I came to them with my 2006 scion xb after finding out the vvti actuator needed to be replaced and the car started losing power. I work on cars as a hobby but I don’t have the time nor the tools to take apart an entire engine. I met with Harvey. He has a rugged demeanor but he’s a genuine guy and he gave me a very reasonable price. I’m so happy I came to them, I was contemplating selling my car but am so glad I didn’t.

I was in the area when I noticed that my service engine light was triggered and that I needed to service my BMW. I didn’t have much free time and didn’t want to drive several miles to my dealership. I called Chrome Auto to inquire about the sensor, as I was told that they’re accustomed to dealing with sport cars. I spoke with a technician on the phone, who told me to bring my vehicle in for inspection.
After checking in (within 3 minutes), a technician got in my car, checked the system and told me that the brake fluid needed to be flushed and replaced. I showed up in the afternoon and was worried that it could take hours. The technician said they would have it done within an hour and gave me a much better price than the dealership. Believe me, there were significant savings.
Given the professionalism, quick service, savings and taking me towards the end of the day (without an appointment), I’ll definitely be checking future services with Chrome Auto.

The owner, Arbi, has great knowledge of cars and always explains everything about the problems on your car or what services he provided.
I had taken my car to many shops regarding the CHECK ENGINE light popping up after every other visit to an auto shop. Once I brought it into Chrome Auto, they right away started working on my car to try figuring out the issue. They fixed my car within two business days and my once annoying Check Engine light that would turn on all the time, does not turn on anymore & my car runs 10 times smoother!

I’ve taken my car in there on two different occasions. They have done a great job at a fair price both times. They are very honest and fair and timely. Plus they dropped me off and picked me up! Highly recommend them!

I had a very good experience at Chrome Auto. They took my car with no appointment and even drove me to my work and picked me up when my car was done. The price was reasonable and my car runs fine. I saw two negative reviews but all I know is that they treated me well, gave me fast courteous service, and did a good job on my car.

This place used to be Jamie’s automotive. Jamie was a great guy, and for over 10 years I brought my cars to him. He finally retired this last year, and sold the shop to a new owner, who renamed the place chrome auto.
I was really bummed out to see Jamie go, but since I had been bringing my cars in to this shop for so long, I figured that I’d give the new owner a try. Big mistake.
My wife hit a piece of debris on the freeway, and managed to dent her rear tie rod. I had her bring in her car and get it checked out, after speaking to a guy named «RB» (spelling?) who answered the phone at Chrome Auto. The car was still drivable, and after my wife left, RB got back to me on the phone, and described his version of what would be required to fix the car. Supposedly, he had to call around to local junk yards to find a used replacement part, and fortunately for me, he had managed to find one for me for a mere $ 500. He would additionally need 4 – 5 hours of labor to replace the part, which would be another $ 450.
This obviously sounded way too high to me, so I decided to look around a bit. (One clue was that by just looking at the part, you could easily see that it was only connected by 2 bolts. Hmmm.) I made a quick call to Glendale Mitsubishi, and guess what? They had that exact part, in stock, new, for a grand total tax included price of $ 56! Another few calls, and I was able to find a tire shop in pasadena that was able to install the part, as well as fix the alignment for $ 150. Grand total, $ 206. Chrome auto’s quote? $ 950, not including the alignment.
I’m sad to see the era of Jamie’s automotive draw to a close. This new guy is a scam artist. I will never bring any of my cars to him again– consider yourself warned!

I don’t feel like I had a good experience with these guys. I don’t trust their work or their word. They «fixed» my car and then the next day I had problems, brought it back and they took no responsibility for the car saying it drives fine… ummm yeah I had to tow it down to you! I was told I would be paid for the towing and the assit mngr refused to pay saying it is not their fault. I am kicking myself because you should never pay your mechanic in cash!
