in the back to fold it down, or the key for the lock on the floor to lock the trunk and gas. I came across some scratch and jumped on Unilocal to see which three auto locksmiths who was close with good reviews. I called two others then I call this guy up. The guy gave me a quote «sounds great to me» He then told me he’d be here in a half hour, and he got here in like 10 minutes (I ain’t even have to go anywhere he came to me) He made me ONE key for everything with computer chip for as much as some people were asking to pay to have two separate keys. He was done in like a 5 minutes! Amazing all those locks! oh plus he even reconnected my trunk wire or something…

I lost my 1983 Jaguar XJ6 keys and so set off on a hunt for a locksmiths. It turned out to be a nightmare as they all said it will be an extremely difficult job and cost less to just change out the locks — until I spoke to Brad. He not only did the job, but for half the cost of the others — thanks Brad!

Call this Locksmith when your locked out of your vehicle. Friday 3÷6÷15 I lock myself out of the U-​Haul. AAA does not provide lockout service for U-​Haul. No explanation! Just don’t ! They would source a locksmith for me at my cost, she says. So I say thank you and decline. I call U-​Haul, nice person on the other end of the phone, no service, but would call around. I said I will Unilocal it, and find one in my neighborhood. Called one ²⁴⁄₇ Locksmith that said they would call back in 5 minutes! Didn’t happen. So I called this one. This man picks up the phone, gets my address, came right away! In the middle of the night. He opens the door in 5 seconds, I paid him, and he headed home. Don’t waste your time calling anyone else. Fast, courteous, great price! Thank — you! The Best Locksmith I have ever called!

We used Brad several months ago and the experience was positive. I was locked out of the house with a less-​than-​agreeable two year old and Brad was able to get us back inside pretty quickly. It was not quite a standard lockout. As it turned out, the lock on our front door wasn’t easily pickable. This was both a relief and a frustration, but after some chatting, Brad wound up picking two less expensive locks to get us back into the house without having to take apart the front door lock. The price was the same, $ 65.

After giving away too many keys over the years, we decided to have our locks replaced. Brad came by and changed every lock in our house super fast, he was super friendly, and did a great job!

Call Brad! He knows his stuff! He will cut new keys for you on the spot! He can help you with any lock– front door, pad-​lock, mailbox, even if your keys have some form of security/​do not duplicate. He will work with you, for a fair price. For instance, we had to change our locks, he was honest and explained all pricing options, instead of just charging us straight out for a full new lock he was able to work with the lock and so we just needed new keys. He is punctual and arrived on time with a smile. Call him for an intelligent and swift experience! Thank You Brad!

I own a Suzuki Burgman scooter, which is actually closer to a motorcycle. It has a huge trunk under the seat which, in addition to carrying two full bags on groceries, is apparently also good for locking the key into!
Anyway, after trying to get the thing open myself by trying to release the seat latch, I broke down and called Brad. He was recommended by Lankershim Lock and Key (Another great local business, but they don’t do house calls.) He said he would be here in 15 minutes, but I think is was more like less then ten.
Brad was not familiar with my scooter’s locking system and was not able to get the trunk release using the key/​ignition. However, he went around to the place where i had tried unsuccessfully to open the latch, took a short look, and was able to get the trunk open in a couple of minutes. Yay!
Not only did he get my key out for me, he showed me how to open the trunk without a key in case it happens again. It’s actually pretty easy. You just take a long… wait a minute, what am I doing!!!

Great service. I had a non-​emergency auto ignition lock problem and Brad was out and finished in two hours. Good pricing, too. I shopped around a little and he had similar or better prices than the others.

Ok don’t know where these poor reviewers come from but Brad is prompt, professional and pleasant to deal with. There is no lock he can’t handle. And he’s thorough, yet reasonably priced. My whole family and friends, would not utilize anyone else! Exceptional service is a rare find !

Brad’s Lockservice was great– I was on a road trip last summer, he came right to me and got me out of a real problem. I locked my keys in my car and it only took Brad about less than five minutes to open it up.
I was so impressed how quick it was I went back to get myself a duplicate key for my sunfire, thanks again!

After AAA sent out a different locksmith who couldn’t even open my lock after a good 20 minutes; Brad was at my front door in 15 minutes and was able to open my extremely difficult lock. This man knows locks. Even after that he actually fixed the issue with the lock that was causing the problems in the first place.

A customer of mine got her key jammed in the lock in her car. She called tripple A, they sent someone who ended up breaking the key off in her ingnition and then left leaving her stranded. After fighting with tripple A for hours, on my phone, (since her cell battery had gone dead dealing with them), I called Brads lock service for her to see if he could help out as I had used him before. He arrived in no time and in just a few minutes had the brocken key out of the lock and was making her a new key. Great fast service.

I’ve used Brad several times to make duplicates keys for entire fleets of trucks and trailers on movie and television shows. He’s always been punctual, and we’ve never had a problem with the quality of his work. I will continue to call Brad for each and every job that we do.

I would not recommend this locksmith. As other users have mentioned, Brad is as unprofessional a business man as one will ever deal with.
I recently closed escrow on my house and dealt with the re-​key fee costs in escrow. That charge was $ 150. When I was given the keys to the house, I found that the only 2 locks in the house that Brad’s Lock Service replaced were barely functioning. This was because each lock only had 1 of the 2 screws holding it into place. After attempting to locate screws at several hardware stores, I found that these screws were a very unique type of screw, and were not common.
I decided to contact escrow so that I could find this random locksmith who charged me $ 150 to do a poor job on my locks. When I called Brad, he was immediately dismissive and said there was nothing he was willing to do. Period. He knew I had no recourse since he was technically hired by the home’s listing agent, and he could always fall back on saying «it was fine when I left it,» which he did say, repeatedly.
Now I am left with poor workmanship that will cost me a completely new lock set.
$ 150 wasted. Thanks for nothing Brad.
